“I was craving Chinese food, and I looked for the highest rated place within a half hour of my house. It was worth the 20 minute drive, best carry out Chinese food I have had in years. Very nice. Family owned restaurant. I will definitely be back.“

“Mama Cheng is a decent Chinese spot. It's slightly upscale with good effort on the décor and the prices will reflect that. The waitresses were very attentive and the food came out relatively fast. If you're planning dinner on weekends, you should reserve in advance. 30-minute to an hour wait is typical for walk-ins during peak hours. The lamb skewers and cauliflower tempuras were my favorite. The duck is average. Fried snow pea leaves and mapo tofu are the dishes you must get. The tofu in mapo tofu is so silky soft that it feels like they make them from scratch. Please beware that their menu tends to be changing over time. It's possible that they no longer serve some of the dishes in the pictures you see on Yelp and Google.VERDICT: Good Chinese option for a not-too-often big family dinner“

The warmth and hospitality of the owner and his personal engagement with guests reflects a commitment to excellence that is truly commendable. It is located inside Lotte Plaza Market.Must try: Goat dum biryani, chicken lollipops“

“Wonderful experience every time. This was our second time and the experience was amazing each time. Small but cozy place with plenty of delicious options. The service is also quick and friendly, whichs makes everything even better. We started with some steamed dumplings and followed with intestine over rice and fried egg, Sichuan beef noodles soup, and flounder with sour pickled cabbage noodle soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. To finish, we tried the black rice coconut milk dessert. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes next time.Parking: They have a parking lot and we always find a space right away.“

“Yu Noodles in Herndon is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the dishes. The steamed shrimp dumplings were a standout for me, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. They were an absolute delight to eat the freshness of the shrimp combined with the delegate dumpling wrapper made for a truly memorable appetizer.Don't even get me started on the seafood noodle soup. It was out of this world. The broth was flavorful with hints of seafood essence that elevated the dish to a whole new level. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the generous portion of seafood made each bite a heavenly experience.Overall, Yu Noodles is a must visit for anyone in the Herndon area. Whether you're craving dumplings or noodle soup, this is the real deal. You won't be disappointed by the delicious offerings at this fantastic restaurant. I will definitely be back!“

“David is the reason I had a great meal and experience. When I saw that the menu had changed and asked about vegan options, I was disappointed. David went way out of his way to make sure I didn’t have a boring, steamed veggie meal. He double checked all ingredients with the chef and I had the stir fried Buddha’s Feast with tofu. Sooo good. The ambiance was lovely and the food was delicious but the most impressive part if this visit was David.Dietary restrictions: Ask for a vegan menu“

“This is a fun place for a celebration! We rented a private karaoke dining room on a weekday evening. The music was fun with a good selection of popular tunes, and the room was the perfect size for a small group - well equipped for both dining and partying. The food was both unique and delicious - we particularly recommend the Qiqihar beef. There was also an excellent selection of cocktails and flavored iced teas. Shout out to our server, Patrick, who took good care of us and had a great singing voice to boot!Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for small children, as the karaoke screens would often auto-play songs with less-than-optimal lyrics.“

“The food is great! My friends and I ordered the all the soup dumplings, the panfried pork dumplings, the buffalo wing with hot sauce, and a few soup noodle dishes. Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty! The chicken wings were crispy, hot, and really well seasoned. Don't forget to coat the wings in the chili oil at the bottom of the bowl! My other favorite dish was the flounder with pickled cabbage noodle soup. It was so hearty and delicious. I do think the soup could have been more sour and there could've been more cabbage and fish. As for ambiance, the inside of the restaurant is very interesting. It's very open and has a cafeteria or mall seating area feel. The service is good! Wait staff are friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back or order food from Yu Noodles for take out!“

“Tasty Dumpling is a top tier quick dumpling place to get your Asian dumpling fix - I’d argue their dumplings are better than some fancy restaurants! Their steamed dumplings especially the pork are fantastic. We will be back often to try the whole menu. “We've been on the hunt for a quality Chinese restaurant in our area but being in Tyson to look around. After perusing reviews, we opted to check out Halal Hunan Village. Convenient parking, a relaxed atmosphere upon entering, and attentive staff greeted us. Seated comfortably, we looked at the menu before placing our order. Our dishes arrived promptly, beginning with a delicious hot and sour soup, followed by what seemed to be homemade chicken dumplings. A longtime favorite, the Singapore Rice Noodle didn't disappoint, featuring a delightful combination of meats and shrimp in curry sauce. Overall, everything was flavorful and satisfying.“

