“I don’t come here often, but every experience with San Poke has always been a great one! The staff are very friendly and despite not being there often, some of them still remember me! There’s a good feeling that comes out of being recognized. The food is always great, everything tastes fresh and for someone that frequents the raw fish, I’ve never had a bad experience with the food. The boba is just as delicious, though I think it’s time to get an extra large size cup!! ?“

“You know I haven't been to an L&L in so long. It was always the place to get food to fill you up good local favorites. I have to say after not having L&L in so long it was such a treat to eat here again specially this location. The service was full of aloha and Kat was such a great part of our experience. I had the chicken katsu, musubi, and bbq chicken, everything was grindz! So good. I also loved the vibe and the decor inside made me feel like I was back home, local music playing and the delicious smells in the air. Also they have little get togethers in the back where they play music and eat and drink so cool. I definitely recommend trying this place if you're missing those bomb plate lunches.“

“I was looking up this restaurants hours and reviews, and saw a review about its food truck that was at the Festival in Rolling Oaks Mall.I was also at that Event, and I completely disagree.Of all the food there, this was my favorite. My family and I ate there on both days of the Lunar New Year Festival. Not 1 of the 5 of us got sick. Nor did any of our friends, who also attended the event, and ate at this food truck. We were at that festival from the opening ceremonies to the close on the first day, and left around 3pm the second day because superbowl. All of the people we saw ordering before us looked fine too. Turns out that the stylish kids ahead of us were k-pop performers we saw dancing inside the mall at one of the stages around an hour later.Anyway, the staff was very welcoming, kind, and informative. Because of my husband's food allergies and my dietary restrictions, we asked them alot of questions about their food and ingredients, and asked for recommendations. They kindly told us everything. All of their food came with a scoop of rice. It was just the right amount of food, and the box it came in made it easy to walk around with since there were no tables to sit and eat at during the festival.Everthing tasted fresh and was delicious. The poke was a bit spicy, but the flavor was bold and unique compared to other poke I've had. I also bought their juices which complemented the food perfectly. They even gave my kids extra cookies for "good luck" while we waited. We ate at all of the amazing food trucks there. Literally ate every single thing (we're foodies). Every food truck there had similar prices. It's about the same price range, if not cheaper, than what I see at Fiesta events. We came to this festival specifically for speciality exotic foods, and we got it cheaper than we expected. They did tell me they have a restaurant (a scratch kitchen), and other food on their normal menu. If their festival menu is that delicious, I can only imagine their full plates. I personally can't wait to go there.I do recommend giving this truck a try if you see them at an event. But if you perhaps have food allergies, or a sensitive stomach, just ask what's in the food. These people were very open and honest. They had no problem answering all of our questions, and showed genuine concern and care in selecting what was best for whom. They even gave us samples before we even made the solid decision to eat there. They made it very easy for us compared to most other places who make it uncomfortable.I am very thankful for that experience. I am grateful for delicious authentic hawaiian food. I can honestly say not one of my family and friends at that event got sick after eating their food multiple times on both days.If "everyone " who ate there got sick, I'm sure they would have gotten shut down or kicked out by the mall. Just saying.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free FriendlyKeto FriendlyNut & Fruit Allergy FriendlyKid-friendliness: They let our kids sample the entrees with us, treated them with patience and kindness, made them laugh with chicken and fish jokes, and made them extra happy with extra cookies. It was nice to be able to give my kids juice instead of soda, and it was even nicer that they loved it.“

“Love to come during lunch and sit at the bar. Watching the sushi chef is a performance to be seen. He is fast, clean, and has finesse. Waitress was attentive and place is clean and quiet during lunch. Can get quite cold but not a huge deal. Ordered the Leon Springs Roll, Rainforest roll, and soft shell crab appetizer. Leon Springs Roll had perfect spice level and freshness of yellowtail. Rainforest Roll was delicious and refreshing. Soft shell crab has a beautifully sweet & crunchy texture.Special rolls are $20 average but super tasty. Worth it to me.“

“The food tasted pretty fresh and the boba tea was perfectly sweet (mild sweetness compared to most places without having to adjust the sweetness level), and didn’t have too much ice. I got a tofu poke bowl and it was super flavorful, some restaurants have super bland tofu dishes ? was pleasantly surprised overall“

“Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at L&L Hawaiian BBQ, located conveniently near Lackland. As aficionados of Hawaiian cuisine, particularly my son, our expectations were high, and I'm delighted to say they were not just met but exceeded. We opted for the chicken combo meal and the barbecue chicken meal, complemented by a side of lumpia. Each dish was a testament to the authentic flavors of Hawaii. The lumpia was crispy and flavorful, serving as a perfect appetizer to the main courses. The barbecue chicken, with its savory and slightly sweet glaze, was very good, offering a taste of the islands that was both comforting and exotic. However, the star of the meal for me was, without a doubt, the Mac salad. Achieving the perfect balance in a Mac salad is no small feat, yet L&L Hawaiian BBQ did it with apparent ease. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and utterly delightful, making it my favorite part of the meal. The ambiance of L&L Hawaiian BBQ added to our dining experience, offering a slice of Hawaii right here by Lackland. The warmth and hospitality of the staff further enriched our visit, making us feel welcomed and valued.“
