“One of the best spots in the DMV hands down. I wanted to check out the place for some time because I had never experienced Taco Tuesday for myself. Like it was just lingering in my head until one day I suddenly said to myself, " I should really try something new today ". And thus, here we are with a review. La Tingeria is a Taco Shop located in Falls Church. If there's one thing I will have to mention, the parking situation is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Why are there so many cars here? How can anyone park here? There's parking on the streets, the sidewalk but it's very limited. I'm not saying there are better options close to you but if you are briefly going in to pick up food, I think you'd be okay with parking relatively close by. I must have hit the lottery when I accidently checked Instagram or so on Tuesday. Saw a post from where their social media representative mentioned 5-9 PM for 2 dollar Tacos. That's amazing! I decided to splurge because why not right? After parking, I ventured inside. I think I must have been the first to walk in once it hit 5 PM, I was on a mission for sure. I immediately went to the board to check out all the Taco Items they had.. Birria, Chorizo, Hal Pastor, Carne Asada, ect... So many good options. I got 2 Birria Goat, 2 Birria Beef, 1 Tinga Chicken, 1 Tinga Beef, 2 Chorizos for my choice of tacos. I also paid for Consomme which is an absolute must if I'm going to dip my tacos in delicious broth. I also had to get a Mexican Coke too. The only downside was there was one that wasn't chilled so it was at room temperature. The Birria Goat/Beef were soft, tender chunks of meat that melted in your mouth with full bliss the minute you took a bite. Dipping it into the Consommé felt like a dream came true. I never experienced a wide array of euphoria after eating good tacos. The Tinga Chicken/Beef Tacos were okay but the meat kept falling out of the Taco and into the Consommé. It was good but I think I would opt for something else. The Chorizo tacos had a slight kick to them but not overpowering. I think with the Consommé they brought more of that saltiness out. For around 24 dollars, this is a match made in heaven. I think truly this is a place I will check out again for sure.“

“We went for a date here after my husband was looking for something close to Chantilly but different. Oh wow! The food was so fresh and hot and phenomenal! We love Indian food so tried the butter chicken tacos and masala burrito. The chips and salsa kept coming as quickly as we asked. I can not wait to return!“

“I visited this Tex-Mex restaurant with a friend some time ago, and we had a fantastic dining experience. The food was outstanding, served in the perfect portions with the freshest ingredients to create the best Tex-Mex cuisine in the area. The interior was decorated with numerous paintings and art, which made the ambiance bold, colorful, and authentic. The service we received was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking the best Tex-Mex food in town!“

“Came during happy hour, and was pleasantly surprised at the prices and options they had. Loved the frozen lime margarita (a must), with the chicken quesadillas and the guacamole and salsa to share with the table. Loved the pupusas, and the best thing about this restaurant is that the food is always fresh and hot! We loved the tres leches and the churros and ice cream.“

“The people here are just plain awesome and only their food outshines their awesomeness! We have lunch here at least once a week and El Fresco has never failed to deliver. It is Tex-Mex food made with the absolute freshest of ingredients. We swear you can taste the sunshine in the tomatoes used for the many varieties of salsa. Salsa that comes free with a huge helping of the best chips anywhere. We can vouch for anything shrimp having had both the shrimp quesadillas and the handheld shrimp burritos. Both of these are stuffed with fantastic shrimp and the very best of ingredients. (The burrito the winner of any we have ever had and we have had dozens!) All the proteins are of exceptional quality; pork, chicken, steak, etc.The nachos are in a category by themselves -- A delicious monster size helping which we swore we could not finish but oh, look -- we did! There is a terrific lunch menu which runs until the unusual hour of 4:00 p.m. which accommodates us workaholics who will suddenly look at the clock and realize lunch time has passed! We have not had anything of less than stellar quality in the dozens of times we have eaten here. The restaurant is always found in pristine condition as the manager personally takes the time to clean up on a regular basis; you can tell he takes pride in both the facility and the food.NVCC students take note: El Fresco is directly across the street from campus and it offers a 15% discount for students. Such a deal; we wish we were still in school! Please give El Fresco a try as the food is the best Tex-Mex to be found anywhere in the area.“

