“Best freaking nachos I’ve had in a while. Nicely kept restaurant just outside of Rio Hondo. Lots of food and good prices. Only drawback is they need more parking as they’re going to need it.”

“Nice indoor restaurant. The food was ok, rice with langostoiunes was average (no pieces of shrimp in the risotto, just the taste of shrimp), taco with ox tail and guacamole was good).”

“They have the cheapest prices for Barbacoa Especial $14 a pound Friday through Sunday. If you live in Rio Hondo or close by, they will deliver as long as you purchase at least $40 worth of merchandise. They sell sweet bread and also sell a few groceries. Their homemade flour and corn tortillas taste great.”

“I ate at this particular location three times in a week, two of those visits were twice in a day, while in Rio Hondo visiting my father. I felt inclined to write a review, after reading the one review they have. My only complaint would be, there wasn't enough dressing on my salad, on my first visit. Our sandwiches were good. My father had the cold cut, my husband had Turkey. The second visit, I had a wrap. And later that evening I got my husband the turkey sub again and myself a side of meatballs. The staff was very polite and were wearing gloves while preparing food. I'm sure I will be there again soon”

“It was my first time there and I wasn't sure on what to expect. It was actually pretty nice. There are two pool tables and some video games that reminded me of the 1980s. They also have a fairly large amount of ice-cream options. There is a menu written on a chalkboard on a wall. There are several food options also. It is a great place for a small birthday party for children.Kid-friendliness: There were several children there and they were all running around having a lot of fun.”

“Went to eat dinner and we ordered the fish tacos and they were delicious. Plus my better half loves the desserts they have which change every time we go. Another thing I like to eat there is the fajita torta, it's one of my favorites. Atmosphere is good with Mexican music and large TV's on the wall. The waitresses also are very attentive constantly coming around asking if you need anything.?Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible and handicap.”

“My husband and I stop by about once a week together, and he also meets people there for meetings. We love it! The coffee is always great! My favorite is the iced mexican vanilla latte. My hubby gets a hot chai with oat milk.In case you're lactose intolerant, the cow milk is lactose free automatically, which is super awesome, no upcharge.The atmosphere is laid back and kinda hippie like inside, it's very clean and bright enough to work but dark enough it's comfortable.The staff is always friendly too!”

“I found this bar by doing a search for a fruit bowl on Google maps. My husband likes these and we just moved to the area. Usually I go to Smoothie King, but the pictures for MOFI looked pretty cool...so when I got there and the mixologist was so great and helpful with answering my questions and making me feel welcome!! ☺️ I will be going back to purchase other wholesome/organic items that they sell!!”

“A friend told us about this bakery. It is by far the BEST pan dulce I have ever had…and I’m 60 years old. I was in Olmitos for a visit and for our 3 hour drive home we picked up a few bags. It’s been 5 days now and I put the Pan dulce in my Tupperware container and it’s still soft. They had pan dulce we hadn’t heard of before. The lady behind the counter was very nice, she told us about each of our choices and the different fillings.You gotta stop by and pick some up ❣️??”

“This place makes you feel like you are in Mexico with the decor. Our wait person also didn't understand English, which added to the ambiance for us. The food was excellent, too. This was the first place where the salsa was too spicy for us, too.”

“All the sweet bread tasted fresh. Lots of variety to choose from. I like that the bread is behind the counter and the staff bags it for you instead of having the customer handle the bread.Parking: On street parking fills up quickly in front of the bakery and across the street but people are buying bread to go.”

“Stopped to eat here on our way back home, very authentic Mexican flavor. Definitely recommend the tostada bowl for breakfast, the migas & American breakfast. Just with that I can imagine all else is great! Will recommend & stop by again. So good I forgot to take pics of the food lol. Enjoy!”

“This is some good food. Is it the best in the RGV? Nah, but it’s definitely worth the time and the money. I would not hesitate to eat there again when in town.Everything had really good flavor. It was all a little too greasy but it wasn’t so greasy that I couldn’t eat it.The chips and salsa were excellent.My associate says the food truck is better than this sit-down restaurant. IDK but it’s still good stuff.”
