“We were sightseeing in Salt Lake City, not expecting to find the best Asian food, and I can definitely say this is one of the best noodle spots of all the restaurants I've tasted in the Bay Area, San Diego, and even China. The broth is complex and delicious, and you can tell they use a lot of different spices. At the same time, it's not greasy at all, so you can drink the entire bowl after you eat the noodles. I got the braised beef rice noodles both times I visited, and even my husband, a Chinese native, was impressed by the broth. The restaurant is small and homey. Service is very fast, and you are expected to clean up after yourself (so no tip is expected). I recommend getting here early and/or during off peak hours because it can get pretty busy--especially on weekends. Parking can be tricky to find during rush hours.“
“I came here for the first time after hearing good things. I got a small Pho 34 and it was amazing. Large portion too. They bring toppings (soy sprouts, basil, green spicy chiles and lime), I wish they bright out cilantro too. The broth was delicious and there was plenty of meat in my bowl. I will definitely come back for the soup.I also got a banh mi (pork baguette) to go and it was OK. It only had pork a some carrots and maybe another vegetable. No cilantro, no jalapeño :( it was good, just kind of lacking some kick. The service was fast, the food came out quickly and hot. This place is affordable and delicious, I will definitely will be back for the PHO! <3“
“Very clean and open space. Ample parking, friendly staff. Seafood tofu soup ($14.99) was prepared well and tasted delicious. Wish it came out hotter, but love the fresh, warm purple rice that came with it. Side dishes were good, refills were offered. This is my go-to spot for tofu soup!“
“I absolutely love this place! My dining experience at The Pearl was nothing short of excellent. The combination of delicious Vietnamese cuisine, attentive service, and cozy atmosphere made for a memorable and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend!“
“The food is very good, but the service is not, an older lady with glasses serves very poorly, there were 5 of us who went to lunch from work and one of the boys brought lunch, we asked the lady to allow her to heat up her food and let her If necessary, charge a fee for heating, even though we were going to consume 4 more people, the lady refused and sent another waitress not to help. The colleague had to go out to eat cold food in the car. Terrible service and total lack of humanity“
“PheNOHMonal and Nohm Nohm come to mind. You thought it, I said it.We had a lovely dinner here and the food was delicious. Service is excellent. Drinks on point.Make a reservation and sit at the communal tables and enjoy a fun night with new friends. Get the pear salad, it pairs well with the chicken wings and curry dip. Will be back again and loving the neighborhood off 900s these days.“
“This time, we tried the citrus slaw, nam spring rolls, and filet mignon pho, all of which were delicious. We’ve been to Saola several times and it’s always a great experience with its stylish atmosphere, fresh and flavorful food, and outstanding service. Highly recommended.“
“Excellent! Flavor and attentionWe ordered Thai fried rice and pad see ew (if I remember correctly)The rice had a smoky flavor and the onions gave it a special touch, delicious! And the noodles not to mention! They were glory! The only bad thing about it is that the food was going to run out at some point ? but we will definitely return!“
“Located in downtown SLC, this casual dine in restaurant offers self service. You order at the counter off the simple menu that offers combo plates which includes rice and appetizer. The portion size is huge as they overfill the to go box, and the flavor of their curry it's so tasty with the right amount of spice to give a kick. Best of all is their pricing that's so affordable. If you're looking for a quick bite with no frills & want authentic tasting Thai food, come here!“
“Fav Bistro is a wonderful place to dine. The flavour in their dishes is unmatched in my experience around this area. It is my favourite place to eat and nervous times I have gone up for take out as I want to relax at home with a good meal. Great job in creating such wonderful dishes.“
“Everything in the buffet was quite good, and they had a decent selection. Covered the bases for me, though I would've preferred a different dahl. Just my personal preference.I particularly loved the tandoori chicken. It was so tender and moist. Not dried out at all, like is so often the case with buffets. And their goat curry was also phenomenal. Highly recommend this one for the buffet.“
“Wow! Amazing customer service! I ordered the piggy bop, not realizing it would already be spicy. They remade me a dish of B bop instead, and it was SO GOOD! I’ve been unlucky with good customer service lately, but this store has restored my faith. Thank you!!! Love it!!!“
“My wife had the tempura seafood I had a salmon bento box. It was really a nice lunch that was value for money. The place got slammed with a lot of tables in a short time I think there was only once server and she really did a fantastic job. Filled waters checked on everybody and never stopped moving the 5 star review is for her and for a nice restaurant after having a bad experience a few minutes before. We had a rare lunch time open together on a weekday without kids. Thank you so much!“
