“My husband I visited Casanel as part of our Anniversary weekend in December. It was our first visit to Casanel Winery and we really enjoyed the experience. Theresa and her team were fantastic! We had a lovely tasting of good wines, enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire and toured the facility. There are patios to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tasting room is spacious and a great event space. We can't wait to return!”

“Willowcroft is the most quaint, unassuming wineries in the area. They have a great variety of wine which are very unique in my opinion. For example, I don't normally like a steeled Chardonnay, but I love theirs and how refreshing it is. Same goes with their Riesling.One of the most surprising aspects of this winery, though, is the gorgeous view!”

The atmosphere is inline with the historical buildings in Leesburg. Everything was clean, including immaculately cleaned restrooms as well. Our server Eli was exceptional and provided top notch service. Our food came out hot and passed the eye test and taste was delicious. Crab bisque was loaded with crab meat and flavorful. Scallops with sweet potatoe pancakes were chef's kiss. My entree was lobster and shrimp pasta on angel hair noodles. Everything was very good and I will return. Last thing, I have to mention the music playing while dining was excellent.”

“My husband and I came here for the first time on valentines day. We were able to get two seats at the bar since we did not plan ahead for reservations. Our bartender was amazing and she really had her work cut out for her as reservation started coming in. Never missed a beat though and gave us great service.We were very lucky to meet the chef and owner Mario, who truly treated us like royalty. “Amazing experience, thoughtful staff who are attentive and listen. I ordered a 3 course meal with steak and cheese cake. My gf ordered a honey garlic chicken with amazing french fries. I asked for the potato early, and I got it. But then they accidently gave me another potato, I was told that I can enjoy another potato and that I won't be charged. At the end they gave a thoughtful 2 cheese cake for me and my gf. Great service and will come back to this place, and will be bringing my family here. 10/10”

“I had heard really good things about this amazing little Italian grocery which offers cured meats and cheeses, so I went with friends one day to see what it was all about…. Upon entering the owner greeted me and explained what he had to offer, many items were imported from Italy and DOP! He readily gives samples as he explains how very sandwiches and breads are made and how things go together to create meals and snacks.They have multiple rooms with various imported Italian goodies… One room is loaded with sweets, another has sauces, pastas, spreads, etc, another has breads – All are worth viewing! Then the cases up front have cheese in one and meats in the other and if you ask, he’ll let you sample!I took home some par-baked, frozen boule, which was imported. They explained how to perfectly finish it off in the oven and I have to say that it came out GREAT! Also took home some amazing tapenade and sun dried cherry tomatoes, which offered a great spread to the sliced boule! For dinner I took home a couple of their sandwiches to finish off in the oven as well: a Sopraseta and asiago and a porchetta and asiago and both were fabulous!Highly recommend stopping in… I can’t wait to return!!”

“Visited on a Sunday at lunchtime and fortunately they were able to seat us with no wait (total luck). Very quick and efficient service. We went with a couple of bottles of a Virginia microbrew and a 14" Sweet Heat. Very worth it (as hopefully the pictures convey). Parking can be a challenge in that part of town, but again, it's worth it.”

“We made our first visit to Brusters tonight, completely unaware that we had arrived right at closing time. My son went to the window expecting to check out the menu and be turned away, but the attendant was incredibly kind and served us anyway. “This was one of our best dining experiences recently. The food is beyond amazing! It’s the best pulled pork I’ve ever had, hands down! The service was great. Our server was very friendly. The owner was very social with us and welcoming to our 3 kids. He even gave them a quick “kitchen tour.” We will definitely go back, and if you haven’t been there yet you’re missing out!”

“This restaurant is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. The outdoor decor definitely screams old-school diner and the inside is a bit dark. I was in Leesburg for a work trip and this was conveniently located by my hotel when we walked in it definitely looked a bit rundown, and we were the only people dining in. But as I started to read the menu, I got high hopes since their takeout line kept growing and growing, and people started to enter the dining room as well. I will say my coworker started with a margarita and it was not enjoyable and was way too sweet. But the food made up for it! I had the vegetable fajitas and they were very flavorful, and the portions were huge. My coworker had the enchilada taco combo and tried a pupusa. He said everything was tasty. It was his first time trying a pupusa and he loved it!!! I can't forget to mention that the chips and salsa were very good. I could literally drink that salsa! The server was super nice and took great care of us the entire meal. I will definitely be back on my next trip and I highly recommend.”

“I'm a big time burger fan and really believe Roy Rogers has the best tasting burgers out of any fast food chain by a good margin. Their burgers are always super hot/fresh, juicy, and have an awesome taste. The fixings bar is also great since you can customize your own burger with a bunch of fresh options. Lastly, they have a more diverse menu than most fast food places (fried chicken, Mac and cheese, etc). Only wish they had a location closer than this to me.”

“I usually go to the Frederick Panera and I have to say this one blows that one out of the water! First of all, it’s super clean. No tables left unwiped, it smelt good and clean. But the food! 10x better! I usually get a cup of French onion and the caprese melt and what a world of difference. “I've gone here with my mother ever since 2013 and recently I've been going here more often, the people working here are friendly and the food is delicious. I prefer it over Chipotle to be honest, the chicken and tofu taste better and I like that the burritos are big, but they're not so stuffed to where they'll explode like a Chipotle burrito. The chips and salsas they have are also really good as well, I like that they come free with your food. The only complaint I really have is that the restaurant is pretty dim, but other than that Moe's is a great place to go to get good food.”

