“I used to come to Orient care for over 10 years and few years ago we had a bad experience with the server and stopped coming. Last week we came back and almost everything changed. It's a lot more modern. Food price is increased from past years. It's a good pick if you wants to get Chinese food in Missouri “
“This was on my to-try list and it did not disappoint. Came in with some friends during lunch on a Tuesday and it was slow and quiet. The restaurant is spacious and bright inside. The waitstaff mainly speaks Chinese, but there are tablets you can order from on the tables. I got the beef brisket tomato noodle soup which was really good. The brisket was soft and super flavorful and the soup was tomato-y but did not taste like V8. I added in some of the chili oil and sambal that is provided at the tables and they enhanced the flavor of the soup even more. The bowl is also super large with lots of noodles and vegetables inside, so it was super filling (might even be shareable if you have a small appetite). I tried some of my friend's fish (same soup) and it was super tender and incredibly flavorful--I liked it more than the beef that I had gotten. We also got the brown sugar rice cake which was okay. It was crispy on the outside, but not that chewy. And there was a brown sugar filling on the inside which was super liquid-y and came out hot. The filling did taste a tad medicinal which I did not dislike, but did not like either. Overall, a great experience, will be returning!“
“Found another Gem of a place. Knew we wouldn’t be disappointed when the place is packed after the lunch hour. 2pm and they were still near full.Little to no wait, even when full. They clean and sit you down with a quickness! When you order there was some difficulty due to a language barrier, but if all else fails. Point at the items on the menu and got it situated. ;)We ordered and got our food in SECONDS! I was like what just happened? Did they know we were coming. Now the only bad thing: Order two of your drinks from the start. Because they never came back around. Couldn’t get a refill on water, order more, nothing. But other than that, the taste was awesome! Fresh, flavorful broth, meat was tender & delicious. It’s now on my list as a top Pho spot in Houston. They only have two locations sadly, both of which are on the west side of town. So if you’re in the area, you know where to go.Price right: 12 bucks for a large bowl, serving size is plentiful. Plenty of meat in the bowl.Took pictures of their current menu items and current price points. If you enjoy a great bowl of Pho, try Pho Sapa! You won’t be disappointed.Until next time.Parking: Parking lot seems to be full often. Just have to wait to find one near where your destination is.“
“I’m writing this review a little late. I went in In December with my sister and her friends and tried their broth noodles. We each loved our own choice of soup. I got the ‘kakuni’ it has a salty taste to it which I like when paired with the noodles. My sister got the ‘Niku niku’ this has a flavorful broth. It reminded me a lot of the Vietnamese pho. When I came back with my friends after January I got the ‘mentako cream’ (I think I spelled that wrong) with katsu. I liked the cold noodles, but the noodles weren’t very filling (I could have just been really hungry). The broths were more filling and are still my favorite.“
“Very nice people, service is very good. The food is good. It's the closest that has an authentic taste to Mexican food that's not Texmex. Not that I don't like it, but I prefer the authentic taste. Oh, the tortilla soup is really good!“
“The new AYCE menu is a sweet deal and offers super high beef while costing a fair amount of money. Without the AYCE option, it ends up costing too much to feel full here. I like the location being away from main Chinatown area as it has become too crowded and stressful on Bellaire. Would return to Shabu Squared as I was very pleased with the quality and service!“
“This is honestly one of my top ramen places that I've tried in Houston. I had heard that the ramen here is very authentic, so I had to try it out for myself. I came here on a week night for dinner, and unfortunately, they were a bit understaffed. There appeared to be only one server for all of the tables, so it did take a while for him to take our order. I'm writing this review a few months later from when I tried this restaurant, so I hope that has changed now. He was very friendly though. I tried the tonkotsu gachi ramen. It was VERY delicious and flavorful. It didn't feel overly heavy like some other ramen places that I've tried. I can say that this does taste pretty authentic. I like the location of this place too because I live around here, and it's easy access for people around the medical center to go to. I hope this place stays here for a while! I would absolutely come back.“
“The Peking Duck tasted good but quite pricey. It’s only allowed to order the whole duck from the restaurant, not allowed to order the half duck. The whole roasted duck is for $45 now, and it came with the duck soup. The flour tortillas for wrapping the sliced duck meat and scallion were too thick and the sauce was a bit salty though. The service here was fine. The staff members came to check on us for several times. But I would not say they were friendly, as I did not see the smile on their face all the time when checking on us. They looked so serious.Parking: The parking lot is quite big.“
