“The King Buffet on Redwood Road, I do try to make it a weekly family night out and sometimes will go to their other location on State Street. But it's wonderful to see people coming in to enjoy Chinese food where there's a lot of foot traffic and it's great to see that so the chef can constantly cook fresh food when they are out of certain dishes. Other Chinese Buffet, their dishes be sitting too long and stale and you'll have a bad dinning experience. I decided not to post pics on what dishes they have as it's what they usually serve at every Chinese restaurants but do take a look at other peoples review. There are two thing I do notice between the 2 location is the Redwood location will have the stir fried calamari while the State Street don't have calamari and second, the State Street location has slice yellow onions at the Mongolian stir fried while the Redwood location doesn't which don't make sense but maybe people like calamari on the Redwood location so they serve it there. What makes King Buffet stand out, is the price and selection of dishes as you getting the best bang for ya buck with inflation being as bad but for $16.95 for each adults, its well worth its price for admission. Please keep in mind, I do notice a "2 hour limit" to eat posted sign on their menu board but I didnt have a feeling the place would kick you out for over staying more than 2 hours eating or/and even socializing as it would make their customer uncomfortable and put them in an awkward spot not to lose customers that be their regulars or even have a bad rep and eventually bad business to scare away future customers that want to enjoy the dinning experience . Hopefully, in the future, they can remodel the interior of the restaurant in the future to keep the place looking fresh as time will tell before it gets dull and old. The booth seat cushion is getting worn out and showing its age at some point I do notice and their table can bit slippery(your food plate can move like a puck if your not careful when trying to eat your food). Don't let their negative flaw discourage you from coming over here as their staffing/server was top notch checking on us consistently and taking our empty plates when we are done eating and refilling our drinks if needed. Did i mention there's no chocolate fountain or ice cream machine(State Street location has it). You could easily spend over $40 or more for a couple of Chinese food dishes at a regular Chinese restaurant that's not all-you-can-eat and still be hungry, so I do RECOMMEND you give it a try and I shall be back!Parking: Definitely plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: Yes, there be kids and have kids dishes as well to desert to their liking.“
“Very delicious high end sushi here at reasonable prices. Very impressed by the nigiri style sushi here as the fish was excellent quality. I had Blue Fin Tuna, Yellowtail, and Sea Bream and they were all very delicious! I would say it’s better than Itto Sushi for the sushi quality level. Very happy to finally try the food here and will be back for sure“
“If you are looking for a high-end presentation and unbeatable quality, Do yourself a favor and come eat at this amazing restaurant. The inside of this shop is clean and charmingThe waitress was super nice and tended to us.I feel like I’ve found a hidden gem,This is my go-to sushi place in Murray! The only thing that I have to complain about is the parking lot, besides that everything was phenomenal.“
“Nami has a great variety of sushi rolls and entrees. I went here with 6 friends we split 6 rolls and 2 appetizers. It was delicious and the food came out fast. I loved the San Francisco roll.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian rolls, appetizers, and entrees here.Parking: Standard strip mall parkingWheelchair accessibility: No steps with single standard size business door.“
“Been coming here for decades. Fantastic fresh sushi import from Japan 3 times a week. A gem in Salt Lake, like no other. The only issue is how busy it gets. But you can spend time in their bar next door while you wait or get there 15 min. before they open, on the weekends, so you can seat immediately. They do accept reservations for parties of 6 or more but you have to call as soon as they open.“
“We really enjoyed our evening. We ordered 2 or 3 items at a time til we were full. Not rushed, great knowledge of the menu. Fun intimate atmosphere bit a little noisy sometimes.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and our server was very knowledgeable. He brought my husband the sauces on the side that I couldn't have. It was a great experience on 700 east.“
