You always get great service sitting there as well and chatting with the owners who do the cooking. Glad to see this historical restaurant was purchased and kept going by the new owners. “I have eaten here several times. I enjoy their pulled pork and other barbecue, for it is really good. Their prices are reasonable and it is popular with the locals. Its location - the Dayton Market, can be a lot of fun with everything from cakes, pastries, candy, a kitchen store, a specialized food store, crafts, a neat toy store, a great lamp store, a butcher, smoked meats, etc. Very much worth a visit.“
“The restaurant is extremely noisy--it's hard to carry on a conversation. It's also crowded. Even with a reservation, our party had to wait nearly 30 minutes. The service was good. So was the food. The cactus blossom onion was very good. They brought the best baby back ribs I've ever had in a restaurant. That's a low bar, but they were only a little dry and they weren't smothered in sauce, which is a welcome change. (No choice on the sauce--it's that horrible sweet one that is ubiquitous in restaurants-- and inedible for diabetics.) My friends all enjoyed their food. Portions were generous and to-go boxes were needed.“

We drive by Smokin’Q food truck once and decided we would check it out before we went back home and I’m glad we did! The food was tasty and you can’t beat the price. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the sandwich bread could have been warmer and toasted. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!“

“This was the perfect lunch! We had some time to look around the store, there was so much to see! Great variety of choices too! As soon as we walked in the door the aroma was amazing! The flavors in the food we ordered were every bit as wonderful as that aroma we entered to.
