Maybe the issue is I just got back from Japan and the fact I was born there but this place was a disappointment. The first was a process issue. They wait to get the whole order complete before they call your number. So my wife's tendon which has fried tempura came out first. Matsui reminds me so much of being in Japan - the products and atmosphere do an amazing job of creating the look and feel of a Japanese mall. Matsui has my favorite classic pork katsu with curry in the DFW area. They are remarkably consistent with their food quality, taste, and portions.