“I had never heard of this place and was excited to try it out. It’s a beautiful restaurant on the inside, very nicely decorated. Each table has its own space and there were some larger rooms for bigger groups. The staff were incredible. They’re driving the 5-stars as the food was decent, but nothing too impressive. The egg drop soup was hot but lacked any kind of flavor. The edamame needed to be steamed for a few more minutes as half were still cold and very few popped open very well. The sushi rolls were pretty solid. Nothing glaringly wrong with them and we ate all of the rolls we ordered. The kung pao chicken was very salty, borderline inedible. The fried rice with it was delicious as were the gyoza and the egg roll.“
“This place is chic, service is exceptional and sushi is fresh and delicious. We ordered toro sashimi, Stargazer and mercury roll, but when the toro came it was a grayish white color which had us worried. Everyone who loves sushi knows that Toro is supposed to be pink... but the waitress was really really helpful. She not only asked the kitchen staff about the reason for the color, she also returned the dish back to the kitchen after we said we didn't want it. We then ordered a wagyu steak fearing for their fish quality, but the rest of the sushi rolls were amazing with big chunks of juicy sashimi inside. I'm pretty sure Stargazer had bluefin tuna on the topping. The wagyu was delicious as well. cooked to perfection for both the meat and the lightly battered tempura asparagus. Over all pretty satisfying experience. I hope the toro sashimi was just a random error. Coming back to try more next time!“
“Every time I come to wasabi I have such an amazing experience!Since we moved to Utah, we started coming and I can’t tell how much I love this place, the food it’s amazing, there are always new rolls and the waitresses are the sweetest, we love Sophie, since we started to try new rolls , she has the best recommendations, please try the Caribean roll and the Sundance.Keep innovating, that really makes the difference.“
“Itto Sushi: A Mixed Bag ExperienceLocation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The restaurant’s location is indeed great. Conveniently situated, it attracts a diverse crowd, especially among the younger generation. Plus, having another location nearby is a bonus.Family-Friendly: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Itto Sushi is an excellent choice for families with kids. The best part? You won’t feel guilty if your little ones get a bit rowdy – the neighboring tables won’t mind.Affordability: ?? (5/5) Thankfully, Itto Sushi won’t break the bank. It’s reasonably priced, making it accessible for most diners.Ambience: ⭐⭐ (2/5) Now, here’s where opinions diverge. Personally, I’m not enamored with the ambience. It lacks that cozy, inviting vibe I seek in a sushi joint.Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) On the bright side, the service is lightning-fast. You won’t be twiddling your chopsticks while waiting for your order. However, there’s room for improvement – a touch more warmth and attentiveness would elevate the experience. In summary, Itto Sushi offers a convenient location, family-friendly atmosphere, and quick service. If you’re craving sushi without the fuss, give it a try! ??“
“The Miso Ramen hits here! So good and balanced between the broth, toppings, and moods. Definitely won’t disappoint! The sushi is also pretty exceptional too. The Billy Billy and Volcano were some of my favorites. Service was friendly and helpful as well. The ambiance was also nice and updated as well and not over the top. My fave place in Salt Lake City so far!“
“Me and my friends went here after lunch. Kaze Sushi Bar & Grill is walking distance from Main St. The food was fantastic! Especially the takoyaki and the cripsy tuna sushi. I also commend our server, she's very nice and attentive with our tables and our needs. They also have a lot of seating and space for groups of people dining. Overall, I loved my experience and would definitely go back.“
“This was my first experience at Top Pot. It came highly recommended by friends. The initial impression was fun and adventurous with a greeting at the entry by Aqua Man and a giant Panda. We were seated promptly, and the wait staff was very good at explaining the concept and the way things worked. We fired up the grill and everyone ordered the broth of their liking. There is a huge selection of everything anyone could want. Many seafood, meats, dumpling, and fresh vegetable options to cook in your broth or in the grill. It took a little time to adjust the heat of the grill properly. But the staff realized our blunder and promptly replaced our slightly burned grill with a fresh new one. Go hungry, leave happy. And for the amount of food, drinks, and deserts you can consume, the prices seem reasonable. I highly recommend you give It a try!“