“This has to be one of them or stingy restaurants I’ve ever visited. The number of times I’ve had to say, “can I please get more?” is a little strange. The ratio that they give you in carbohydrates compared to protein is kind of ridiculous. You’ll be paying like 10 to 12 bucks for a meal and 90% of it. It’s just rice or noodles.I ordered a kids bowl and the worker put three meatballs on and when it got to the end of the line his manager told him to take a meatball off of the bowl. What is the deal with that? You all know very well that people want protein. That’s what they’re paying for.If I pay seven dollars for a kids meal to get two little meatballs, and a whole bunch of rice, then you asked me to give you a tip at the end of that just for putting rice into a bowl for me, doesn’t that seem stingy? Yes, it is stingy. Very very stingy.Aside from that, there’s a wide array of vegetables, and options that a customer can see through the glass. But does the worker ask you what you would like on top of your bowl? Yes, but only two or three things. It’s as though everything else is not an option for you. I remember asking “can I please get some broccoli?” The worker acted like I was asking for an arm and a leg. And they put one little piece of broccoli in the bowl.I was once charged like four dollars or something for some shredded cucumbers.I’ve been to this place a lot of times, so this is a regular occurrence for me. I just like the food I go there for the food. I can’t get it anywhere else. But I sure wish they weren’t so stingy.“
“Comfy, cozy and DELICIOUS. We went for the nostalgia as my husband used to go with his family 20+years ago. Everything we had was tastier than he remembered, and it was his family's favorite back in the day. So so good. We'll be back for more soon!“
“I have lived in the Millcreek area for the last 5 years, however, I had never stopped by at this restaurant. I had driven by it so many times and figured I should finally try it. Right when I walked in, I was already enamored by the decor and the set up of the restaurant. The decor in the waiting area is almost like a section out of a museum. There are painting and masks on the walls. It's so interesting to look at and it makes the place look authentic. You get a glimpse of the set up of the restaurant from the waiting room and it is set up like a very authentic Japanese establishment. There are rooms where you can SIT ON THE FLOOR AND EAT ON A CUSHION AROUND A LOW TABLE like Japanese people did back in the day. Each table is sectioned off with authentic wood dividers with wooden lights and hanging sphere lights. I love the touches of the place! The food was delicious as well. There are not many sushi options as it seems more like a dish and side dishes type of place rather than a sushi house. I ordered the breaded pork combo dish that came with tempura, salad, and soup. I had no complaints with it! There was a good amount of food for the price of the combo. I also tried the Smart Roll. I did not realize the salmon was cooked in the roll until I received it. I was wanting a raw fish roll, but that was my mistake, I probably did not read the menu diligently enough. The roll was still delicious and I enjoyed it. A note though: It was stuffed with an abnormal amount of rice, so the ratio between things in the sushi roll and the amount of rice did not match up... There was a lot more rice. This place is a very cute place to come with a date or for an intimate get together with friends! I suggest getting a rice plate rather than sushi at this place. You get more bang for your buck that way and I think the dishes are better anyways!“
“From the moment I walked in, Sara was very attentive and friendly. She handled my order with ease and care. Great customer experience!! I have found a wonderful place to have lunch ? during my break!! Highly recommend this location for an awesome meal!“
“Went for pho, was really skeptical about trying it cause I love the place where I usually go but this pho was darn good so I definitely have a new place to have my phone and way closer to home, definitely a little hidden gem. I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki and fried rice here too and been delicious. And by the way great “
“I really enjoyed eating here. I’ve gone twice and thought the food was delicious and fresh, and you get a lot for the price vs. a lot of other places. I tried the salmon and the grilled chicken, both in the Tiff Salad. You can order the level of spice/heat, but I think I’ll go with none next time because they’re just adding different types of hot sauce to the meat and I’d prefer it grilled. The rice and veggies are so good with the meat, the Tiff salad is awesome. You can get the smaller size and have plenty of food for a dinner sized meal. I paid $12 for the small salad and I couldn’t finish it.“
“Coming from NY I can say this is one the best "American" Chinese restaurants in SLC. Flavorful nice portion sizes and fresh. Nice hidden gem in Holladay. Typically do takeout but they offer dine in. Nothing too fancy but nice nonetheless.“
“We had finished our shopping at the market and wanted lunch.First you have to know the portions are HUGE.. the pictures don't do it justice. More food than we could actually eat.I had the chicken Udon bowl. It had good flavor, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I like, but it was still very very good. The chicken pieces were awesome... even though it was a bit sweeter than I like, I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. My son got a bento box with eel and pork belly..He was very excited about everything and thought it was really good, even though he wasn't sure what all of it was.My wife had the rice bowl with the Japanese Tonkatsu Curry (not pictured). She thought the flavor was awesome. We would definitely return.“
