“Best bologna sandwich you never knew you had to have. Onion rings were good and the free bean soup was a nice way to start the meal. Although the hush puppies were delicious, I might skip it next time as the side was I believe $3 for 3 hushpuppies. Next time I’ll save room for dessert. Looked like a great build your own ice cream corner in the back. PS. They don’t serve breakfast! Check out their Facebook page for updates.“
“Great place! My husband and I each got the bacon blue cheese burger. I had fries and he had the onion rings, which were delicious. Go hungry or split a burger, they’re huge! Family friendly. You order your food then find your own table. There’s nothing plenty of space and it’s clean.“
“Loved everything about it!One of very few little old (what I call a Mom and Pop store) convenience stores still open for business in a small town. Not only do they have your essentials but they still slice meat and cheese just like they did years ago. Last but not least they cook up some good food on the grill too from breakfast to dinner. Now I would have never known about this place OR THE BURGERS had it not been for a couple of friends telling me how good the burgers were. Months of them telling me had passed before I was able to go pick one of those friends up and go try one of those BIG BURGERS I had heard so much about. I am glad I finally had the chance. It reminded me so much of the little convenience store that my Grandfather had and I had the pleasure of working in when not in school. If you get the chance go show them some LOVE and keep this little family owned and ran store open. I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!And they do serve more than just burgers.“
“First time eating here and it will not be the last!!! Best Cajun food I’ve had in years! The oyster Poboy was delicious and they have got the best gumbo I have ever eaten! Also the ladies at the cash register were very friendly, I love this place!“
“I was looking for a small local restaurant that serves burgers and fried fish and I really lucked out with the Soul Palace. The fish was perfectly cooked in cornmeal and the onion rings are hand cut and battered. If the burger is as good as it he fish it will absolutely be a Trifecta!“
“My wife and I visited here in Marshall for dinner a few days before Thanksgiving. First, we were a bit disappointed because the décor definitely seemed was more like what you would expect from a standard non-descript hotel than a pub. The food was good, however. The Irish Guinness Beef Stew was very rich and tasty and the Pork Chop was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The best thing about our experience was our server, Zara. She manned the entire front of house, which came up to 6 tables before we left, and she managed every table quickly and efficiently with a smile. She really sold this place to us. Thanks Zara!“
“I usually don't post yelp reviews due to Karen's making it toxic but I gotta say The ladies that work overnight are very sweet the manager and I made small talk. Food was out fast and I will for sure be going back to this location.“
“Did not realize it was a restaurant, used to be a grocery store, but service was great, cookies I bought were very good, tho to soft for my taste.Parking: Just a little hard to get out, had to back out into main street, the drive thru good idea, will use it next time I go.“
