“Three of us visited today for lunch. The waitress was amazing! Very kind and helpful. We had fried oysters, poutine, seafood gumbo, shrimp po’boy and bread pudding. Everything was amazing down to the fresh homemade fries and chunky blue cheese dressing. I had to take my bread pudding home as I was happily too full to finish. This place is a jewel for Manor. We’ll be back!”

“First timer but definitely won’t be the last. Delicious food and very large portions at a VERY affordable price. Quick service and fresh, hot food. We had the Large sampler platter, all hand battered, chicken fried steak (which was HUGE) and fried fish with rows and hush puppies. I am very particular about eating fish when out, but it was awesome. Enough for lunch tomorrow. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Cafe 290 is a great change to our dining experience in the Taylor, TX area. From great breakfast selections to amazing entree choices, this restaurant has it all. I believe the greatest quality this location possesses is the staff onsite. Marisol gave us an opportunity to overview the menu and came back with a much needed enthusiasm in the food service industry. Ken, the owner, came by to ask if anything additional was needed. Owners, like him, are what help a restaurant and staff to thrive, not only survive, in this face paced environment. The chicken tenders were properly sauced and glazed. The chicken fried steak was cooked & spiced delightfully and was the home style meal it was intended to be. Their special (Chuck’s Deluxe) is a staple for their other site in Manor and is hoping to be one here with the Ducks. Come through and enjoy some home style cooking with a twist, this side of 79!”

“I ordered 18 cake balls (Oreo and Nutella) for my son’s birthday. Although I live out of town, they did not hesitate to take the order, with one day’s turn around, and arrange for an easy pickup. I cannot say enough about T’s Cakes & More, not to mention by all accounts the cake balls were delicious!! Thank you, thank you for helping me to celebrate my son’s birthday from 400 mikes away. 😃💝😋”

“I have to admit Kelsey is the best! thank you so much for your great customer service and letting us sample the difference between brisket moist and brisket lean. That was new to our understanding of different types of brisket. She and her staff were friendly, they served us hearty portions of the value package meal we had ordered, the tea was fantastic not overly sweet and not too sour. Well made tea. Oh and that inhouse made sauce omgoodness it was delicious I skipped out on the bbq sauce and just had me that sauce Lol! If y'all in that area and haven't tried Texas Traditional BBQ, its a must you will not regret. affordable, delicious and good people. Made our evening delightful ☺️ Thanks again Kelsey! “Our first time to Maggie Valley. This restaurant was recommended to us by a family member. We ordered the pimento cheese balls, the club sandwich with onion rings, and a bbq bacon burger with fries. Everything was absolutely amazing! I could only eat half of my sandwich! It was all very fresh. I very much recommend the pimento cheese balls! Yum!! The service was great too! Will definitely be returning.”
