“We absolutely love this place and will only dine here for sushi! The quality is amazing, and the service is excellent! Lisa and her husband (the owners) are so kind!Kid-friendliness: We have been going here since our daughter was born, she is now 2 and knows Lisa so well!“
“I love their cream udon! The hot creamy taste and little pinch of spiciness went so well. The tenderness of udon was perfect! I also had potato croquettes. They are crispy and fillings are soft. Sushi is fresh and tasty. The best was their hand-rolls. It’s a little pricy per one roll but it’s a combination of the five tastes. Staff were attentive and friendly.“
“Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday and the food and service did not disappoint. We ordered tempura udon, a spicy pork bento box, a roll over roll, and a tempura roll. The portions were huge and the food tasted great! Definitely worth the price (especially lunch specials). Our server even stopped by and gave us two items on the house. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good Japanese food in Plano.“
“I love this sushi place! Today was my first time going and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!! I can’t stop telling all of my friends and family about it. The people are so friendly and welcoming! The sushi was so good! This place deserves more than 5 stars!!“
“I grew up around the ocean and fishing businesses. Seafood quality is very important and it is easy to spot dated food. Living around DFW it is not often I am able to find a place where the fish is fresh. Being very hungry I decided to give this place a try and was mind blown that a place this far from the coast would carry high quality fish. Each piece melts in my mouth with zero odor. It is extremely fresh. The staff was extremely attentiveness and the experience is on point. I would not hesitate to call this location one of the few in DFW where the sushi is perfect. I have traveled around the world and this place makes me feel at home.“
“Nestled within a bustling plaza adorned with various dining establishments, this venue, while modest in decor and lacking the traditional Japanese restaurant allure, truly stands out for its exceptional service and delectable sushi and appetizers. Kudos to the dedicated owners and staff for crafting such delightful culinary offerings. During our visit, we savored a variety of rolls and appetizers, each impressing with their freshness and impeccable balance between rice and fillings. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning for another culinary experience.Vegetarian options: Lots of option on menu for vegetarians and veganDietary restrictions: They are able to make adjustments to menuParking: Lots of parking in plazaKid-friendliness: Kid options availableWheelchair accessibility: Parking handicap right in front, wide entrances“
“This place is amazing. Located inside a food court in Plano. The dragon roll was some of the best unagi (eel) sushi I’ve ever had. Only went one time but would definitely return! The sushi is not expensive at all here!Found this spot on Yelp’s 2022 List of Top 100 Places to Eat at in Texas. It was #10!“
“This hidden gem in the southern east most part of Plano is the absolute spot for sushi/sashimi. Very simplistic menu, mom and pop, not too expensive. Sure you can find the menu option for you and your family/friends. Want to try everything on menu truly. Staff is awesome. Will be back.“
“After hearing about a new revolving sushi place in the area, I had to try it out. I decided to swing by during the weekend for lunch and was left pretty satisfied. Since it was our first time here, our server explained to us exactly how the food service worked. He walked us through the menu as well as explained to us that we could specifically request fish. Each plate came with 2 pieces of nigiri and the fish tasted amazing. Everything was very fresh and it hit the spot. I left after eating around 15 plates and pretty full afterward.“
“Saw this spot on my way home, and decided to drop by. I was delighted!!! From the cute and cozy atmosphere to the friendly staff, the experience was amazing! And the rolls, the salmon and boyfriend roll, was delicious-! Some places put to much rice in their rolls but this place has the perfect amount ? I would definitely come back and recommend this place for all sushi lovers!“
“My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner, and though it does seem they are understaffed, they seem to do everything they can to assist everyone. The woman who was assisting us was very sweet and doing her best to ensure everyone was attended to, even though it was getting busy. Our food came out pretty quickly once our orders were taken, and everything was delicious! I ordered the chicken katsu teishoku, and my boyfriend ordered the katsu ni curry with cheese. Both of us had our katsu fried to perfection, and the rice was delicious as well! We also shared an order of the veggie tempura, which was amazing. The pumpkin tempura was so delicious and fried perfectly. They also serve melon soda floats, which are so delicious and not very common around here. We will definitely come back; but maybe during lunch time to see if it will be less busy.“
“We dined at Simon’s last night and I came here looking for the review from Pagan. In my opinion, and others who were there, it’s inaccurate and misleading. The team at Simon’s does everything they can do to make your experience enjoyable. When you’ve been camping at a table for well over an hour without ordering and people are literally outside waiting, a simple request to give up your table as a courtesy to others shouldn’t cause hysteria. No need to come to the front and throw a tantrum or to call to complain again from your car as soon as you finally departed. I’m sure you won’t be back and I’m sure Simon’s will continue to be awesome. Christina is an amazing waitress who works her tail off every night.“
“Great food and really great prices for lunch. Great lunch specials. My partner and I each got the “2 roll showdown special”…..$10.95 each. Shown here is Spicy Tuna (it was good but the tuna was minced and not in pieces), Salmon Avocado (this was delicious and yes there were Salmon pieces), Spicy Crunchy Eel (sooo good with great eel sauce), Shrimp Tempura (very good). This special comes with edamame, miso soup and gyoza. These were all very good. Service is spotty but great most of the time.“
“When I first entered this establishment the atmosphere was so beautiful and relaxing. From the table set up to the setting cushions. The wait on the food was reasonable and so very worth it. There were so many options here that you would never find at the local grocery store. Although the food was more on the pricey side the quality, service, and options makes up for it.I rate this restaurant 5/5 stars and am looking forward to returning to try more of the food options.“