“Really nice place. Appropriate volume inside. We ordered an appetizer-skewer trio. Very delicious but personally i could taste the wooden skewers just a bit. Then we ordered crispy style sushi- spicy tuna with scallions and crunchy shallots. Pretty delicious! Rice was fried perfectly. I've had this at jinyas before and it was very oily. But this one was perfect. I'm just not sure the texture of the rice is my personal favorite. I would order again if I was with someone who's never had it like my mom or a friend.Secondly we had a tempura fried roll- DTH roll. P good. Not enough texture. Missing a veggie in this one. Would like to try a different roll next time.Husband got the dinner combination plate- tacos and steak. And chicken wings! Delicious“
“Food was so delicous, I got the crispy roll and the butterfly roll, and for dessert I got the passion fruit cream puff and the cotton cake. Everything was presented so beautifully, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is so nice! Our waiter was Mario and he was so friendly along with the rest of the staff, I'd definitely recommend this place!“
“Loved my entire experience, start to finish. Ending with a masterful Venus roll that melted in my mouth and left me wanting more, but I was too stuffed. I will be coming back. Our waitress was so lovely, wish I remembered her name. 11/10 would highly “
“This is a Sushi and a Thai restaurant. We love Thai food and we wanted to try this out. Food is great and tasty. Mango sticky rice desert is our favorite here. That said ambience is okay and mainly pricing is a bit higher than the quantity they give when you compare it with other Thai restaurants around. Service was great though it's a bit slower.“
“Incredible Service & Exceptional Food. We dined in & had a very good experience. The service was spot on. Definitely be coming back for the experience we had. The food had was delicious. We dined in & had food to go. They were very accommodating with our orders. I highly recommend this place. If it’s busy or not you will get everything you need in a very timely manner.“
“this place was packed on our Friday night visit. Luckily, there were only two of us, so they were able to save us pretty quickly. I actually really appreciated the fast service. Our server ordered our food quickly and brought out our food quickly. and I mean no mistakes. we ordered a variety of special roles, as well as ramen noodles, takoyaki, and warm sake. For the price you pay, you definitely get your bang for your buck.“
“I would have never thought sushi from a food truck would be good, but they had amazing food! We got the small tray, and it was more than enough for myself and my mom. The owner was super friendly, and they serve different flavored juices/water every day (we got the strawberry). The 3 cheese roll was my favorite, but the other rolls were up there. Great for large groups with 6-12 roll platters, and the price is fair for the portions ($50 for 3-4 servings). They also stay in the same spot for most of the week , so you don't have to travel to pick up!Vegetarian options: Natural and vegan options“
“Honestly the freshest fish I've had since moving here. The roll selection is good and the carpaccios and nigiri are top tier. Everytime we go (at this point it's at least a dozen times), the service is great, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is super clean. Also, they can make a great cocktail (rarely encounter a place that can make a proper Aviation). I hope to see the place do well and stick around.“
“We always have the best time when we visit from up North. This is the BEST hibachi grill around. They don’t mess around with their portions, we were bursting at the seams by the time we left. Jacky was our chef and he was so fun with our boys and even took the time to make them balloon samurai swords. They saw the free ice cream sign on the way out and somehow found a little bit of room for dessert.“
“Lily was our server and she was excellent. Helped my friend order a roll that was not on their menu. We got some appetizers coconut shrimp and the heart attack, the jalapenos weren't very spicy but it was delicious. We ordered 2 rolls each and tried a few different things I would recommend the Sunkist it was delightful and the sauce was so good also got the mango tango same.“
“Love it when they have their 50% off sushi in the winter, literally a steal!! Their sushis are so good!! It’s also a Korean bbq where you cook your food which seems very popular but we’re here for sushis and sushi only!! Ohh their gyoza is so bomb ?“
“They're looking really good in here. They did some remodeling. I've been here many times especially for lunch and I would like to just share with everybody to stop by here and try it out. The sushi is fresh and delicious and moderately priced! You cannot find sashimi this thick at Tsunami or any other sushi place that I've been to in Salt Lake City valley. The only downside is they offer either tuna or salmon. They don't have other raw fish options however, I am hopeful they will add yellowtail one day!Lee's is in Sandy Plenty of free parking. Friendly service!“
