“My husband always calls ahead with a tamale order, she always has them ready for us, and they are delicious! My favorite is the cream cheese jalapeno. It's always lovely doing business with ”
“The owner was super nice and helped me choose a drink. I got a blueberry muffin shake, and it was so good! While I'm in town for work, I will be coming back again for another.”
“I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while as I live close by and they did not disappoint! The food is incredible! Definitely recommend to anyone and can’t wait to come back and bring more ”
“Went on SAT. Live music and a great selection of beer. They had a handful of wine options for those who prefer it. They only had one bartender serving both the outside window and inside so there were good long lines waiting at both for beverages. I have a feeling it wasn't the norm and the bartender was moving as fast as possible with a smile on his face. Will try them again.”
“Thank you for the delicious chicken dinner last night!-Edit: This time I had the best lamb I think I've ever had. Absolutely incredible food comes from this small business, easily comparable to 5 star steakhouses downtown.”
“Correa Chinese Cuisine is absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive and every entree is tasty and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend this place for people dining in Taylor, Tx.”
“Love this restaurant! The owners were in when we came and they greeted us and chatted throughout our dine in. We felt very welcomed. They even brought out a bowl of water for our dog, which was a very thoughtful touch. The pizza was excellent, and I’m excited to try more from their menu. I love Italian style pizza, and they do it super well here.”
“Louie Muellers is the undisputed king of the beef rib. When I find myself in Texas, I always make a stop at Louie Muellers. I love the authentic feel of the restaurant. You feel like you're stepping back in time. If you find yourself near Austin, skip the hours long wait at Franklin's and make the drive to Louie Muellers.”
“The service is great, always a smile. I come for the chicken flour quesadilla, and it is just perfect, the combination of good tortillas, avocado, sour cream, sauce just hits the right tones of flavor and creamy-ness in a quesadilla I don't get any other places. 2 for $12 gets you more than satisfied.”
“Everything was bursting with flavor! I got pulled pork nachos and my husband got fried chicken. Both were delicious. We got a slice of apple pie for dessert and it was delectable, the crust and filling were perfect.”
“I ate here recently and it was a good experience at all although it was better at the end than the beginning. I am not thrilled by the atmosphere of this place. It's a massive, open indoor area and the lighting is a bit cold and inconsistent: part of the area has lighting that is too bright and harsh, and other parts are dark. If they could fix it and make for more consistent, softer, warmer lighting (maybe use 2700K LED's, with more, but smaller bulbs, instead of the big ceiling lights with one turned on and another off) that would do a lot to improve the experience. The food was exquisite with one exception. The chips and beans they brought out at the beginning were WAAAY too salty and we could not eat them. However, the rest of the meal was fantastic. We ordered a pupusa, and a big bowl of vegetable soup that came with fried chicken on the side, also tamales, which came with a side of this tangy cabbage slaw. Everything was top-notch, cooked to perfection, perfectly balanced, very fresh ingredients. You could tell they had made everything from scratch. Service was a little slow but that's to be expected for stuff made with care. I am very glad we ate here, but I think some things could be done to improve the experience, notably, make the chips and beans brought out to the table much less salty, and then also improve the lighting. This is a big open indoor space and it feels a bit cold and sterile, softening the lighting could do a lot.”
“A nice little oasis! The barista was very nice and helpful. I didn’t try the food, but the cold brew w/ caramel was very sweet but yummy! Can’t wait to come back when I’m in town again ☕️”
“This place is amazing; food, drinks, owners and staff. New favorite spot in Taylor. ? You can tell there is a ton of thought and passion behind all the lil details.Went in for the first time last Friday, we met the owners and staff. They were awesome genuine people. Got the sense this is their “love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life” kind of set up.The food was well crafted. We got the OG, smoked chicken pozole, and the green chili pork. All three were perfection. I hear they have a killer burger on Fridays, you have to get there early to get one. ‘Doesn’t matter how many they throw on the grill, they sell out.’Drinks! I got the martini… one of the best I’ve ever had. That means a lot.The place felt spacious but warm and welcoming. Music was great!***Ended up counting down the days until they were open again and went back for more. ?Vegetarian options: It’s a small menu, so not a ton of options. But 2 of the 6 items are vegetarian. Salad w/ tofu, brussels, and then there are some options for sides. Kimchi, cucumber salad, vin coleslaw, etc.”
“Had a sausage wrap and some brisket, it was so delicious! Spicy barbecue sauce was yummy and not too spicy as what I thought it would be. Hands down, 10 out of 10. Friendly service as well, thank yall ☺️”
“The service and food is always excellent!! The brisket and turkey is the best in town. The Bracewells family has done a wonderful job in the wonderful family owned business.”