“Hidden gems at the corner and need to be shout out guys!!I have tried multiple times just to explore everything on their menu lol according to the owner, this is a big franchise in Korea and California and they're very first location in Texas.Their signature is Galbi Jim (spicy braised beef rib) and Bossam (premium boiled pork belly wraps), dumplings, noodles and other hot pots are so good.In the beginning, i thought it's expensive since the price on the menu, so I just stopped by to try cold noodle and the original Yukdaejang noodle but i ended up was surprised by the bowl is biggg and i saw the hotpot of another table is huge! So..yeah i came back with my friends and tried several things again and again lolSmall menu, consistent tastes, big portion, and great service. What else are you looking for right? LolP/s: don't forget to get coffee candies when they give you a check“
“Fun Family Night with Delicious FoodWe had a fantastic family dinner recently. The ambience was inviting and perfect for a relaxed evening with family. The food was absolutely delicious – definitely some of the best we've had in a while. Our kids especially enjoyedAn added bonus was that the restaurant allows you to bring your own beverages, which is great for keeping costs down.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommendto other families.“
“I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place before. We can in for dinner past 8pm and it was still packed! We didn’t have to wait long for a table, just got seated within minutes of walking in. We ordered pho, vermicelli bowl and a banh mi. The broth was very very good, noodles had a slippery texture and meat seemed fresh! Not too crazy about the banh mi but the pho and vermicelli bowl made up for it. Service was awesome, food came out quick. Will definitely recommend this place and come back to try more items on their menu.“
“Authentic delicious Vietnamese food. The menu is only in Vietnamese so we ordered using the food pictures online (Google and Yelp). We got the pork combo, curry seafood udon? (Not spicy), and the congee.Out toddlers liked the udon and congee. Strong Vietnamese coffee as well!Highly recommend and would come back again!“
“I’ve been a regular at Pho Bhin, and their pho combinations never disappoint! However, I do wish they offered dry chili for those who love extra spice like me. On the bright side, their watermelon smoothie is a delightful addition to any meal. Overall, thumbs up for their tasty pho!“
“So happy to have found this place via a recent recommendation who raved about their dumplings & kalguksu (Korean noodles in hot soup). My wife & I ordered the 2 hot soups & dumpling combo (which offers a $4 saving) and my son ordered the galbi (Korean BBQ shortribs). The food was on point in terms of genuine Korean food taste & the portion size was pretty decent at a reasonable price in this day & age. I also enjoyed the kimchi that was served as a side dish so much that we took the leftovers in a to-go box! I would definitely like to return to try the other menu items!“
“Update - Service has improvedThree stars only because the food taste good. Otherwise it will definitely be closer to one for the experience. Used their online order platform to place pickup order at 11:50 am and their confirmation said ready in 20 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant and the food wasn’t ready per the waitress. She said needs another 10 minutes. So no problems there, although it looked like the order was never entered or started. Restaurant wasn’t too packed at that time. 20 minutes later food haven’t finished and the waitress did apologize for the wait. Another 10 minutes and I see food getting packed thinking order is finally ready, but found out all the items getting packaged was for a take out order for a dine in customer. That’s the first issue: if there was such a large togo order, why would you tell a customer 10 more minutes. After another 10 minutes another customer receive their Togo order I approached the waitress and questioned my order, she mentioned 3 more minutes. Second issue is the wait time, 20 minutes online order and another 45 minutes at the store with total wait time of an hour. Once I opened the box another surprise; 1. the order mentions no green onions for one of the items and 2. I was given the wrong item, one of the order was supposed to have ribs. Basically had to wait an hour to get the wrong order.During current times, really want to support local businesses. But businesses has a responsibility to ensure order is correct and order ready time is accurate for the customer.“
“Stopped in for a quick lunch with my husband. The interior was clean and inviting. Our waiter was courteous and friendly. And the food did not disappoint. We had the grilled pork and grilled chicken rice plates. Great flavor and presentation. Definitely a must try if you're in the area !“
“My friend and I stopped for a quick dinner date here at Gringos we were served by Valerie. She was amazing and took care of us very well when it came to questions about the food and drinks. We will come back soon! Again, to shout out again to Valerie ?“