“Much more than just sushi. Their pork cutlet and Tonkotsu Ramen, for example, are always so good; we’ve been several times and haven’t even gotten around to the sushi. This is consistently very good food and I suspect it’s been overlooked somewhat because people assume it’s primarily sushi, when in fact it’s much more.“
“The food here is truly delicious. The salmon and filet special is delicious and cooked to perfection. Food would be rated a 5 in my opinion but the restaurant itself needs a renovation. I wish it felt cleaner inside. For that I give it a 4. Service is great though!“
“Sean was the best server I've had in a long time. Genuinely the nicest and most professional server I've had in years. Food was great, atmosphere is what you expect at PF Chang's with an overall chain feel but all in all, a great experience. Will absolutely be back for more.“
“This place is always amazing! I love their sushi. I highly recommend the tartare! There was only one time it was so busy we were waiting for our food for a while, but I enjoyed my friend’s company and think dining out shouldn’t be rushed(for the most part).“
“What started as a high school tradition turned into a sushi place I’ll always be able to count on. The atmosphere is homey, they are so fast with your food, it’s always good quality and yummy and overall they just make it easy. My family and I came here for Christmas dinner and my parents so pleased and impressed. The portions of the noodles are so big and the prices are amazing. The family that runs is it so hardworking and I cannot rave about this place enough.“
“Great little hole-in-the-wall budget priced sushi with an added catch phase “burrito” enticing diners, who might otherwise be reluctant to indulge in raw fish fare. Popular with delivery apps, DoorDash and GrubHub these handeaten rice rolls are quicker than fast-food for a snack or lunch at the office. Not for all but worth a try as many repeat this healthy light indulgence.“
“The Japanese lady it's kind and helpful, this place will give you a real taste on sushi and culture. Taking care also about fusion and international food.. strong taste, flavor.. best sushi In salt lake for now! Loved Maki RollsKid-friendliness: Sillas para niños, menú para niños nutritivoWheelchair accessibility: Rampas y acceso fácil al parking“
“Love me some WinCo Foods. I was just in to take a peek. I shopped at the one in Henderson Nevada and if you shopped there you know whats up. If you're not familiar with WinCo well let me tell you it's big like WM but prices like WM used to have with way more options for food, a section dedicated to the foods for special diets, keto, non gmo, organic etc... then there's to meat department and offers delicious cooked items like fried chicken, strips, thick jojo potatoes, roast chicken, etc... the team was very sweet and helpful. The bakery is huge offering a large variety of baked items and popcorn/snacks. I have nothing but positive experiences so a 5 it is... Support your local employee owned businesses!“
“Out of the way place. Next to hotel but the storefront is not easy to spot off the main street. Rather nice interior with sports on 3 TV screens. Alcohol is served. Surprised they did not have takoyaki. Had the salmon teriyaki bento box. Good value. Close to the park.Kid-friendliness: There's a kid's menu!“
“PSA: I AM NOT TAKE PICTURES OF MY FOOD GUYHowever. We've been coming to Soy for a number of years. We are always pleased with the food, drink, and service.Today was simply over the top. This food was delicious and beautiful, our servers and chefs were accommodating and helpful. My lady and I will be proud patrons of this establishment for years to comeVegetarian options: Figure it outDietary restrictions: Figure it outParking: Figure it outKid-friendliness: YepWheelchair accessibility: Sure“
“This place is my new favorite sushi joint in SLC. It’s small, yes, but that just means that the service is fast. The servers are friendly and the owners work up front, greeting customers and prepping the food. And the sushi… fresh, creative combination as well as more traditional varieties. Sorry that I didn’t get a pic before it was half gone! Also, if you want a fresh take on a cocktail, try one of the sake-tinis. The peach blossom and the sunburned skier are so good and not sweet.“
“Probably one the better restaurants around the area, I love the jalapeno poppers, they are packed full of tuna and has that sushi taste to them. The fried rice tastes and looks like homemade fried rice, if it weren't for the bbq beef I ordered along with it, it tastes kind of plain. I plan to come back to get sushi instead next time.“
