“Really tasty vegan food. Kids had the soy free pancake stack and we enjoyed the carne asada fries and cauliflower wings. Really delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu :)Dietary restrictions: Vegan and allergy friendly (though not many soy free items)“
“My friends and I enjoyed our dinner while being in a great atmosphere. Our server John ensured we had what we needed during our time there. Whether that was sharing his knowledge about the menu or simply providing a refill in a timely manner. I would definitely come back!“
“I went with a party last night and we had a great time. The Old Fashion is one of the best I've had in a long time. They had one of my favorite Padron cigars available to pair with the Old Fashion. The second floor patio is a great space with great places to sit and have conversation. Tiffany was our server and she was incredible. Very welcoming, attentive, hospitable. She did a great job taking care of us. We will be back!“
“I am actually shocked for airport food. Service was amazing and friendly, and flavors were awesome. The portions for the chips and queso is a full on meal (for most people).Dip in the queso before the salsa for maximum stickage....other way around is maximum slippage :).Women behind the counter treated me like a proper bartender would....not a fly by night server at an airport seeing thousands pass through. So freaking refreshing.“
“My first time there and enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, courteous, and attentive. Although I was there for happy hour with friends, the appetizers offered were delicious. We shared the Paris Pizza, calamari, and chicken stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Delicious! Highly recommend this place.“
“? Experience the Magic of Toro at La Cantera! We had the pleasure of dining at Tork at La Cantera, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance captivated us with its vibrant energy and stylish decor. The highlight of the day was meeting Diego, the bartender extraordinaire. His skill in crafting the perfect Carajillo was nothing short of artistry. The blend of espresso and Licor 43, served over ice, was the ideal balance of bitter and sweet, providing a delightful pick-me-up.Diego didn't just stop at drinks; he took the time to guide us through the menu! .If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Toro at La Cantera. Ask for Diego, and let him work his magic with a Carajillo and some culinary delights. You won't be disappointed!!“
“I’ve been here a few times now and I am always impressed! The decor is like walking into a Mexican art gallery. The food portions are perfectly sized and the quality is so amazing that it feels like I’m eating at a Michelin restaurant. My favorite is the chicken tinga dish which is light yet savory. Recently I tried the Mole Amarillo, Piña y Habanero. Yes, that’s right. Mole that’s yellow. It sounds odd but it was delicious. I didn’t leave a drop on my plate when I finished. The crispy pork belly was so tender, a fork cut easily through it and the top was crispy and slightly sweet like award winning barbecue might be.Their margaritas are some of the best I’ve ever had and are always presented so nicely - never messy. The service people are attentive, quick and kind. This is one of my favorite places in town to take visitors to show them good Mexican food.“
“Had a great time with friends here. The food was excellent. We mainly did tapas and paella. The servers were very attentive parking was tricky because there were other events going on downtown. I had the chefs charcuterie plate which was very good. I also had the bacon wrapped dates which were a nice mix of sweet and savory. I also tried the tacos which were a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this place if you are looking for good Spanish food.“
“This little place is awesome! We were treated like VIPs the moment we walked in the door. We chose to sit at the bar because we enjoyed the greeter’s humor. For the next two and a half hours Raul and Lindsay (I’m sorry if it’s Lindsey!!) waited on us hand and foot, gave us fantastic recommendations, and bantered and joked with us. Those two made our evening much more enjoyable and gave great recommendations on wine, cocktails, and food. By the way, every thing we ordered was fantastic. The food was great, the wine pairing was fantastic, and the cocktails were amazing. This is a great little place and I’m so glad we found it. We will keep coming back every time we are in SA.Dietary restrictions: My wife has a severe shellfish allergy and they were very welcoming and careful to recommend menu items that were safe for her.“
“Great place for Pizza and Stella beverages. We came late Saturday night, right before closing and the team there was already wrapping the place down. They were so kind and allowed us to order to go, and we had a beverage at the bar while waiting. I tried the raspberry Stella, but was too bitter for me. I was given a sample of a lighter option, it was delicious. #7. Pizza was overwhelmingly delicious, we wished we could have ordered one to go. They use fresh ingredients. The dough was soft and had a perfect toasty taste to it. The Pizza was an explosion of flavor honestly. We appreciate the waiter who welcomed us, and the lady bar tender who was so kind. We look forward to visiting again soon. ?“
“Really wanted to give this place 5 out of 5 but dang it I couldn't sadly. I'll start off with the bad. The broth is far to lukewarm. Cmon man it was nearly room temperature. Also the mushrooms.. are baby portabella mushrooms. What kinda of ramen shop doesn't use shiitake? That was pretty odd. Besides that. Place is really nice and cozy for sure. The service was good but they were busy I could tell. The ramen. The 36 hour brother was absolutely stunning. Very reminiscent of ramen I had in japan many times. I was extremely impressed the broth had depth and many flavors. The chashu was up there being some of the best chashu I have EVER had. Take a visit y'all!“
“The place seems nice and clean, but the schooners are seriously on point! They have really cleaned up this place . But the schooners, lol, are excellent. They were so frosted that the beer started to ice up just perfectly b4 you gulped/tasted it.“
“Great food, service, and wines albeit airport prices. Would give 5 stars but the check recommendation for % tip factors in sales tax. I do not add additional tip for the tax. Beware as other establishments are doing this more often. It adds up. Cheers!“
“My wife has celiac disease, and she had searched for a dedicated gluten-free restaurant for us to try during our recent visit to San Antonio to visit family. She found this place, so we tried it out with members of my extended family. In our group of twelve, aged 1 through 70 with two celiacs everyone left happy. Neither celiac had a reaction to gluten, and everyone (including those accustomed to "regular" food) spoke highly of the unique flavors. Of the dishes that I personally tasted, the barbacoa chilaquiles were particularly excellent, and I also quite enjoyed the pork belly delight, chorizo empanadas, fried chicken on sweet potato waffle (and I don't even really like sweet potato), and brioche french toast (which may have been the fluffiest gluten-free bread I've ever had). Everything was so good that my wife and I came back later the same week to celebrate our anniversary. The sesame chicken and the duck with hibiscus mole did not disappoint, but the MVP of the meal was the Korean fried cauliflower appetizer. (Chef, my wife wants you to know that it is worthy of being a main dish, perhaps accompanied by avocado.) On our way out the second time, we spoke with Chef Leo and his sister Michelle (an excellent hostess, BTW) and advised them that we would be very disappointed if they weren't in business the next time we came back. The chef mentioned how his sister's celiac disease was one of the inspirations behind the "gluten-freeness" of the restaurant. It's a true family affair - the best kind of restaurant to patronize, IMO. And don't worry, if you like gluten (like me), you won't miss it here - the food is real food.“
