“First time at this restaurant. The chicken fajita plate was really good, served with rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream. The chicken fajita meat was sliced in a piping hot skillet with bell peppers. The restaurant DOES NOT have a sign on the building. We passed it, made the block and glad we stopped.”

This was our 98th BBQ stop in Texas, and the 397th on a 35 state BBQ odyssey. $25.71 purchased a quarter pound of fatty brisket, a jalapeno cheddar sausage link, sides of elote (cold) and jalapeno apple coleslaw, with two refillable iced teas. Everything was top notch. The well-smoked brisket featured the classic central Texas rub, and was so buttery that you could cut it with a fork. The sausage was beautifully balanced, and both sides paired well with the meats; indeed, we judged the coleslaw a “must do” side. In sum, this is what we style “destination 'cue.” Just be sure to check their facebook page to guarantee that they will be opening as scheduled (they also cater).Parking: Gravel approach from the highway to a gravel parking lot.”

“We had a wait time that was quoted at 15 minutes, but the front room was very welcoming of waiting, so I didn't even notice the 15 minutes me and my friend and I were super comfortable chatting up front! The menu had so many different options, but I settled on the Benedict qith queso and jalopeno bacon on waffles! It was absolutely phenomenal ! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and their food was phenomenal!”

“Went here for the first time to dance to a band I like, that I have only heard once before. A local dance partner went with me, and we met up with other friends. Friendly staff, and patrons as well. It was a great night of dancing to a good band, and at a place with over 100 years history. Ahh, if only the walls could talk! And yes, I survived the staircase!”

My next visit I plan on trying one of their soups. The restaurant shares space with a little smoothie/boba place which was also good. Service each time I've been has been fast and good. Temple doesn't have a huge selection of restaurants and this one is in my top 10 for Temple.”

“Best pho I've had in a long time. I got the beef and brisket pho. The broth was extremely well-seasoned and balanced. It was like a salty-sweet combination but I truly have no words to describe its full deliciousness. Beef and brisket were tender and juicy. Noodles cooked just right and really soaked up the flavor of the broth. It was like an orgamsm in my mouth.No external seasoning was necessary, not even the lime slice that most places give (or the soy sauce and Sriracha). Definitely ordering from here again.The people were not rude. I think many confuse rudeness with just being direct and straight to the point. You do need to have a bit of patience though as it takes some time for the food to be prepared”
