“Onion rings were good, 4 out of 5 stars. Burgers and grill cheese were good but not amazing. The desserts were the best, 5 out of 5 stars. Would definitely make a special trip from San Antonio just for the desserts. Key Lime pie was delicious, and the cakes were out of this world.“

“You know how old people, maybe your great grandparents, talk about how people used to be. People were friendly and enjoyed meeting new people. They sat out on their front porch at night talking. They had neighbors over for dinner once a week or so. They helped a man that needed help, and kicked a man's butt that needed kicking. You can still find those kind of people. This is that place. Plus you can get fair prices buying or selling on everything from goats to cattle.“

“Was 'ok' to go there and have a quick dinner. When we arrived there, it made an abandoned impression on us. Only 2 tables were occupied. When we left, we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Most customers just came to pick up their ordered stuff.“

“I had chopped brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad and it was tender and well seasoned ( the secret ingredient in the salad wasn't for me but still good). The coconut cream pie was AMAZING! My husband said the catfish was also very good.“

“A buddy of mine told me to give this place a try. Despite some of the negative reviews, we still decided to give it a try. For a Saturday night, there was a lot of people. We asked to be seated outside since the weather was perfect and was seated immediately. Service seemed to be running a little backed up but we understand and didn’t bother us too much as the scenery was perfect. Although our 2 appetizer dishes literally came out 2 minutes before our entrees, the food was great and big portions (chicken fried chicken). Overall, food was great, atmosphere was perfect! We would definitely come back again, my wife and daughters loved it and were excited to see the river and scenery“