“Fantastic sushi! Fish was fresh and rolls were flavorful. Good selection of rolls as well. Ramen was good, and we appreciated the small version so that we could still enjoy other items on the menu. Didn't care for the miso soup but the edamame was good . Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!“
“This a great place to go for sushi if you're still new to trying it and want to try different variations. The quality is good compared to other sushi restaurants, but is fairly priced for how many different sushi pieces you get to eat. They also have soups, small hot bites like fried takoyaki, and desserts. They just recently had a small remodel of the front of the store that has made it more waiting friendly at peak hours. If you plan to revisit, I recommend downloading their rewards app. I've received a lot of discounts since they revamped it in Oct. 2023.Parking: There's plenty of parking outside of high peak hours.Wheelchair accessibility: There are wheelchair accessible parking spots.“
“Great selection of items for all needs. I am happy we found this place. They have a number of prepared foods to choose from as well as a handful of restaurants that serve hot food made to order. This location has the one card gaming center as well as a gift shop section. I will come back to try more options next time.“
“The price of the sushi here was on the cheaper side compared to other sushi restaurants. The quality of the sushi though... I personally think it can get better. Even the presentation of the sushi was quiet lacking. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was pretty satisfactory. Since the location is in the heart of downtown Plano, I think it's a good spot for a nice dinner.“
“We have been coming here for over a year. Leon, the bartender/server is like family to us. We try and come as often as we can, but we always make it a point to see him. He is so kind, respectful, and genuinely cares. As do we. The others here are wonderful too, but for us, he really made the place special for us. We always look forward to our Saturday night sushi rendezvous.Of course, the sushi is wonderful too. We tend to stick with the volcano roll, jalapeno roll, samurai roll, and the happy hour delights! I always forget to write this review, so, while we are here tonight, I made it a point to say good things about it. Love it here! Many thanks to Leon, the staff, and the fresh eats!“
“This is one of my favorite sushi spots in town. I've been going here for years! I appreciate that after all these years, the establishment has not changed the prices much. The portion sizes and quality of the sushi has remained very consistent.Their food is always fresh, deliciously prepared, and generous for what you pay for. The service is always top notch and place is kept very clean as well. They have great lunch deals!I love this place and will always continue to support Densetsu.“
“Food was good. Had a good fast service and the waitress was polite and caring. On other hand the tables are so close to each other. We had an elderly couple seated next us and it was little uncomfortable for both of us. Besides that all good, a good place to try for a change“
“My family's go-to sushi restaurant. We love coming here at least once a week. Great staff and food. The sushi chef knows my order the moment I walk through the door and they always have my daughters ramune drink ready for her as soon as she sits down. Thank you Tomoya! See you again next week!“
“When I ate there the staff was very inviting and friendly. Food was good and had lots of flavor for a very low price. Restaurant was clean and comfortable to eat at. I have no complaints about this restaurant at all and I will be back again.“
“I got the build your own salmon and tuna pokè bowl with a seaweed salad, avocado, mango, masago, and edamame. Definitely my favorite poke place that hit the sushi craving on a budget. The location is nice. Well kept and clean. The employees are friendly and nice. The food is delicious and served quickly and presented pretty. We’ll be back again soon.“
“The sushi from here was so fresh and delicious. I got the hurricane shrimp roll and the Philly roll both were rolled perfectly and the presentation was amazing! The cashier seemed annoyed that I interrupted her conversation with another coworker and I thanked her many times throughout the transaction and she never acknowledged me but I would definitely come back to try more rolls.“
“The food was fresh and REALLY good, not like other AYCE places that try to chimp on ingredients. The variety to choose from was vast. My favorite was the sushi and the fresh crb legs. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Can't wait for my next visit!“
“Great choices and great service. The quality is really good.Update: RA IS BACK!!!!! It’s been a while as we felt there was a big fall-off in service and food quality over the past years. We just had a great lunch here and I’m glad we came back. Diego the bartender was fantastic and great food service. Nina the manager is on top of her game at this location. We’re really glad the quality is back!“
“I’m not big eater, but was able to finish all their sushi roll as its fish was very fresh and the dressing on the sushi was very delicious. Couldn’t help but order their Mongolian beef, was tasty with a little spicy and very tender! i ate another half of the plate. This is a great restaurant where you can enjoy both Japanese and Chinese cuisine at the same time. Will continue to try their other dishes next time.“
“This is the only place I'll go get sushi from the Crab Meat Dynamite is the best thing here ! Food is delicious, and there is a guy that performs live music definitely a great atmosphere. I wish I had pics of the food but by the time I think about taking a picture my plate is completely “
“Went for the first time last weekend and it was a great experience. Plenty of rolls to select from, the miso soup was good and the staff that attended us had a great personality and sense of humor. The rolls themselves were very unique and flavorful and I will be returning again. The price is one you can't beat, it's wonderful when an establishment can delivery great food at a great value and this restaurant executes that!“
“A great place for family or friend gathering! Every dish was so flavorful and tasty. You pretty much can just order off my photos. These are authentic Taiwanese cuisine that you won’t find in any other restaurant in DFW area. Definitely worth of 50 minutes drive to dine here.“
“Kona Grill is one of the best neighborhood bars you will ever experience by far. They truly cater to the needs of their customer base. Today, I had shrimp tacos with a mimosa. Chase was the bartender and was engaging and prompt. Thank you so much! ?“
“We came for a birthday and Sean absolutely blew us out of the water with his recommendations. It was a full omekase experience, we gave Sean our preferences and he delivered an unforgettable meal with amazing service, great drink pairings, and even a birthday surprise. We so appreciate the dedicated servipce and recommend Sean to take your likes and dislikes and create a stellar dining experience!“
