“Atmosphere is welcoming, but service seems too relaxed. Walked in and the waiter/waitress just waved us to them from across the room: on one hand, that can seem welcoming, but on the other hand, that can seem unprofessional. To me, it was little of both. The samosas, nan, and chicken coconut korma are awesome, though! I tried a few of the other dishes, both from the menu and from the buffet, but those were the only ones I really liked. Overall, I’d say about a 3.5.“
“Simply the only Indian restaurant we go to - the best dal, Naan, and curry you can find in 1000 miles. We discovered this place looking for Punjab cuisine like we could get in Silicon Valley, which has a large Indian population. This is it! Love their eggplant, love their rice. ... the rice is even better than anywhere else, true long grain basmati you do not find elsewhere.“
“The Proprietors are fantastic. Just the right level of attention, without joining You for dinner. The meal was Very Good! The only thing I would do differently on My next visit, would be to sit away from where the Air circulates down off the windows. That would allow Me to eat slowly, while enjoying My dish of choice.“
“Very close to real north indian taste. Unlike most indian food restaurants, this one is least localized ( except that it is less spicy).Their buffet has pretty good choices. I loved meat biryani, spinach chicken, chaat, pani poori, gulab jamun, fried rice, manchurian etc. In ala-carte, their masala dosa was very good.Highly recommended if you are looking for real north india taste. We changed our trip plan to enjoy this restaurant food 3 times.Their pani poori and chaat needs special mention, pretty good.“
“Everything in the buffet was quite good, and they had a decent selection. Covered the bases for me, though I would've preferred a different dahl. Just my personal preference.I particularly loved the tandoori chicken. It was so tender and moist. Not dried out at all, like is so often the case with buffets. And their goat curry was also phenomenal. Highly recommend this one for the buffet.“
“Absolutely delish Indian food. It was a bit confusing to find as it’s listed as Makim’s. On google but the sign on the door said Munch Kart. Same place. They were very helpful at offering suggestions as to what tastes great together and offering ideas on what to eat (I’m not that experienced in Indian food). They were considerate to help me avoid dairy (as much as possible). The food was sizable portions and well balanced. I made my own bowl and got the lamb and coconut curry. The naan was a little too crispy for my preference but still great.Wonderful people, amazing food.“
“Himalayan Kitchen has a nice relaxing atmosphere with great food. We started off with the bread basket and assorted meat platter. Both were really good and provided great samples of breads and meats. The included sauces were also amazing. For the entrees we had the prawn curry and butter chicken. Both of these had amazing flavor and would recommend. For desserts we had the pistachio ice cream and rice pudding. The ice cream was awesome but the rice pudding was a bit underwhelming but still decent. Overall this place was great with amazing food and fast service.“
“I love this place so much. I love the flavors and quality of the food of course, but also the customer service. They remember me and what I like which I greatly appreciate. I recently had a small wedding dinner at Royal India and the staff was accommodating, and the service kept the dinner moving smoothly. I was very impressed. They even made sure Kheer was available, which is not on the regular menu. Thanks!“