“I come here every week for lunch due to proximity to my office. Not only do I just love their options, but in this particular location, the staff is amazing! They always greet you as you walk in and always have a kind and happy to help attitude. Decimo, the general manager runs such a great establishment & is not only always so friendly and efficient, he is always helping the staff with whatever they need. A great lunch spot, thanks for the great service!“
“The reviews on the kimchi is true, one of the best I’ve had from a Korean restaurant. The atmosphere clean and the service is very kind and attentive. The portions are huuge! I actually accidentally came here because I typed in the wrong directions for a different Korean restaurant but decided to take a risk since I saw that this restaurant was rated highly. Let’s just say I won’t be going to the other restaurant anymore and will be coming here for my Korean cravings from now on!!!“
“Very good place to eat, between my little town restaurant and this one, a thousand times I prefer this one, good service, homemade food, you don't sit in a restaurant if you don't eat at home, and the best thing is very economical, 100% recommended“

“This Korean eatery, let me tell you, has always been our number one choice! Can you even fathom it? It's also the ultimate Korean restaurant chosen by my child! It has become an integral part of our existence. I mean, who would have predicted? The astonishing range of accompanying dishes they offer is incredibly remarkable! And the cherry on top? The cost is extremely budget-friendly! I'm at a loss for words, to be frank.“
“Good pho and probably one the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. They do a lot for the local community and give back a lot. The pho image is one of their events (not the normal size) and it was so good.Everything has been great every time we come.“
“Such a relaxing takeout experience. David was right there to greet me with a smile. His patience to offer suggestions while I decided on which dish to delight myself As I waited for my basil fried rice, i was invited to have a seat at one of their tables and I enjoyed a hot cup of oolong tea, also delicious.I used to regularly take myself out on dates before all this life happened lol...and this was definitely the best 10 minutes I've enjoyed with myself at a restaurant in a long time.Thank you, David!! For setting the lovely tone for my first Thai Lily Cafe experience.5/5“
“We have tried a decent amount of items on the menu and not a single one disappoints. My husband fell in love with bánh bột chiên (fried rice cake) here even though bot chien wasn’t his thing before. He also complimented the bún riêu (crab noodle soup), it’s hard to find a place that actually serve good, authentic bún riêu here. For me, I really enjoyed eating cơm Tấm (grilled pork with broken rice) and hủ tiếu (rice noodle soup with ground pork). However, although most of the food items we had tasted were pretty decent, the Trà đào cam xả I got was good but it was too sweet for my taste. Service was good. I would recommend trying out this place if you have a chance!“
“Was a little hesitant due to never eating there before and being a tourist. But was happily surprised! The service was great, we were able to be seated quickly and food came out quick as well. Workers were very kind. The atmosphere is nice, air conditioned and welcoming, there is a fish tank and seating is great. The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best pho I have ever tasted.Vegetarian options: N/aDietary restrictions: I am pescatarian and was still able to order a pho without meat.Parking: N/aKid-friendliness: There was a fish that could potentially entertain kids, there was also some families in the restaurant. Nothing inappropriate.Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp in the parking lot.“
“Tried it for the first time yesterday. The variety of food was good, except for the sliced meat --- only lamb and beef to choose from, wish they had pork belly as well. Their sesame oil was quite good. There is also a seafood promotion where all the snow crablegs and raw oysters are unlimited at $10 each. But the whole table has to get the same promotion. Some items, such as spare ribs and cow stomach, need to be pre-cooked longer.Soda is by can and not from a dispenser, so no refills. $1.99 per can is outrageous. After we ate it for lunch, my mouth was filled with MSG all afternoon long--- must be quite a lot in the broth.“
“We love the banh chung here a lot after we had tried “Vietnamese shop” and “Crab and shrimp cake” .I think the owner somehow should have the sign ( his son has autism also is serving table. parents anyway ❤️)so customer understand. Whenever we crave for banh chung and fish cakes, this restaurant is the best (their rice paper is special cake)“
“One of, if not THE favorite of mine to eat a salad. Great, open, modern environment with natural sunlight the staff of always friendly and the salads are consistently fresh and delicious! ???Parking: Not unlimited spaces but there's free parking available“
“I kinda happened upon this place, read the reviews and ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls as a snack until could find a sandwich and coffee. The egg rolls were cooked to order and came out piping hot. I loved them. What I loved most was they stored the lettuce in a plastic bag which kept it fresh and not wilted against the hot rolls. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The fish sauce was strong like I like it and tasty. There were plenty of waiters and I was greeted when I walked it. I got take out. The place was not crowded at all and nicely lit from the natural light thru the front windows. I really wanted a frappe with boba but they do not offer boba so I went to Ben Pho down the street to get the frappe. You can read that review on Yelp also. I will definitely go back and try more menu items. There was plenty of parking outside.“
