“Fried green tomatoes and fried catfish were fantastic! Crispy coated, golden fried deliciousness with just the right amount of seasoning. Their BBQ is also amazing. Pulled pork, yum! We usually take home leftovers from a restaurant, but at this place we HAD NO leftovers. I ordered an extra order of brisket to take home. Sammy Lou's is worth a special trip, just for the tomatoes alone. Seriously, if you live within 50 miles, it's worth the drive.“
“OH MY GOODNESS, YOU CAN’T SLEEP ON THIS LOCATION!! I have never been so impressed with absolutely everything! The service was amazing, the restaurant was clean, the food…OMG out of this world! The potatoes with meat were so packed full that I couldn’t even finished a quarter of it! I live over an hour away but will definitely be back and soon!!“
“Amazing service and awesome food! Real food no filler! Walked in and was given a sample of sausage and it was fantastic! Guys here are very kind and informational on their meat! 110% recommend! Plus they gave my buddy a free ice cream since he ate before we came! Sweet!“
“Cozy atmosphere and excellent food. The restaurant interior is a bit rough with cardboard boxes piled around, but this did not bother us. Also it gets quite smoky inside at least on the popular Saturday evening. The short ribs (la galbi) was excellent and is absolutely worth the small extra fee for the upgraded eat-all-you-can menu. Also the seafood tofu soup was really tasty.“
“This is a must try when you're in Dallas. I received my food 4 minutes after ordering. The staff is extremely friendly and the vibe is upbeat and friendly. The brisket is moist and flavorful. The ribs have no chance of staying on the bone. The macaroni and cheese is absolutely amazing. The only not super positive thing I can say about this place is about the sausage. It tastes great but doesn't stand out against sausage from other bbq places. Again, the sausage is good, it just doesn't exceed expectations like everything else here does. Try everything when you visit and support this local business.“
“Parking is a little odd in this area-- old carwash with a roundabout kind of space. The food is excellent. Plenty of meat is provided with the baked potato(see picture). We tried the sausage and some chicken. You can't go wrong with either. The macaroni and cheese is to die for - creamy and delicious, definitely homemade tasting. Don't forget to try the sauce! It has a slight kick but really enhances the meat. Potato salad is good, too. It doesn't taste mustard-based, but it is yellowish with a vinegar or pickle flavor. We also tried the stuffed jalapeño. Great flavor with the brisket on it. What can make it even better is if the bacon was crispy and maybe some cream cheese thrown in.“
“The food is always spectacular here. And it's amazing how something as ordinary as green beans can be made into something so spectacular. Ribs are top notch, and great chili as well. There's a reason it's tough to find a parking spot at lunch time on the weekend.“
“Meshack's is a throwback to delicious, smoked, and moist BBQ. The family owned and operated business makes you feel like part of their family. Mr. Travis and the family have served over 500 meals to my employees and we have enjoyed every lip-smacking bite. My favorite is their ribs....but it's ALL GREAT.“
“Absolutely FANTASTIC BBQ!! So glad we listened to the Google reviews. Any place that’s been doing BBQ since 1959 has got to be good, and it was. Absolutely flavourful brisket, ham and ribs AND the mac’n cheese and potato side, can’t remember what it’s called but it’s creamy and garlicky..OMG!! Amazing! Thank you for a fantastic meal and your staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this establishment ?“

“The steak was amazing. I have tried both the A9 Wagyu and the regular steak, both are excellent. The ribs were also very juicy, and Are seasoned well. The brisket is extremely tender and holds up on its own weight, but tears as soon as you bite into it. The halal certification makes it the best choice to go to as well. The only things I didn’t like was the cheesesteak wasn’t what I was expecting. It is still a great sandwich(7.5/10), but not quite what I’d expect from a cheesesteak. The brisket burger and the other burgers are phenomenal.Dietary restrictions: HMS Halal Certified (Hand Slaughtered Halal)“
“We hosted a special event dinner at the location in the private room and I have no complaints. It was my first time at the location and the food was amazing. The brisket was fall apart tender and the Mac n cheese was ???. The lil bread n butter pickles had a lil bite to them and were super tasty as well. Look forward to returning.“
“Still the goat! Woo! Best Hawaiian bbq in town or around! The sauce would have Gucci man proud, the meat is more tender than my heart, and the Uber eats deals are a Ramadan blessing.Sir, I wish you and your family the best. Keep feeding DFW with love “
“Kid approved! Go for Tuesday lunch; around 11am will beat the crowd and get you a seat. Tuesday's special is street tacos and street corn. We had to go through the line twice since our 2 year old ate an adult size portion. Delicious. We ordered 2 street tacos, 2 packs of mac n cheese, street corn dressed, deviled eggs, banana pudding, and a half pound of brisket for lunches later in the week. Ty!“