“Incredible find. Each person has their own cooker. I focused on the seafood, scallops, octopus and squid while the others were more meatcentric. Had a reservation for 9 and were seated immediately once everyone had arrived. Noon on a Saturday. Loud modern music seems to be the trend in most AYCE Hot Pot restaurants we've frequented across the country. Makes for a modern vibe. Definitely recommend this place.“

“The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. We ordered seafood and chicken soups. The seafood soup was good, but the chicken soup was ok. The noodles were overcooked, and the chicken pieces had a smell, so I didn't like it. I also ordered fried shrimp and scallion pancakes. Both the appetizers were good. Overall, it is a casual spot for soups and appetizers.“

“Chili Wok is so good that I came here twice in a row. For Day 1, I came with my boyfriend, and got the crispy golden mountain beef and sweet and sour chicken, both of which were so flavorful, and close to authentic Chinese food. Portions were great for being under $15. The server was really nice and offered to move our table, so that we wouldn't be close by the door on a cold day. The crispy beef is so much better here, and I used to think that my general chinese takeout place was the best. I came back here the next day, and got the ganghood chicken and chow mein. The chow mein was cut really nicely, and succulent supported by the sauce. However, if you want to get the ganghood chicken, I would recommend getting it by yourself as, when you bite into the chicken, it will have a palate-cleansing effect that makes you feel like you are going to another dimension, and may affect how you taste other foods. The ganghood chicken is nicely crisp, and I love how the flounder roll doesn't have a super fishy smell or taste, which made it feel like ordering a regular chicken spring roll.I definitely hope to come back here again.“

“Clean atmosphere with comfortable seating. An issue with orders not completing but the staff addressed IT & we received the items. Or only issue was there were no beef base broth options. “I love the single family sized burner tables to keep small children away from hot surfaces. I also like being able to sample two broths (spicy, mild). Our server was very family friendly and that is why I recommend bringing your family to this restaurant. This restaurant fills up fast so I recommend arriving early or late to beat the crowd. I think we got the last parking spot in Stryker mall. There were three guys blocking my car upon departure but they moved upon request. We came hungry and left very full.“

“Heard about the opening of this place on Chinese social media, so was very excited to try out the food with friends.Ordered chongqing style noodles, hot and sour sweet potato noodles, pickled radish duck broth rice noodles, clear bean jelly in chili sauce, fried skewers, steamed pork belly and sichuan style ice jelly dessert. All are tasty but the favorites are fried skewers (lamb and pork) and bean jelly in spicy sauce. The skewers taste just like the ones I had in china growing up. The chili sauce is pure joy of flavor - spicy, earthy and savory. Also love the QR code system. It makes ordering and paying so much easier. Will definitely come back to try more food!Parking: Limited parking behind and on the side of the restaurant.“

“I recently ordered pickup from here and was very pleased with what I received. My order was ready within 15 minutes and everything came out hot and tasted fresh. The spring rolls were a nice, cheap starter option. They were crispy with really good flavor. The sesame chicken was tender on the inside and with the right amount of crunch on the outside with a healthy ladling of sauce and some nicely cooked broccoli. Nothing extraordinary, but if you're looking for a new go-to takeout Chinese spot, I would highly recommend trying!“

“My family and I were heading west from DC after a long day of sight seeing. We were on the hunt for Chinese food similar to what we had in TX.After looking at reviews for Peking Pavilion, we opted to try this place out. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces. They sat us within 5 minutes of arriving. When we ordered, our food was hot and delicious. It reminded us of home. It has been a difficult journey in finding an egg drop soup that really gave you a flavor punch. But this soup did just that. It had the right amount of thick consistency you would expect from the soup. The dishes were flavorful and contained the right amount of spice. We ordered vegetarian dumplings, which I highly recommend!“

