“Really tasty pho! Had been here before a few years ago and wasn't wowed then, but glad I gave it another go! Broth was delicious, light, and flavorful. Not too sweet or oily as I've had at other restaurants. Wanted to try their banh mi, but were told by one waitress they weren't selling them anymore but told by another waiter that they were out of the bread. Also had the Thai iced tea; not bad but I have definitely had better elsewhere. Spent about $35 for two small pho tai bowls, a coke, and a Thai tea. Which is not too bad! They have a bathroom but it is located toward the back and it's in a creepy looking hallway with yellow walls and it is shared with the restaurant next door. Very interesting experience to say the least lol. There is a lot of parking spaces but good luck trying to find one! This restaurant is located in a shopping strip section next to the Chinatown Supermarket which is always busy! All in all, we will absolutely be back and I hope to try their banh mi!“
“Little hole in the wall places are among my favorites and this one certainly fits the bill. I've eaten here many times and find the quality of the food to be consistent and to my satisfaction. It's not gourmet but for fast and reasonably priced food, this place hits the spot.“
“Pho Tay Ho is the best place to go for an authentic Vietnamese Pho experience! They only serve Pho and they do it well. The broth is so rich and flavorful, and the noodles are always cooked just right. They have a variety of meats to choose from, like beef, chicken, and even tripe.The best part is that the restaurant is run by three cute Vietnamese grandmas! They are so sweet and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in.The only thing is that the place could really use a technology upgrade. They still use a paper and pen to take orders, but I don't mind, it's part of the charm. But if you're reading this and you have the skills to help, let me know! “House Special. Always healthy serving of the side vegetables. I recommend asking them for the chilli oil if you can handle the heat. Their broth is unique as it feels thicker than other pho restaurants I've reviewed in the past.I do not recommend the ox tail pho as it turns the broth on the fatty side and the meat and fat one bone that was served to me was on the tougher side. FYI, I did come here more than once to try both the house Special and the ox tail pho on two different visits.“
“First off, you know it’s good when it smells delicious from the outside. Soooo many good options for vegetarians here. I love Vietnamese food and this one did it justice with their options. I ordered the lemongrass tofu on vermicelli noodles. My friend ordered the garlic tofu on vermicelli noodles. Both were delicious! The food arrived fast, which was good because we were starving. I’ll definitely have to come here again when I have more time for their pho options.“
“This is a very unassuming restaurant in an older shopping center off of redwood road and 7000 S. Next door to the Smith's. I saw a picture of their Chao Long on Yelp and thought it looked appealing, so I ordered it. The gentlemen at the front seemed a bit surprised, but said it was a good choice. When I got home and took a closer look, it made sense why he may have reacted that way. Chao Long comes with Rice Porridge and then a side of toppings, herbs, entrails, and a type of pastry or Asian donut. From what I could put together it looked like tripe & chitlins. I'm not sure what else to be honest. I believe there was a blood sausage. It may have been a regular sausage, but either way it was good. It came with some type of oil or sauce in a small ounce packet. I just threw everything in my porridge and let the flavors marinate and the entrails get heated up again for a minute or so. Then dug in. I enjoyed every last bit of this dish. I love trying new things. I will definitely be back here to try other dishes. Definitely a hidden jewel for me. Their Facebook page shows that you can order for large parties. Looks amazing too.“
“I've been searching for a sugarcane drink place in Utah for a really long time. Not only was this drink authentic but tasted very similar to how my hometown in Vietnam used to make it. It was very nostalgic and brought back a lot of memories from my childhood. This is very convenient knowing I no longer have to travel to Cali to get sugarcane since this location is 10 minutes from my house. I also recommend their spring rolls/egg rolls, chicken rice plate, and flan cake:)“

“We came here for lunch on a weekday around noon and we basically had the entire place to ourselves. It's located on the north side of Salt Lake City, in the Rose Park-ish area. You order up at the counter and EVERYTHING is vegan! Although I'm not vegan, I'm vegetarian, I still appreciate spaces where I'm able to choose from allllll of the menu options. It's almost overwhelming! They have bahn mi, noodle bowls, rice bowls and delicious appetizers. I got the lemongrass fried rice and the portion was HUGE! I took a bunch home as leftovers. “I went to Red Lotus on 3/30 with a friend of mine and it was a little cloudy so we didn't know if the patio was open. We had two dogs with us so outdoor seating was a must. Luckily, they were and we enjoyed light rain on their patio. The food was amazing and I want to personally call out Genaro, our server. He was amazingly awesome!!! The shelves had in season/ fresh produce. The sea bass and chicken dishes were amazing. It was beautiful presented. Very reasonably priced. We are already looking forward to going back. Also classes are taught there and you can buy sauces and spices.“
“One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. There is not a "bad" option on their menu. I've tried it all. Reasonably priced and a good amount of food for that price. I gave service 4 stars only because they'll only give two sauces per bowl (which is fair, but I still want one more haha and I can't buy it from the menu). The people who work there are really nice. The restaurant is extremely clean. The music is good and it's not too loud for a conversation with your friends, but loud enough that eating alone is enjoyable. 5 stars. Great place.“

“I have been going here for several years. The flavor of the Pho broth varies slightly some days, However it is still the best Pho ever, their sandwiches are very good also. My favorite pho is P1 brisket and favorite banh mi sandwich is S8 garlic Ribeye. The people here are also very polite and I love the calm atmosphere.“

I love the taste of everything I've ever ordered but usually end up getting my favorite dishes, all vegetarian with soy 'chicken'. They also offer meat dishes, so any meat eaters can get what they want as well. When I'm buying, everyone eats veggie, but my meat-eating kids don't mind because they love the soy 'meat'!My favorites (all soy chicken) Moo Goo Gai Pan, Mu Shu Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken. Also veggie Won Ton Soup & Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls. “One of the best viet spots in SLC, never had a bad meal here and even friends from our of town love it. Menu is very extensive with so many options to choose from. My favorites are the roast chicken (fried basically) egg noodles soup, wonton and cha siu egg noodles soup, and combination rice dish are all great. The sweet and savory mini pancake shrimp with coconut milk is really good and not found in many places. Def recommend when in the area, with many other food and dessert options in the chinatown supermarket complex.“

“I came here for the first time after hearing good things. I got a small Pho 34 and it was amazing. Large portion too. They bring toppings (soy sprouts, basil, green spicy chiles and lime), I wish they bright out cilantro too. The broth was delicious and there was plenty of meat in my bowl. I will definitely come back for the soup.I also got a banh mi (pork baguette) to go and it was OK. It only had pork a some carrots and maybe another vegetable. No cilantro, no jalapeño :( it was good, just kind of lacking some kick.The service was fast, the food came out quickly and hot.