“This place has pretty good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Wish they had more pastry options and that parking was a little easier. It is better for working or when strolling through downtown, not as quick to get in and out for on the go coffee and breakfast.”
“Great tasting BBQ and country sides. Moist brisket, pork ribs (short and long) and sometimes mutton. (Wow) I enjoy my BBQ sauce on the side for dipping my bread instead of on my meat's.Desert's available cakes and cobbler's. Also a few grocery items. Meat's from the freezer and can good's. Friendly folk. But there early, or call, because they do run out of stuff.Continued success to you now and in the future.Parking: Easy access in and out leading to Main Street.”
“They've truly mastered the art of crafting the best mouthwatering burgers in the world with fresh ingredients!!! The exceptional service is always provided here by the owners and employees, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and happy. Cheers to Smash Daddies and may they continue to delight burger enthusiasts like us for many years to come! Thank you, Smash Daddies!!! See you soon!”
“Delicious breakfast tacos! Their freshly made flour tortilla is so good that it makes any meal extra. The staff is very friendly and attentive, too. Highly recommend restaurant.”
“It's a real chill spot to drink beer and play pool if the table is open. Their whole menu is good, but the hidden gem is their unbelievably good cheese sticks.”
“This place is so wonderful in so many ways. We popped in for a quick lunch on a busy Saturday. My husband and I shared the Beef crispy Tacos and he had a shrimp spring roll. So yummy!! We both had some really yummy adaptogen Sparkling waters. We plan on going back sometime and trying the shaved ice. It looked soooo good. There's lots to look at. While we were eating we were looking around at all the little things that were interesting. It's such a cool spot. I think the owner is the one that helped us today and she was the sweetest. Great energy from this place. I'm hoping they stick around for a long time.Dietary restrictions: I saw vegetarian and gluten free options. They seem pretty adaptable. Just ask!!”
“Great value for your money. It's all home made. They're a little light on the seasoning but still five stars. They're very friendly and accommodating. Plus it's 3-4 minutes from the Taylor Samsung facility. Can't beat it for what I've found in Taylor so far. It's not a bunch of classically trained French chef's. This is Grandma's house. ?? ”
“Good country cooking. We had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and fried okra, and hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and crinkle fries. And a piece of Texas toast to go with them both. Fast friendly small town service.”
“We live in a small town with 3 Mexican restaurants, I'm 35 and this is by far the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I wish we lived closer. The staff was great the atmosphere was inviting and everything we ordered was fresh and homemade.”
“Ordered delivery of stuffed Supreme pizza through the Slice app. Didn't realize it had all the toppings. The pepperoni plus mushrooms I ordered as toppings were stuffed with the cheese into the very large crust. This pizza was huge, with one slice filling me up. Taste was very good, so I'd go back and order something smaller”
“This was my first experience with a birria taco. One bite of this crispy and utterly delicious taco took my taste buds straight to the spirit world. Damn these things are good...”
“So far I've tried the Ground Control pizza and a couple of the grinders. The food is excellent. The crust is thin and a nice blend of chewy and crispy from a very hot oven. I added a little mozzarella when I reheated it and I'm thinking I'll order extra cheese next time. The grinders are outstanding. The bread is top notch. When you order a grinder you get a choice of sides: chips, potato salad, and honey-sriracha brussel sprouts. The potato salad is not sweet, it's smokey. And the brussel sprouts with that sweet and spicy dressing were a nice surprise.”
“There is something very special about the food here.We got there and were able to get a booth before the dinner rush set it. The mood is so intimate and relaxed it really lets you focus on enjoying the meal. Whole restaurant was spotlessly clean, it’s clear to see everything gets wiped down often and throughly.Service was fast, friendly, and orders were taken down perfectly the first time. Handled lots of to go orders and entrees still came out exceptionally fast. Each dish has a part of it that demonstrates great care. The pasta and filling on the lobster ravioli were good, and they were cooked with the upmost care, but the sauce stole the show. Creamy with a touch of acidity, and a savory buttery fish flavor that was a celebration of the dish. The pastry inside tiramisu was still crisp while the rest was firm and creamy.A surprising gem out here in Elgin Texas.”
“I am almost 50 years old and today, I ate the VERY BEST CHEESEBURGER I have ever had! It was from this place! Don’t let the outside fool ya! This was so good. I wish I would have taken a picture. It was so good, I ate it quickly.”
