“This is a cute roadside ice cream stall located at Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista. The hours are limited during the week (3pm-5pm) but they have longer hours on the weekends. The prices are decent. $1 for a pup cup, $2 for a kids cone up to $9 for a banana split. The ice cream itself is pretty good. It's not made in house, but still pretty good! I recommend the smores flavor!”

“My go to place for nights I just cannot make dinner - their carry out service is quick and so good! Hawaiian pizza is a go to for us - best one we've had anywhere! Love it! Spaghetti Buena Vista is fabulous too. Spaghetti topped with a nice meat sauce covered with melted mozzarella cheese - fresh baked bread sticks, a green salad. I always recommend this place to visitors. It's a family friendly place, casual, a hometown eats kind of a place with REAL Italian food!”

“I went here 2 days in a row. Was a little on edge seeing the reviews if I should go or not, but it was definitely worth it. So far I've tried the lo mein, egg roll, fried rice and schezuan wonton and it all has been a delight to eat. Good space and reasonable price. It's a hidden gem in this town.”

“Long wait in line at the drive thru but once I ordered it was great! I always have a special order because I'm such a picky eater. So I ordered my original chicken sandwich plain. I was very pleased to see that it was plain when I received it! That hardly ever happens!”

“These folks do a good job. You can tell they were short-handed. The guy making the meals was by himself (Curtis) and you could tell he was being worked to death... but he just kept going. (He deserves a bonus and a raise...) I appreciate employees like that. I didn't mind how long it took (not really any longer than anywhere else...) when the employees look like they ate trying to bust it out. Kudos to today's staff.”

“OH MY GOD THIS WAS THE BEST CHICKEN TENDERS I HAVE EVER HAD! if you are in the area you definitely should go. So good the burger's are great too, for appetizers I recommend there buffalo wings they also were SO GOOD. The waitress's and waiter's were great not too loud and just a beautiful and tasty experience. If you're worried about the temperature they have ceiling fans everywhere that keeps the temperature perfect, I would definitely recommend you should go! PS: I didn't get anything but they do have a bar with a lot of alcoholic beverages.”

“Bougie, pinky's out, delicious. I'm an amateur coffee snob and always on the lookout for a great single origin pour over in my travels. This place has it. They roast their own beans, and they do a damn fine job. (We left with a bag.) The tasting notes are accurate. Also, they serve phenomenal baked goods. They do not make them, but their source is top notch. I trust their coffee and their judgement. You should too. Stop in get a cup!”
“Great Pizza (for Virginia… it’s no Connecticut Pizza ?)……. Great Staff…. and Great Craft Beverages make for an awesome experiences. Best place we have dined at in Lexington so far.”

“I ordered my food for pickup at 3:30 one day and then at 3:40 my school went on lockdown. I called 2 hours later and asked how my order was and they said it was ok. Four hours later, at 7:30, I finally got out of lockdown and called again, thinking the best I could get was a refund. To my surprise they told me they would heat up my food and have it for me to pick up. I’m about to grub and I could not be happier. I LOVE GOLDEN GARDEN, incredible service incredible food.”

“Food is decent. We enjoyed the hummus, spinach pie was alright, Saganaki (Flaming green cheese) was good too. But we made a mistake of ordering Alfredo pasta for kids and that was probably the worst Alfredo pasta they ever had. Shouldn't have tried Italian in a Greek restaurant! Anyway, service was crisp. Less smiles and greetings but quite professional. Between 3 and 4, I settled on a 4!”

“We loved this place! After a long day on the road it was a welcomed stop for the evening. The place was quiet yet welcoming for a nice dinner. We were able to talk and unwind from a busy day. Our meals were delicious; drunken noodles and red curry. We left full and quite happy with our choices made.”

“What you would expect for small-town, country meals and friendly, fast service. The staff are so attentive, and food is delicious, simple and affordable especially for today. A hidden gem and wonderful place to grab a quick bite as a couple, family or even solo. To be honest, my husband and I are just glad to have a diner in town, as it was desperately needed. Do try the home fries and baked apples! If they adjust to more days open in the future, we would be thrilled and would go even more often! Wishing Sunrise Diner many years of success here in Lexington.”

“I was stopping by the town and craving ice cream, and I am so glad I came in this shop! The ice cream was delicious but the chocolate dipped cone waffle was something else, it’s the best thing I’ve tried and I wish I had this ice cream shop back home! 100% ”

“Both of us came to Lexington from more metropolitan areas. My partner was born and raised in Phoenix, where I lived for many years as well. It doesn't get much more authentic outside of Mexico than Phoenix. Having said that, though, there are so many average or worse Mexican restaurants in the US. Places where they plop some canned refried beans and bland rice on a plate, next to whatever you ordered so covered in some sauce that you can't tell what it is. Don Telquilas is better. While still being reasonably priced, you get large helpings that are well seasoned and flavorful. One of our favorites is the Chorizo-Pollo, spicy and cheesy. My go to is the carnitas, which are better earlier in the day (they overcook as the day progresses), juicy chunks of pork served with saiteed onions, very good. You are greeted fairly promptly and seated (if there isn't a wait), and then bottomless chips are brought with a red sauce as well as Virginia's white sauce. You might mistake that for ranch if you didn't know better, but it's a little tangy with a spice to it, and I like to mix it with the red for a tasty bite. While you wait (food comes out pretty fast!), you can enjoy the hand painted wall decor and the authentic, made in Mexico painted seating. There is always Mexican music, sometimes a tv, and a separate bar area. The bathrooms are clean and bright as well. I steer clear of the quesadillas, having ordered a chicken one that only had chicken but no cheese, which was odd. But the fajitas are great, as are a variety of the enchiladas, shrimp and fish dishes and more . I've always left full, taken home leftovers, and never been ill from their food. The ice tea is crisp and cold, fresh and never stale. They have a decent selection of beer, including a few Mexican ones. Service has always been friendly. If you're in town, try it out!”

“Gina’s is my go to place for when I’m tired after a long day and just want something doordashed to my apartment. 9 times out of 10 I order the same thing (Margherita Pizza) which is excellent, but everything else on the menu is good too that I’ve tried. The few times I’ve been to the restaurant in person the service is very fast and polite and I’ve had zero issues with them.”

“Place is very large, with a huge seating area in and out. We were working our way back from Roanoke trying to complete the Brewery Trail to get a shirt. Waited almost 10 mins to be seated. Got a nice table on the deck, with a fantastic view. The food was ok, nothing overly special. Found the burger to be dry and basic. The Jalapeño Poppers were excellent, though. Their system was messing up and kept getting our orders wrong. We had multiple servers, and they all were very nice and worked on trying to get everything correct. They also have a corn hole pit, so you can play some while there. DB beer is always good and always worth getting a draft or two. location is nice, well worth stopping by and checking it out.”

“Still one of the best places in the area; we recently tried another "trendier" place nearby and were sadly disappointed. Look forward to returning here on our next trip.”

“Not a very smoked flavor. Mac&cheese was very dry and slaw tasted a little spoiled. Sauces were okay. Nice appearance but very expensive. 3 meat platter and "hog pen" fries and a drink was $40”
