“Il Forno ROCKS. Unique pizzas with fresh, interesting ingredients. The menu rotates often. They cure their own meats in house. The wine menu isn't too too extensive but all the wines are thoughtfully chosen and the staff is always knowledgeable on the offerings and what pairs well with what- they also always let us sample before choosing what glass/bottle we'll get that day. We have never once been disappointed in the food we've ordered- like I said, Il Forno rocks. The space is also remarkable- very impressive home grown DIY herb and vegetable garden exterior, simple stone slab floors and concrete wall interior. It can be hard to come by restaurants that genuinely put heart into what they do, and Il Forno is definitely a gem in that regard. Il Forno... rocks.“

“Dined at Wild Barley Kitchen for a date night with my partner. Wild Barley is a knockout! We ordered a 10" Seta Y Jamon - the roasted mushrooms, garlic confit, prosciutto, mozzarella..when I tell you everything about the Seta Y Jamon is amazingly delicious EVEYTHING ABOUT IT IS DELICIOUS. We paired our meal with a Mur de Barley and On-Sight. Five out of Five. Service was great! Ambiance was casual, friendly, edgy, and very chill. Will definitely be back.“

“We had to come to SA for a medical appt. Going out to eat is always challenging because we need gluten free. This place nailed it! By far, one of the best g/f eaterys we've ever been to! The wings are sooo good and although the one size only (10 inch) g/ f pizza only came in a thin crust, it was absolutely delicious! And we usually don't care for thin crust but the fresh toppings and overall perfect sauce and cheese ratio made us forget all about the crust. We had a couple mixed drinks and although pretty pricey ($12 for a small glass), I have no problem paying for something if it's good quality... And these were very nice quality cocktails! The service was friendly and the time from ordering to food arrival was perfect. We have to go back to SA next week and we're already looking forward to another Mellow Mushroom night! “Honestly Great Food , Great Price, and Awesome Service. I had the Gyro and Greek Salad Combo . The owner was there and was friendly as well as the woman who took my order. This was a quiet and peaceful spot to enjoy lunch or dinner. Thank you to my friend who recommended it. They also are known for their Chicago Dogs so I've been told. I definitely recommend ? ?“

“The pizza dough was chewy on the inside, lots of toppings and they were very fresh.Service was good, the place was busy for dinner, but we walked in and got seated without any problems.We order the Americana pizza and the prosciutto crudo pizza, they were both great!The pizza came pretty fast also.Overall great pizzeria!Parking: Paid parking $4 an hour near the park about a block away“

“I've been a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The parking lot's a little small, so that can be difficult on a busy night, but that's probably my only complaint and even then I'll always recommend stopping here on a night out. The drinks are great, vibes immaculate, and the staff is amazing! I typically get the Molly Ringwald, but have tried many of their cocktails and they're all so good. You can't really go wrong. I also love that they have non-alcoholic options as well, so no one feels left out. On my most recent visit, we got a round of shots and I asked the bartender if she could make one non-alcoholic. No hesitation, absolutely, and our DD was so excited and appreciative to be included for once. It's definitely become one of our go-to spots.“

“Came here with a larger group (about 20 people) for a lunch and the food was delicious and ours servers were great. However it did take awhile for the food to come out. Considering it was a work lunch we needed the time to be a bit quicker but I would definitely come back for a date night l.“

“All I can say is WOW! My bf and I were craving pizza at 1:53 AM on a Tuesday and called here. The owner was extremely kind and friendly. “I drove 47 miles to try this place after seeing it on Facebook. These pictures do NOT do it justice. We were greeted the moment we walked in and were able to pick table. The atmosphere was welcoming and there is a full bar. I bet Friday nights here are something else. The hot wings are PERFECT. We ordered the spicy lemon pepper. They were juicy, cooked to perfection and the flavor is hard to beat. If you are a wing fan, do yourself a favor and grab a beer and a dozen. The waitress recommended the Maxed Out pizza, which was all meat and we added jalapeños. Now look here, this pizza ain’t no big bread tons of tomato sauce pizza . Toppings are definitely king here. They all come together creating this semi Smokey medley of flavor resting on a perfectly cooked bed of pizza dough. At first I was taking the usual bite but do yourself a favor and fold it in half and take it to the head. Like it cheesy? Go ahead and order that flat bread then prepare yourself for that marinara sauce..you’ll thank me later. The place is clean, restrooms are clean, service is great and the atmosphere is easy going. Five stars across the board. I will be back and I am definitely letting everyone know.“

“We found this place by accident. Growing up in a Italian community in Ca, you know what's real and what's not. We thought we had died and went to heaven!! “During a long bike along the San Antonio River Trail, stop over at Pizzeria Vesuvio and checked out their menu. I saw that they had a pesto chicken pizza, so I ordered a slice. I must say that it was Superb. The best chicken pesto pizza that I've had. Thin crust with a robust pesto taste in every bite.Having an opportunity to meet the owner as he was the gentleman that greeted me. He advised that he created his own recipes for all of the dishes that they offer and all made from scratch daily. This place is very welcoming woth a great atmosphere. If I had of known how good the chicken pesto pizza was I would have order a whole one. The next time I'm in the area, this I will do.“

“If you are looking for a yummy local pizza place, this is the place for you! It is a very unique kind of odd building so there is plenty of space to sit, we have never had a wait. The lobby has an awesome collection of Pop Culture toys, stickers, bags, Funko Pop Figures, and more! The beer selection is awesome and for an amazing price! The food itself is delicious perfect for a pizza, calzone, and fried appetizer meal. Some grows for the business is to have more side options that aren’t fried, we do table food with our 10 month old but he really has no options here to eat cause everything is fried. It would be nice to have macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, or even bringing back the alien fingers! The building itself also feels a little dingy and old, it also has a certain smell that some would find hard to get past. So some freshening up of the space would go a long way. “We came here for the first time on a random Saturday night, it is kind of small but super cozy. Enough room for about 15 tables or so. They do have reservations quite a lot, assuming it is Valentine's Day weekend - so I would reserve a table for the weekends anyways. It was great service by the staff, dim enough but not too dark, and not loud at all. They do have outdoor seating available as well and I thought it was super cute. We ordered chicken Parmesan and a primavera pasta. Complimentary bread rolls were SO FRESH I regret not taking a picture and the pictures taken of the food don't even compare to the taste. It is so authentic and not your regular Olive Garden, it was so flavorful and I'm a picky Italian food eater! The pastas were devoured and so perfect, along with the tiramisu! They were so kind and allowed us to order to go, and we had a beverage at the bar while waiting. I tried the raspberry Stella, but was too bitter for me. “This Italian place is phenomenal the ambiance surrounds you with greenery. You have both an inside and outside environment. The wait staff is very communicative and kind. “So I absolutely love pizza but I have not found a pizza place locally that I've loved. There was one on Stone Oak that's pretty good but otherwise, I'm always disappointed by the food. I stumbled across this place on Google maps and didn't recognize the name so I decided to give it a try and I absolutely love the taste! It's not too saucy, the crust was a nice texture, and one thing I really appreciated... I didn't feel disgusting after eating it. It wasn't super oily like a lot of places. I also ordered the potatoes which were nice and crispy. I'll definitely be coming here a lot more often (although my family is sick of me ordering pizza ?)“

“Visiting San Antonio and ran across this place. I got the Brick Pizza (their version of a supreme) and it was generously topped. They are also one of the few places I found that has Pepsi Zero at the fountain. The staff was so friendly too! My only criticism is that the crust is a little bland, but the char from the oven helps with that.“