“I have a love/hate relationship with this place. When it comes to events, everything is at the lobby once you walk in and it's filled with neon lights, a dimly lit bar full of many offerings of alcohol you can get, a few small sections for VIP for your friends, and usually a DJ playing their music. There's open karaoke as well but I don't know if people sing often in the lobby. So I have been here many times for my friends and even booked a room as well. Rooms are spacious and they do have pretty nice audio. But there is one thing that truly irks me every time I come here. So they have a touch screen where you can add your karaoke songs through YouTube or through their system but getting the videos to load is a pain. It's annoying to deal with because it skips to the next song in queue so if you are with a group of 5+ more people, it can be very stressful. The worst part is we asked the staff about it and they aren't really sure what to do about the connection. I mean they should really fix that because I'm sure it gets people upset. No one wants their song to be skipped. Aside from that, you can also hear the loudness from other rooms, I don't expect that to be an issue but it's noticeable on busy nights. If you do plan to go here, there's one thing I highly advise before going. Check their socials if they are hosting any event and call ahead to know about the room rates. The website shows their original flat rates for the room but in events, they raise the prices up. If you go in person, check the menu before deciding to put your money down. This place also adds gratuity to the bill so be prepared to drop down a lot. While I frequently come back here just to hang out with friends, karaoke is one of my favorite hobbies. Its never a good time when your song doesn't get played or you get charged way more than you should.“

“3.7.24 Location The restaurant is located in the King Farm Village Center and on the backside of Safeway. There is limited street parking in front. There is also parking lot across from Ming's with a walkway. Ambiance This restaurant is not dine in. There is only a small table for two and two separate chairs likely to be used when waiting. I got there early and ate at the table. They had Chinese music playing in the background. Menu -Weekday (11am-3pm) lunch specials include: mini spring roll, choice of egg drop or hot & sour soup, and 1 of 12 entrees. -They sell milk & fruit tea and toppings. Food -I ordered the lunch special sesame chicken and selected the egg drop soup. I also ordered a medium taro milk tea with boba. I appreciated that the food came out piping hot. It was actually so hot that I had to blow on the food, was sweating, and had to take my sweater off. It was my first time (to my recollection) having egg drop soup and I loved it. Spring roll was crispy. The sesame chicken and rice were moist. The sauce for the chicken was different, but still good. Taro tea was good and the boba had the perfect chewiness. The portion for lunch was generous especially for the price. Can't beat it. I only managed to finish half my chicken entree after eating my soup and spring roll. Service Good and friendly service. The owner's wife runs the counter and takes orders by phone and in-person. She brought my food out and when she noticed I didn't have the crispy noodle with my soup, she went to get it. I appreciated her attention to details. Helpful Info -Delivery within 2 miles with $20 minimum. -Closed on Tuesdays. Final thoughts I loved my lunch, fair pricing, generous portion, and friendly and attentive service.“

“I’ve been having hunan tasty for over 20 years now, usually once a month. I usually get delivery, and continue to be impressed with their delivery service, as the driver is really nice, even calling our phone if we don’t hear the doorbell, and dropping off the food on our porch with a smile. The general tso’s chicken here is really good, as well as their chow fun. Egg drop soup is great, although sometimes they make it a bit too salty. The crispy beef tends to be hard at times, but still has some good flavor. The lady who takes our order is pretty quick with the ordering process, using the phone number to help find our address faster. Very professional, and offers us great deals such as a free spring roll.Overall, I highly recommend Hunan Tasty.“

“A authentic Taiwanese restaurant! Would definitely come back again when I visit Maryland in the future. Lots of Taiwanese special food that many Taiwanese restaurants in US does not even have it on their menu, not to mention the food quality. Ordered Four-herb soup ($8.95), Crispy Stinky Tofu ($12.95), Oyster Pancake ($10.95), Taiwanese-style Meat Pie ($6.95), Fried chicken with salt & pepper (aka popcorn chicken $7.95) , Pork Xiao Long Bao ($10.95) and Taiwanese shaved ice ($10.95).All the dishes are good. Stinky Tofu is on the pricy side, but the quality is good. Oyster Pancake does have lots of oysters; good values. However, for those who are not from Taiwan, this dish is too alien for them to enjoy. I also enjoyed Taiwanese-style Meat Pie since I cannot remember last time I have it.. Xiao Long Bao is good but not particular stands out. Shaved ice is great too with lots of Taros but it's slightly pricy.Overall, one of the few decent Taiwanese restaurants outside CA and NY; look forward to coming back again.“

“I went to this based on a Facebook Foodie group recommendation. I concur with their assessment that this place is good.If you want no frills traditional American Chinese takeout, this is the spot. There are only two tables in there, so there's not really a place to eat at unless you have a quick lunch break or go solo.Prices are fair, portions are good, and food tastes great. We had tried 4 dishes: Singapore noodles, eggplant with garlic sauce, Kung pao, and lo mein. They were all good. Food was packed well.I like it. ??“