“Have been coming here for years, ever since they opened their first location around 2009 or so off Rt 50. Steve and his team do a wonderful job here consistently putting out quality food at a reasonable price. If you're looking for Tex-Mex food look no further. They've expanded their menu in recent years and the new offerings are as good as the classics. Great staple and our family looks forward to continue visiting this place for many years to come and at their new locations too.“

The menu is a culinary adventure, offering a tantalizing array of tacos, each bursting with flavor and authenticity. Whether you're a meat lover, a seafood enthusiast, or a devout vegetarian, there's something for everyone here. “We love Guapo’s and come here often. Wait times are long but sometimes you get lucky. The drinks and food are delicious. However I had my first bad experience with a waiter this weekend. I paid the bill with my card and was going to leave a cash tip, the lady saw me select “no tip” and told me “tip is not included” …. I know how tipping works and it should never be excepted but appreciated. It left a sour taste. Especially given we always TIP well. Made me not want to leave anything at all. Very unprofessional!“

“Qué rico! ? This Mexican food is absolutely divine! The flavors are so vibrant and authentic, it's like a taste explosion in my mouth! The tortillas are perfectly handmade, the meats are tender and juicy, and the sauces are rich and bold. And the presentation? ¡Es una obra de arte! ? Every dish is a masterpiece, a feast for the eyes as much as the taste buds. I could eat here every day and never get tired of it. The service is also top-notch, friendly and attentive. ¡Viva la comida mexicana! ?? Five stars isn't enough, this place deserves a million! ?“

“Great authentic local taqueria that doesn't break the bank. Love their burritos, the original and California one. I'd chose it over Chipotle any day. The first time my coworkers and I went to dine in, we caw boxes of fresh avocados coming in. This is an authentic and great joint that uses fresh ingredients.“

“Although it was mostly empty when we visited on a weekday evening, the venue and convenient location are appealing. Friendly staff and fair prices, what's not to like. Being first time here, and not knowing the regular portions and size of the chicken, we ordered the whole chicken family meal with 3 sides. It was much more than we could handle. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! We changed our mind at the last minute, and decided to eat in. Can't say it's the cold temperature, but the chicken was cold to the touch for some reason. Maybe it was the extra piece we got. Regardless, it's worth a trip, and will visit again when I have a craving for Peruvian cuisine.“

“We stumbled upon Taco Rock one day while shopping and went for lunch. About 5 hours later we went back for dinner! If that doesn't tell you how great this place is, I don't know what will. The atmosphere is great! Everything from '80s videos to today's, fun to watch along with several TVs. Usually with sports. The music's not too loud that you can't have a conversation. The menu is actually quite expansive, more than just tacos.. They have everything from basic tacos to more complex and fusion type tacos along with tortas, quesadillas, and even a taco salad bowl. And The joy of this place is you can eat a few tacos and a soda for less than 10 bucks. You can also go way beyond that with one of their appetizers like nachos, taco pizza, empanadas and more. The tortas and sandwiches are quite good but run a little expensive. I've yet to try the fajitas but see them often and people seem to enjoy them. Other than that, I think we've had everything on the menu!I'm at the Falls Church location weekly, and you actually start to see a lot of the same crowd there. It's not unusual to see families there with the parents on the bar side and the kids on the restaurant side. As far as the bar, it seems quite busy, but I've yet to really connect with a bartender there. Some are friendlier than others. The rest of the staff, however, are absolutely amazing. Everyone from the cooking crew who smiles and laughs but is 100% professional to the friendly and fast expediters to Mario, the master of Quality Control ensuring your leal is not only accurate but beautiful to look at, he is rhe glue that keeps the whole place together. You can't go wrong with Taco Rock!Vegetarian options: The fried avocado, balsamic mushroom, and my personal favorite. The cauliflower tacos are amazing.“

