“It was fun to find and visit a place that's obviously a longtime local social hub for Franklin VA. Hubby's eggs to order and sides were good. My biscuits and gravy were okay but not amazing. The servers were sweet, friendly and professional. The regular customers, however? We sat at the front window table so we could read while we ate, obviously unaware of unwritten local customs. And no, we didn't hang out for ages, as we were on a long road trip. We snagged actual dirty looks from folks coming in, as soon as they saw strangers at "their" table. When my husband stood up after the meal and put on his jacket, one of the regulars walked right up to our table, which we hadn't even left yet, and plonked his beverage down, edging towards hubby's chair. The table wasn't even bussed yet! I very much hope that's not a frequent behavior.“
“12/20/24. 13:30 hrs. Waitress Jess. I could not believe the amount of food for the price. It outclassed anything in the area. It has an air of high expectations and it lives up to every point. Date night or just lunch this place has it all. You will not be disappointed at all. I live in Murfreesboro and nothing here can match price and quality of the food. Class is what it should be named. Noting in my town holds a candle. Here food is overpriced for what you get and not even as good. Serve will get my business from now on for a classy dinner at a great price. Check it out.“

“Food was exactly as I expected. I got a grilled Chicken with shrimp. My husband got it with the cajun flavoring and I got it without the cajun flavoring, The mashed potatoes were phenomenal as usual. It was very happy with our waitress and the service .“
“My experience was great at this location. I ordered the lunch special, but they were out of one of the items. The server substituted the item which I enjoyed thoroughly. It must have been "pay it forward day" because one of the customers paid for another customer's meal and in turn she paid for mine. I then contributed to another customer's meal. Nice restaurant, great staff and kind customers.“
“I popped by here while visiting a friend after their baby shower. When I arrived. I was immediately and warmly greeted, given a menu and shown the specials. Once I ordered my food I waited and saw how each person who came in was greeted the same way and how kind they were to customers. The staff knew the regulars and asked about their families even wishing one a happy birthday.Now the food! I ordered the fish and shrimp with potato salad and rice and gravy. The fish and shrimp were hot and fried to perfection. The rice was cooked well and the gravy seasoned quite well. The potato salad was flavorful. The whole meal reminded me of family southern cooking and was fantastic. I definitely will return.“