“The six of us (4 adults and 2 children) had a nice lunch. Although the picture shows the total as $121, the restaurant offered a decent cash discount and the total was brought to $110. Here are my thoughts on the dishes. The good: soup dumpling, sliced roast beef + tendon, braised soy sauce duck, 生煎包 fried buns, soy bean milk + fried bread stick, and Shumai. These dishes were really good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! The meh: Hainan Chicken with rice, noodle scallion, and Pork + bean curd. If you don't like heavy soy sauce then these dishes might be not be for you. Furthermore, the amount of oil in these three dishes were a tad bit overwhelming. The restaurant itself is a bit small so it wasn't exactly the most comfortable. However, the service was good and most of the dishes were great.“

“So this is a tiny place and honestly the BEST Chinese restaurant around. I LOVE everything here. The owner is lovely, the food is delicious. 5 stars for service, food and coziness. I once called them for delivery and I was out of their delivery area ( I am over 20 minutes away) and they made arrangements to deliver to me anyway as I called at a slower time. Now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today I ordered the rice noodle soup with chicken. The bowl was HUGE, veggies were fresh, chicken tender ....it did not disappoint!“
“Used to come here all the time. Since I moved it's out of the way. Was back in the area and tried to stop in. Was politely informed that they are take out only now.Few days later we were in the mood for take out and found them on the delivery app.The steamed dumplings and egg roles are head and shoulders better than our local place. The beef and broccoli was just like I remembered it. And the Tso's Chicken didn't disappoint. Will make this our default choice for Chinese take out.“

“Wow! I was impressed with this Chinese food establishment in McLean. Looking for Chinese style food Yelp again proved its value and the great ratings are well warranted though a bit dated. I generally find Chinese food to be a "craving" rather than a well planned meal but this food was so surprisingly good! Not too much sauce, great looking though sparse fresh vegetables , and noodles not soggy with oil, chicken thst was cooked to perfection. I was really really surprised and pleased. Oh, prices were incredibly reasonable. It's a tiny place with maybe 2 tables so definitely a take out place. Lack of vegetables and small dining area was the minus one star but for Chinese places this is a definite go-to! I'll be back!!“

“We tried a variety so much so they questioned us on our order. Duck was good, we got a whole duck which was de-boned brought out with items to make duck tacos. Then spring rolls were filled with soooo much meat it was insane. Not a fan of the short ribs, all fat no meat. General tso chicken was not good to our liking, some of the meat did not have quality chicken. Beef and broccoli was good. Shrimp and lobster was good. Son ordered duck General tso and was not happy with it. The whole restaurant was packed early Friday dinner so plan to get in early or wait. The trick with this place is not to compare to Chinese, this is Cantonese which is different tasting but offer similar items.“

“I wanted to try this place for a while once I learned of it and finally got to!I ordered the soup dumpling and the vegetarian dumplings this time (bokchoy and mushrooms). I had the steamed dumplings. The service isn't fast. They don't seem to have enough staff for that. But the lady in the front was very kind and patient when she accepted my takeout order. About 20 minutes, she told me.Thankfully, the store wasn't busy, so she got them out to me faster, and now I just have a question...Why don't they have soup dumplings as proper main course?! I got it as an appetizer, but I'd buy it as a main menu option. Maybe I missed it and will get it next time! The bokchoy and mushrooms... were honestly a huge surprise and unexpected... because they tasted good! I have never eaten vegetarian dumplings...because... WHY? But I am glad I tried it this time. I'll try the seafood ones next. The vibe isn't the best. It feels like one of those "hole in the ground" type joint that I always hear about on YouTube. “With the downfall of many Korean-Chinese restaurants in NOVA recently, Lee Hwa is a great addition. The menu, although a bit higher in pricepoint, is varied and creative, and all dishes are executed to a higher degree than the typical Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant. The tangsooyuk and yoonringi were delicious and fried well. The jjampong was deep in flavor and offered a variety fresh seafood like crab that enhanced the dish well. The mala noodles were also flavorful and the perfect level of spiciness. Service was not super attentive but we didn't really have any problems as we didn't need anything during our dine-in. We were accidentally charged for something we didn't order but the staff were quick and helpful in reimbursing us.“
