Was almost dissuaded when I noticed it was inside the mall. I had the general Tso chicken, broccoli beef combo with fried rice. It was quite good! The lady server was polite and helpful. “Hello, I just went through the drive-through to get sweet tea for my wife and two-year-old son. As I pulled into the parking lot, the woman at the podium handing out receipts gave me a dirty look, possibly because of my loud exhaust. I proceeded to the line to order my beverage, and while I waited, she handed receipts to the two cars in front of me but stared at me and my car with the same look. She didn’t offer me a receipt, which my wife needs to scan for points on an app that helps us financially. I had to ask for one when I got to the window to pick up my drink. I noticed this number on the receipt, which belongs to the operator, Jason Umberger. I believe the employee may need some coaching on maintaining professionalism and not letting personal judgments affect her behavior at work. As a manager for a company in Virginia that sponsors VCU, the Flying Squirrels, and many others, I understand the importance of professional conduct in the workplace. This was 8/22/23 @ 6:19PM.”

“We were taken to Carytown Indian Cuisine last night by our kids. We were so impressed with our experience! The food was amazing. I requested a specially prepared curry vegetable dish, and the chef/owner was happy to create it for me. Several of our party enjoyed tikki masala with chicken. We also enjoyed lentils, cooked to perfection and wonderful chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was impecable. Our waiters were so attentive and responsive, even though it was a very busy night. The ambience was warm and classy. The chef/owner was so gracious and even visited us at our table. I can't wait to return to CIC.”

“My friends and I had a fantastic time indulging in multiple rounds of Lemon Drop Martinis, along with delicious appetizers like cornbread and wings, followed by a delightful dinner. Our server was exceptional, making the evening even more special as we celebrated my friend's birthday. To our surprise, they treated my friend to a complimentary glass of Prosecco adorned with a birthday candle. We couldn't resist sharing our entrees, which included smoked brisket meatballs, pan-roasted shrimp, and fried catfish, all of which were incredibly tasty. The portions were generous enough for sharing, and the fried catfish was simply the best we've ever tasted, prompting us to order some to take home. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a cozy evening with friends or family!”

“AMAZING! My BF and I like to try out new places. So I had seen this place a few weeks ago. It was a weekend night and very busy. We went yesterday about 1 pm and it was quiet. The owner was enthusiastic and very helpful as we were unfamiliar with Venezuelan cuisine. I had the Carne en Coco Arepa and didn't leave even a crumb. My BF tried the Pollo Asado Bowl and left nothing either. Both our meals were obviously prepared fresh and piping hot. I tried the Mora Juice and my BF tried a Pacifico. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Maly let us know that they were out of Tres Leches Cake and Quesillo...but would have more soon. I am going back today to try an empanada and a pastele; and pray they have the desserts as I will get both!”
