“We booked The Republic for a business meeting and ended up staying much longer after the lunch because the conversation setting was just great. The waiter did an excellent job and provided fast service, remembered our orders, was courteous and friendly. It was my boss's first time there and he had positive reviews as well. The chimichurri steak salad was excellent! We'll be going again soon!“

I was trying to choose between red and green salsa, and the server suggested I could get half and half. So that's what I ordered, to be topped with an egg. She asked how I wanted the egg, to which I replied, "over medium" (whites done, yolks still mostly runny). To drink, I ordered sweet iced tea because they told me it was fresh brewed.The iced tea was old and cloudy. I could barely drink it. The chilaquiles were delicious, both the green and red salsas, but the egg was very much well done. The egg was not that big a deal to me, but a coffee and tea shop ought to know that when iced tea gets cloudy, it has gone bad.I wasn't going to say anything, but Siomara came to the table and asked how I was enjoying my meal.so I told her about the undrinkable iced tea. She immediately apologized and offered me a replacement drink. She also offered me a goodie from the dessert bar to make up for the overcooked egg. I chose only to get a replacement drink.I think the staff at Betuzas cares about their customers. They seem to do so many things well; the chilaquiles were great. I would go again. I might just order a fruit refresher instead of the iced tea.“

Like they changed the recipe for aguachile, which doesn't even have “water.” It's pure shrimp. But it is tasty. The other food is good too. Yes I recommend this place!“

“Easily the best seafood I've had outside of South Padre Island. The grilled fish was a thick fillet, and teh shrimp were very large and meaty, both were very well seasoned. The sides were very good too. Fries were not too oily as I often see at other restaurants.Service was also very friendly and fast. It was a littl hard finding parking in the very small lot that was there. If it wasn't far away from me, I would probably go here once a week or even more.“

“Stopped in after searching Google recommendations for Tortas nearby my location. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing my food was!I had the beef torta & a lengua taco, with a mango licuado. Everything was PERFECTION!!!I never eat all my food, especially when there's bread involved...but I couldn't help myself! I ate everything. The salsa was great as well!I took my husband the second time I went, I wanted to share the experience. This time they also gave us a green sauce (I didn't get the first time), it was super delicious as well.Service was wonderful, food is absolutely amazing & I would eat there several more times if our stay was longer. “So glad we tried this new place! Well, at least new for us. Breakfast was on point. An authentic Valley traditional mexican breakfast. Salsa tatemada and toasted flour tortillas to start. I had huevos rancheros and was surprised they had Frijoles Albañil (chorizo with beans with jalapeños and onion.) These are a rare find. The other surprise was how they layered the eggs on top of thick ham and a corn tortilla then bathed in their delicious Salsa. I highly recommend Alejandro’s if you are looking for tasty and delicious breakfast on the weekend. Can’t end the review with out mentioning the kindness and courtesy of the staff. “We’ve been coming to Monterrey Cafe for many years now. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from But… we ultimately end up back here. We love the food! Not only does it taste good but the serving size is perfect. The staff always greets us with a smile even if extremely busy. “Came to eat Breakfast with a friend and My Son. This was the first time we came to this Restaurant. A Friend told us to come over and try this place. The Restaurant was very clean. Not too crowded. The Waitress was very Friendly and took our order right away. The Waitress took the time to explain to us the Breakfast Plates that they had available. Food came out Quickly. Everything we ordered was very DELICIOUS!!!! The Prices are very Reasonable. I will be coming back again to this Restaurant with my Family and Friends.“

“The food was good but a little expensive. I could have gotten a better deal at any other taqueria. I paid $12 dollars and change for a sandwich and a drink. A taco combo with a potato, beans, and a drink is less than that at another taqueria. The service was great, though. We stopped here because we saw a lot of cars in the parking lot. When we walked in, there were only 2 other people there. We got tricked, lol. The building is kinda old. They only have one restroom for men and women.“
