“We liked the Metro Diner so much we went for dinner on Friday night and Saturday morning when we checked out of the hotel. Friday night was their fried fish plate special. We both ordered the fish plate. The fish was not heavily battered and the fries were hit and crisp. My husband had the salad which unfortunately he had to go through because of some bad leaves of lettuce and I had the loaded potato soup which was thick and tasty for our starters. The next day we both ordered their classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, grits, toast and pancakes. If we travel in this area again, we will definitely come back. For both meals are servers were very nice.“

I highly recommend you give this place a try! The 15 bean soup was amazing! My salmon salad was a great! My mom's ribs and pulled chicken very good! She loved the toast! We will definitely return. “This restaurant has very large food portions that are delicious and for a great price! The cheese fondue appetizer is huge and is a great portion for up to 6 people with leftovers. The meatloaf wellington was also a massive portion and loaded with flavor. Tuscan gnocchi is definitely a favorite as well as the Grilled Chicken with Sun-Dried Tomatoes & Gorganzola Cream Sauce. I love the fact that they bring your food out AS SOON AS ITS DONE instead of letting plates sit under the lamp until the whole tables are done. That makes a huge difference.
