We love lubys. Sadly, corporate greed is going to destroy this wonderful place. Apparently, the landlord sold lubys out to Chick fil A. So once again the almighty dollar ruins a good thing for our neighborhood.
Love me some old school Lubys. Been coming to this location for years!! Me and girlfriend meet up here once in a while. Food is always great and service too!!I am sad to report this location will be closing April 16th, 2024. The lease increase was too much and Chick-fil-A will be taking this spot in the near future. Sad to see Lucy's close up will need to visit the Marsh Lane location.
This is my daughter's favorite restaurant! She lives for Luby's visits with her Grandma and devours the fried fish. We are so sad to see it closing.
Luby's, a beloved neighborhood cafeteria, faces closure due to corporate decisions. Regulars are saddened as Chick-fil-A takes over, ending an era of consistent quality, hefty portions, and reasonable prices. Despite the impending closure, memories of meeting up for great food and service at this old-school location will be cherished. A neighborhood favorite, Luby's has been a reliable go-to for family-sized meals and will be dearly missed in Plano.