“Modern efficient cafeteria-style servinh line for diners to choose fresh salad ingredients.Helpful and efficient staff in bright and quiet facilities.Parking: Convenient parking spotsWheelchair accessibility: Well planned for accessibility.“
“Stewed duck noodles, goat curry, and goat hot pot are super delicious. Although she is old, she is still very passionate about cooking and serves very enthusiastically and attentively. At a young age, she has taught many chefs so it is worth experiencing for everyone.“
“I order lunch to go from this location at least once a week. It’s always right, hot, tastes great and consistently the same. Hospitality is always excellent in the lobby, offered me a free drink while I waited and I was early for my order. Fantastic Management & Staff crew every afternoon.“
“Reasonably priced and tasty lunch! Efficient service. Would definitely recommend it.It looks like prices very recently increased by 50 cents on all the lunch specials, create your own pasta, and a few other items. Still one of the best lunch deals for a sit down restaurant, just not as good a deal as it used to be!“
“The bun bo hue was excellent. The stone pot it was served in was a nice touch and kept the soup hot. Reminded me of my childhood and mom's homemade bun bo hue. The ham hock could have cooked a little longer to be more tender, but it had a lot of flavor. We also got the sampler to try the different dishes, and that was also great.“
“I saw this restaurant being promoted on Instagram by an influencer and on their video I noticed the chicken wings.I live in Humble so it is quite a drive for me to check this place out. However it was definitely worth the drive and I would come back again.I tried the chicken wings, the ribs, and the fried rice. The chicken wings were fried perfectly and they were slightly spicy but they tasted so good. The ribs were nice and crunchy and also really tasty. The fried rice was also delicious in taste.Everything was a good size portion and the prices were not bad. I had plenty of leftovers to take home. The service was great. The atmosphere could use some updating. They take cash, card, and Apple Pay.I highly recommend and I will come back.“
“Authentic Vietnamese restaurant for seafood or street food (snails, goby fishes…). Wide selection of snails, and small dishes. Fast service. Ok staffs (some were friendly, some not).Recommended dishes: grilled goby fishes, la lot beef, canadian snails, grilled oysters, Vietnamese pancakeDietary restrictions: Limited choices, heavy seasonings. Be careful with allergy.Parking: Lots of parking spaces in front“
“We came in here with our whole family, four of which are picky kids. Found something everyone enjoyed. I believe it was the owner that stopped by our table to ask how everything was and then let my kids talk to her for a long time haha gave them each extra fortune cookies too!! ?I loved the vegetarian General Tso's so much! Very crispy! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for Veg options in the area!“
Video clip: Local guides:“
“I loved the ropa vieja!!! Rice&beans were amazing and yuca was yummy. I ordered a side of sweet plantains, which are my favorite. The empanadas were crunchy and delicious. Now I want to visit in person! Recommend this restaurant. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!“
“Love this place! It's the best Vietnamese food in the area. I'm usually always ordering banh mi, pho, rice plates and egg rolls from here. Don't forget your cafe sua da too! They're always so nice and are very fast w the orders.“
“The food is fantastic, but the service lacks attention to detail. On my first order, they forgot both my drinks and the extra sauce I requested. I ordered 12 wings, cream cheese wontons, a small fry, and a large fried rice, and they gave me two packs of duck sauce, two packs of soy sauce, one and a half ounces of sweet-and-sour sauce and two packs of ketchup. That is unacceptable for $50 worth of food, especially when I explicitly requested extra duck and soy sauce. Please google what a 1 ounce cup of sauce looks like. It’s not even big enough to dip the wonton into, I have to pour it. The first time I thought one of them being full and one of them being half full was an accident, but the second time I realized they are intentionally giving you one and a half ounces of sweet-and-sour sauce which is not nearly enough. After placing a second order, I called to make sure they included the drinks from last time and extra duck and soy sauce. They included the drinks and extra soy sauce but they neglected the extra duck sauce I asked for and didn't include a single pack. Not one. I still had 6 wings left that I was counting on that duck sauce to eat. I even left a note in the order in addition to the call, and they still missed it. Despite enjoying the fried rice and chicken wings, the overall experience is marred by these details. The wonton soup disappointed me as it was served with dry chow mein noodles instead of fried wontons, making it a