“Super chill space that is kid and pet friendly. The food was tasty and service was great. My son loved the patio and meeting local pups at lunch. I got a grilled chicken salad and my husband got a brisket potato. We had the BBQ deviled eggs.“
“So im driving down the street an the radio station mentioned this as a black local business my fav so I pull up almost couldn't find the place because it's inside a gas station but baby when I tell you the meat was tender and the sauce was on point with the potatoes salad swear I sat in the parking lot for tens minutes trying to stop eating great place hats off to the person that smoked that meat it definitely tasted like my grandma's kitchen definitely a great eat I'll be back“
“Have you ever eaten Indian food and wished it had meat in it? Well, then Pakistani food is for you. This is one of my favorite South Asian restaurants in all of DFW. I've eaten here over 15 times now, just working my way down the menu and never been disappointed. In fact, my love affair keeps deepening with every trip. My favorites so far are chapli kebab, sesame naan, beef nahari, Keema Naan,...the list keeps getting longer. Do yourself a favor and try something new and I promise, you'll keep coming back.“
“Attentive server, she brought another cup of strawberry lemonade when the 1st one was at the middle. Food is delicious but a bit of salted. My coworker ordered ribeye, medium well, and it was delicious when she shared me for one bite. I would definitely be back for ribeye. I would say the restaurant is quite empty during lunch time on Thursday.“
“Man I’ve been going here for like 2 years now and I still love this place hands down the best ribs here it’s the only thing I get from here now literally falls off the bone and very juicy and tender and the sauce is so immaculate 10/10Vegetarian options: If your a vegetarian i would recommend you to try the baked beans, smoked cabbage, baked potato, salad, and green beans although I haven’t tried it.“
“I went on a Saturday to watch football with family and friends. THEY HAVE A FOOD TRUCK CALLED “Rooster Roo” IT IS AMAZING. Hot chicken that is cooked to order. The area was family and kid friendly. Will definitely be back for the vibe and ROOSTER “
“Best BBQ hands down. I have never had anything like it excellent flavor, meat is tender and you can actually taste the smoke in the meat.. I will definitely recommend this guy to anyone give him a call if you are looking for some excellent food. Thanks Kirby for the great service“
“Who doesn't love Texas Roadhouse? This was our last meal in Texas before we left, and it was a great experience. There's fresh bread rolls that come with the signature cinnamon butter, and you can choose your cut of steak if you choose to. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our food came out fast. Texas Roadhouse has various options for meals, including delicious appetizers like the rattlesnake bites. I ordered the sirloin steak, house salad, and loaded baked potato. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. Thanks for a great time, we will visit again soon!Kid-friendliness: Coloring activities with crayons“
“Y’all!! I Walked in super hungry, half expecting dickies to be not that good as per my experience in other locations. But let me tell you this dickies BBQ Is not the same! The food was GREAT!. The meat was soft and tender , The place is clean and the staff went above and beyond.I would definitely recommend this place as your go to barbecue place. Make sure to get the westerner combo !“
“Went to Slabs to kill some time and try out a place I'd never been before. Saw reviews and got curious! The service is the best around, probably one of the best customer service experiences I've had ever. As said before, went to kill time so that I could wait out a bit of my commute. However, didn't know there was nowhere to dine inside! Being 100+ degrees outside, I did not want to have to wait out my commute in my car. Asked the guys working if they knew of any parks or seating where I could eat, and they offered me a chair! Honestly good vibes while I was sitting and eating. One of the guys working offered me water with my food (got a half rack of ribs, delicious! Soaked in a bunch of delicious BBQ sauce! Very tender, flavorful), and when I showed him that I'd brought my own water bottle offered to put some ice in it. Very, very thoughtful. Hands down, amazing food, chill atmosphere, and EXCELLENT customer service. I will be coming again even though it's a bit out of my normal way. Thank you Slabs BBQ for a great experience and dinner!!“
“Was looking for good BBQ while in town. Pleased with this place. Delicious food for everyone at the table, even the kids!! Sausage had great spice, pulled pork was the right combination of tender with some burnt end bits. Would definitely return on a future trip!!“
“Today, my husband and I wanted to have barbecue. It is a Tuesday. For some reason, two of the bbq joints in and around Rockwall are not open. So, that all worked out to our advantage. We searched in Rowlett and happened upon Lico’s Barbecue. What a delicious, delightful find!!! If you want fork-tender prime brisket, wonderful sides, tasty rolls, friendly and polite staff, go to Lico’s. Wish we could give more stars for the food, it is that YUMMY!!!!!“
