“The facility speaks of elegance, and the menu covers most tastes. Food is well prepared and presented. The food temperature was very good except for broccoli - it was cold. The waiter could have been more attentive - eventually, another waiter came and cleared our table. This is a great restaurant. It just needs a few tweets to make it top shelf.“

Crush Pad Wines Wine Bar •
118 W Main St, Charlottesville

“Stopped in for a glass of wine while waiting for our dinner reservation. They immediately accommodated for our party of 6. This restaurant/bar was so good that we abandoned our dinner reservations Saturday night to hope they would have a place for us. They went out of their way to welcome us. If there is anything out of the weekend that I recommend, it’s the crush pad.“

“What a hidden gem. Hands down the best iced coffee I have ever had. Unlike other shops, the iced coffee actually had flavor and lots of it. It didn't taste watered down or weak. The staff was excellent, I felt like a regular right away. The wine selection is extensive and has a personal touch to it. I will be making it a habit of stopping by anytime I am in town.“

“Went here based on the recommendation of a fiend. It was Valentine's Day and I was alone (!), so the only option was to eat at the bar - not my favorite and I almost left. So glad I did not.The meal was wonderful - among the best I have had in a while. The bread with hummus and muhammara was excellent and the seared haloumi was sublime. The peasant pasta was excellent as well. Desserts were a little limited but the chocolate pots de creme was fine. The service was outstanding throughout. It'd be nice if they allowed singles to sit at tables (there were tables available throughout my stay) and the dessert offerings could be expanded a bit. That said, the appetizers and main were top notch - I'd definitely go again, this time with a companion.“

“Everything we've tried here over the years has been super delicious. The brie, fig, and speck crostini is one of my favorite snacks/small plates of all time anywhere. There's kind of a rotating cast of sandwiches, salads, and soups and it's always tasty with super fresh tasting ingredients and great flavor combinations.“