“Great place. Lively atmosphere. Happy-hour vibes. Taco alternatives. But slow bar service. And I'm not a fan of ordering drinks from the main cashier. If I'm only drinking, then food service should be separated from drinks. Just my opinion to help speed up customer wait times.“

“We came Uncle Jalapeño for a Mother’s Day Dinner. Our host Harsh treated us very warmly upon arrival. We got complimentary chips and salsa, with fresh Guac, drinks- Jaljira mojito and water melon. All were excellent in taste and freshness. Our food arrived promptly and taste was excellent. We also enjoyed the fusion- Indian + Mexican fare at the restaurant. Overall a great dinner experience for our family.“

“Amazing food, great service! Loved it. I wish I lived closer. The beer came with the frostiest mug I've ever had. Lomo saltado was excellent. I've never had a plantain empanada before but I will now be looking for them at every latin American restaurant I go to. Didn't love UFC on every TV in the place. At the bar no problem, but it didn't fit the rest of the restaurant. Small gripe among an otherwise excellent meal. Definitely recommend Don Jorge's!Parking: Parking lot was a little tight as the restaurant filled up but we found a space upon arrival.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. Large kids menu and they all come with juice and ice cream.Wheelchair accessibility: Someone came in sitting in a wheelchair while we were eating and it looked like they could easily navigate to their table.“

“Happy hour was packed and I thought I’d be waiting for a while for my drinks and food, but that was not the case. My beer came amazingly fast and my tacos were served soon afterwards and were delicious. I was just looking for a convenient place nearby my hotel, but it was so much more than I expected. I look forward to going again.“

“We were pleasantly surprised with this place - good food, great drinks, wonderful service - what’s not to like! The food came out fast (in a very full restaurant on a Friday night, mind you!) and it was good. Unlike some other Mexican restaurants we’ve been to, the house margarita in this place is a very good one, not watered down and had a good bit of tequila in it - so if you want to relax with family or friends after work one night, this is the place to be, we certainly enjoyed it!“

“The first time I came here was to celebrate my birthday with a few co-worker girlfriends. The girls told them it was my birthday and they came out sang to me ,(I can't recall if this is where I got to wear a sombrero while they sang). We had a good time.... Since then I have visited a few more times as it is in walking distance for me. It's a great place if you want to sip on a margarita on the patio which has a sort of tiki bar vibe at night with the lights...or come watch a match while eating the tasty Mexican & El Salvadoran cuisines. I've tired and enjoyed the ceviche, fajitas, pupusas and margaritas several times. I did not care for the nachos but it was a to-go order and sometimes that can really make a difference when you get nachos. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. I recommend stopping by!“

“At Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Food, I savored the pork green chili burrito, a visual and flavorful delight. This mouthwatering creation featured a generous filling of succulent pork carnitas bathed in a tantalizing green chili sauce, crowned with an additional layer of the spicy green chili for an extra kick of flavor. The burrito's harmonious blend of tender meat and vibrant chili sauce left a lasting impression, thoroughly satisfying my taste buds. Accompanying this culinary masterpiece was a side of guacamole, boasting a chunky texture and made with the freshest ingredients. The guacamole's creamy richness complemented the bold flavors of the burrito, enhancing the overall dining experience. “I recently dined at Los Toltecos in Dulles Town Center and had a noteworthy experience. The highlight of our meal was the molcajete texano, a generously portioned dish recommended by our waitress, which was delicious and ample enough to satisfy two or even three people. However, be prepared to order extra sides like tortillas, rice, and beans if sharing among a group. The restaurant offers reasonable prices and benefits from the ample parking available at the mall, making it easily accessible. On the downside, the service was a bit lacking; our waitress didn't check on us as often as we would have liked. Despite this, the overall experience was pleasant, with the quality of the food standing out as a strong point.“

“The best hole-in-the-wall Mexican place in Gaithersburg. However the staff plays loud music on all the TVs, loud enough they can hear it from the kitchen... but as a customer you have to sit by those TVs and the noise is unpleasant. Meals here are fantastic, they just can't last too long on account of the noise.“