“Fresh and good value.Vegetarian options: There are few vegetarian options. I had the asparagus, cucumber, avocado roll and that was good. There is also miso soup. I think in total they have about 6 or so individual veggie rolls, some with a variation of the same ingredients.Dietary restrictions: I have a wheat and dairy sensitivity. They were able to make my rolls gluten-free and there was a decent selection of dairy free rolls. They brought me gluten-free soy sauce in a small bowl but I got symptoms shortly after eating with it. I’m not sure if it was cross contamination or what. If you can’t consume gluten, I suggest you bring your own tamari to be on the safe side.“
“I came in tonight to try the okonomiyaki. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. It was delicious and so was the sushi we loved this place and we will be back! We had the firebird roll and that was a lot of fun with the blue flames. My husband had the salmon kama. All delicious. We liked reading the story of itto sushi in the menu.Parking: Tons of parking“
“O’Shucks is my favorite bar in SLC! I’ve been coming here for years and have always been treated great by the staff. Nelson (best bartender in Utah) is a legend and is always attentive and great to chat with. Pop and Tony are also awesome and super kind.Shucks has incredible $3 schooner deals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which keeps me coming back.“
“Our favorite place for a date night that doesn’t break the bank. Yet it’s not a divey hole-in-the-wall place either. Great atmosphere, super nice employees and best sushi you can get for the price! Great apps, sushi, and noodles. Can’t go wrong here!“
“Quality sushi. Great customer service. They really listen to feedback and are great communicators. I placed my order online. The owner called to explain they were out of the udon, but was great about replacing it with something else. Too bad the place looks so shabby on the outside, but that's small potatoes. I'd give full marks if they didn't use Styrofoam.“
“Kyoto as wonderful! It was our first visit and we will definitely go again! The flavors were incredible, the staff was lovely, the sushi chef was fantastic. I can’t wait for our next visit. The food was so fresh and delicious! We got the lobster sushi roll, unagi, miso, steak plate, pickled vegetables and tempura. All were amazing!“
“Really so great! It would be fun to eat on the patio when the weather warms up. The Bloody Mary and coconut pineapple mojito was so good. I’m pretty picky about bloody Marys. The deep fried goat cheese was so much better than I thought it would be and the beignets were so good. My only complaint was that my salad was honestly ridiculously overpriced. $27 for a salad… eesh. Won’t order that again.“
“If you love sushi, this is the place for you!! This is a family run business with amazing people and amazing service with a great variety of rolls and other menu items! Plenty of options for individuals who appreciate the fried/ cooked sushi as well! The quality of the sushi is just as good, if not better in my opinion then some of the higher priced places that I've been too!! I can't recommend this place enough!! If you're in the area and looking for sushi, definitely stop by!!“
“I love this place! I go at lunch and we are immediately seated. The food is fantastic. I love that I have the choice of sushi and/or Ramen. Their chicken katsu curry Ramen and their Kimchi Ramen are amazing! We needed a good Ramen house closer to us, and here it is. Others in the area aren't as good.“
“Hole in the wall and so good! Have a sushi burrito craving? This is the place! The staff are nice and the food was made quickly and was very fresh and absolutely delicious.Must try:Phoenix sushi burritoFire Island sushi burritoCream cheese wontonsThe seating is cute and goes with their vibe. We sat and tried a few items on the menu. Great location!“
“I come to this Tsunami location relatively often, and was here again today for lunch with my wife and grandma. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the happy hour deal is awesome! But what made me really want to leave a review was our lovely server, Shalae—she was so attentive, personable, and sweet, and just made our whole visit a special treat. Wonderful service, can't wait to come back!“
“Chopfuku Sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant in town. This place is one of the best I have ever had. They are unique and take pride in their craft. I have been impressed with their staff. Toh and his team really know how to make a special occasion ever better. They can become a high-end sushi place or just have chill date night with wife. Nevertheless, I heard about their new location opening up, I am excited to go there also. This isnt the place you go once. This is the type of place where you go at least once a month to enjoy. ITS a LIFESTYLE!“
