“We went around 5:30 on a Wednesday and we were able to get right in. The service was quick and the food was excellent. We ordered 3 rolls of sushi and the chicken katsu to share among 4 of us and it was more than enough food and a great price for how much food we received.“
“This was my first time going to Slapfish and I enjoyed it. This location has plenty of parking with other activities to partake in nearby (like shopping). I would say that it may be just a slight bit pricey but I think that's expected for seafood away from the sea. I would recommend this place. The lobster and crab melt sandwich was very tasty and is just enough food to feel full (along with the fries). I feel like the $10-20 option from Google is hot exactly accurate. If they had a $15-25 option, that would be more precise.Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu“
“Update second visit...I took my daughter here for her 16th birthday celebration. Came March 25th 2024, at 730pm. Great visit. Was a much better experience this time. Music for me while great was a little loud to have conversations with our group. Our server Alex was terrific. I would ask for him when I come again. Manager made time to cubit all tables to insure great experience. Food was much better this time. We decided to ask for certain items to come around, that was a great idea. Worked out great too. Due to cost of everything up I spent more this time than last yet not more than I expected. For 3 around 125.00They will bring the main dishes around to you. It's nice, when they come. We waited 15min after siting before anyone came to our table. Must make reservations, and parking is at a premium.Kid-friendliness: Had a 2yr old with us. They were very understanding of her needs too. Even gave her toys and candy from manager!“
“The food was good, but the prices were enormous. I went to another one in Salt Lake they do the same service much more food same price I can’t believe the baskets has a few shrimps. I got charged $1.50 for extra fry sauce. The small pack very interesting.“
“The food is really good and the service was great. I would come here again. It's a cute little spot in a strip mall. High quality fish. I'm doing a very strict diet right now and it was a pleasant surprise to be able to get almost everything they offer. Great place for a healthy, satisfying dinner.“
“We were so impressed with the wide variety on the menu, the deliciousness of the food, and the kind service. We ordered alpastor tacos and a huge family platter with steak, chicken, Shrimp, cactus, onion that came with rice, beans, picó de gallo, tortillas, and guacamole. It was delicious!!! It was the first time I had cactus, and it was wonderful. My son has had it several times, and he said it was the best he had ever had. The food is VERY authentic. If you want authentic food, with good music playing, and a great salsa bar...go here.“
“You wouldn't think it's that good. But Tony's is the best sushi in such an unsuspecting place. I had heard about this spot before I moved to Layton but never made the trip. Once I ate there I regretted not having gone before. It's worth a drive, even from SLC or Ogden. Super good, fast, and reasonably priced.“
“Menu was a little misleading. I ordered fish and chips. The young woman then asked what side I wanted. I asked for broccoli. When my dinner came to the table there were no chips. Our waitress said that the menu was misleading but brought a small plate of chips. Why don't they tell you about this when ordering? Our waitress was awesome!“
“I was hesitant, an all you can eat seafood buffet in Utah. However, everything I ate tasted good. My favorites were the cold shrimp and cold crab legs. But literally everything I had was good tasting. I will say, the raw oysters looked scary, so i avoided them. As for service, they didn't explain the drinks were by the can, no fountain drinks, and no alcohol. The restaurant shows its age on the inside. But, so long as I'm not sick later tonight or tomorrow, I'll go back.“
“The food was amazing. The Shrimp and Grits should be their "signature dish." The grits were the best I've ever eaten. The creaminess of the Gouda balanced the spicy shrimp sauce perfectly and the sausage was delicious without being overly spicy. Drinks, appetizers and desserts also on point. Atmosphere is upscale casual and very inviting. Service was also very good which doesn't always happen these days!“