one-time order. That part was honestly just insulting. Moreover, the $5.49 small to-go box of fries is overpriced and not fully filled. The fries are regular, unseasoned crinkle cut fries that they only fill up 80% of the way in a small to go box yet they cost $5.50 on Uber eats, which is enough to get a whole bag of crinkle cut fries from the grocery store. They should be three dollars max. I can’t imagine these are being ordered much for that reason, because I personally would’ve ordered two had they been reasonably priced. While I like the place, improvements in service are necessary. I do plan on giving them one more chance because this is definitely some of the better Chinese food in Houston but they need to get it together quickly and stop being so stingy with the sauce. The one and a half miniature cups of sweet-and-sour sauce with the cream cheese wontons is just cheap. As previously stated, the wonton won’t even fit in the cup smh. I’m not cheap and I don’t mind paying for good food but it needs to feel like I’m getting what I’m paying for and the attention to detail is lacking. But with all of that being said, this is the best fried rice I’ve had in Houston, and I will definitely be returning. I’ve had the shrimp and house fried rice and both are 10/10. The cream cheese wontons were very tasty outside of the sauce situation 8/10 with sauce. The fries were your regularly expected crinkle cut fries but I would order them again if they made the price more reasonable. The chicken wings were good, 7.5/10. They are the red fried chicken wings not the traditional carryout style wings, but still good. Better the second day than the first day for sure. They should let the temperature on the wings come up closer to room temp a bit more before they fry them so it’s not so tense the first day. I also wish they offered shrimp eggrolls (thick egg rolls, not thin spring rolls), not just pork, but that’s just a menu suggestion. Hopefully they can make some improvements.“
“Ever since my girlfriend took me here...I love this place...Only catch, you got to know vietnamese...Every time we go together, it's nothing but vietnamese...when I go by myself... Oh...My...Budda....All I can do is think like a 3rd grader...I pointed at pictures and say " Come on!..Come on! "...I will never go alone again...Food is amazing!!!“
“Giving it 5 stars because this was the best experience I’ve had at an Olive Garden! I am not a fan of Olive Garden, so for me to rave is a big deal… I’m only comparing this to other Olive Gardens not against high end or small business restaurants. The food was good! I enjoyed the soups and the chicken parmigiana. Our waiter was nice and attentive. He made suggestions and answered all our questions. The place was clean also. I would recommend people to go to this one if you are a fan of Olive Garden.“
“This is one of those places where the staff knows you and what your "usual" is. They have a huge menu with wide variety and it rarely disappoints. Highlights are their Won Ton Noodle soup, Walnut Shrimp and Fish Sauce Spare Ribs. You can't go wrong here and you'll find yourself coming back regularly.“
“Was it nearly $30 for two small salads? Yes. But if you're going to Salata, you probably know what you're getting into. The veggies were fresh, the food was delicious and the staff filled the ever living heck out of our boxes. We will be back!“
“They offer an extensive array of options. You can select a wrap, small salad, or large salad. There's numerous toppings from eggs to artichokes (the latter cost extra), olives, carrots, broccoli etc. However, the protein options are pricey, costing an extra $4 to $5. The food is delicious and fresh.“
“Salata on Fannin Street in Houston stands out not only for its fresh, customizable salads but notably for its outstanding staff, whose warmth and professionalism turn every visit into a memorable experience. As you step into this haven of health, the vibrant ambiance is matched by the team’s genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the diverse menu, guiding patrons through a plethora of crisp vegetables, premium proteins, and distinctive toppings with ease. Their recommendations are always spot-on, enhancing the dining experience by ensuring each meal is tailored to perfection. This exceptional service, combined with the commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients, truly sets Salata apart as a gem in Houston’s dining scene, where both the body and soul are nourished.Vegetarian options: Wide array of fruits and vegetables served by friendly staff“
“This restaurant is a classic go to for a big group who are unsure what to have. The highlights for food are mostly family dishes, but they have individual plates and sandwiches as well! The banh mi was very good, and they have good tasting classic family Vietnamese dishes. Despite the name, I would avoid the pho, as there are other spots that have a much more deep broth. Other than that, most everything has a classic home taste. Nothing too exciting or innovative, but classic dishes nonetheless!“
“Oh that pata was so delicious. This dish was recommended to us by the shop owner. No disappointment here. Crispy exterior and moist and juicy on the inside. Don't let me get started on that dipping sauce. That sauce just highlighted that scrumptious pork knuckle. It was so good we went back and ordered again. New owner and better food.“