“Stopped in to Spanky's Shenanigan Pub on a Sunday for brunch. The place was packed - there are two sides to the pub - from what I can tell, the left hand side is for smokers - the reason I state that is there was a gentleman smoking a cigarette holding the front door open for an elderly couple - he then went back inside and to the left - still smoking a cigarette. I opened the door to that side - and it smelled like cigarettes. Yuck. So I went over the other (right) side - which did not smell like cigarettes. There was one booth open - which I snagged. My server arrived promptly and presented me with both brunch and regular menus. I ordered the "Belmont Ridge," which is sausage gravy over your choice of bread - I opted for their buttermilk biscuits - served with hot, crispy breakfast potatoes, and your choice of meat (I went with bacon). I added two eggs over easy - and coffee and water. Coffee and water came out first. Standard coffee - nothing interesting about it. My food order came out shortly afterward. Most of the food was hot - the sausage gravy, was lukewarm. You could see the bits of sausage in the gravy - but, as with so many sausage gravies - the gravy is under-seasoned - and it really doesn't taste like sausage. I added black pepper, salt, and Cholulu hot sauce to the gravy to amp it up. The potatoes were hot and crisp - but they too needed seasoning. The eggs were cooked properly and the bacon was crisp and tasty. Checking in with the Yelp app secured me a 20% discount off of my bill. A paper bill was brought to my table on a small clipboard - so no Apple Pay option - at least by default. Service was good. #SpankysShenanigans”

“Stopped in for breakfast and caffeine one morning at Trinity House Cafe & Market. Parking can be a bit of a challenge here. There is no parking in front of the business. There is parking around back and down the hill in a public lot - which requires a short walk back up the hill. Trinity House Cafe is located in what looks like it used to be a residence. I ordered their version of Lox & Bagel and a small cold brew - with a splash of Half 'n Half. I sat in the front room to eat my Lox & Bagel. There are 6-7 small tables in this room. The Lox & Bagel was tasty - I wished they added more capers and fresh dill. The cold brew was excellent. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. #TrinityHouseCafeAndMarket”

“Stopped into Chefscape for a pre-movie dinner. Colombian’s Place is really excellent food! Husband and son both had the Bandeja Paisa. They are foodies, and couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. Portions were huge and beautifully presented in a wooden plater. I am not a foodie but I am picky. I had the CP salad and the cheese arepa. Both were delicious. The chicken seasoning and house dressing for the salad were amazing. The cheese arepa was light and yummy. The (I assume) owner came over not once but a few times to check on us and tell us about the food. It was obvious he really, really cared about our experience and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. It is so rare to see that these days and it made a great experience over the top excellent. Add to the fact there was also good music playing at the venue, all made for the perfect chill, delicious Friday night dinner! Will totally go back!”

I had half a chicken all dark meat with yucca and rice. The chicken was pretty good. Flavorful, juicy, tender. The yucca was the perfect texture, crispy exterior, soft interior. The rice was okay. The sauce both white and green could use some work. I’ll say, their sauce doesn’t come close to super chickens sauce.We dined in. The place was clean. The server was nice. They checked on us multiple times throughout the meal.They have a extensive menu. I’ll definitely come back to try out the other items.”

The beer was amazing and we loved the different vibes of all the spaces: downstairs taproom vibe, upstairs cozy lounge gaming vibe (with a bathroom), tent shade and greenery vibe with views of the house that General Marshall WWII Secretary of Defense lived in post war), and the sunny brewery game vibe front.Honestly we had a great time and def would recommend it for anyone who flies into Dulles and their room isnt quite ready or just wants to explore. “What a great Breakfast spot we found on the way to Dulles Airport. Clean and bright, and the food was great. We had the croissant breakfast sandwich special, which was huge and delicious. We also had the Southwest Omolet which was fantastic. A really great experience. We will go out of our way to go here again next time.”

We were thirsty and hungry. Our server was on top of his game. We quickly had drinks and an appetizer on the table. We tried the shrimp battered with the blooming onion mix. They were yummy. Our entrees came out perfect. Filet Mignon and Lobster were amazing. Baked potato was fresh and delicious. Asparagus was cooked exactly as it should be. My daughter had the Queensland Pasta. She enjoyed it immensely. Sadly, there was no room for dessert. We will definitely be back. Thank you chef for cooking us a great meal.”

We went with a couple of bottles of a Virginia microbrew and a 14" Sweet Heat. Very worth it (as hopefully the pictures convey). Parking can be a challenge in that part of town, but again, it's worth it.”

Lori even had backup vases for our florals when ours were leaking, talk about being prepared! All things considered, we could not have asked for a better rehearsal dinner experience and we have Vino Bistro to thank for that! “Best coffee in town, I watched the barista's work for more than 10 minutes and they know what they're doing. An amazing full-flavored coffee was made with precise actions and spotless technique. I highly recommend this coffee shop for tasting. They also serve wine and beer. Two thumbs up”

“Stopped in to Spanky's Shenanigan Pub on a Sunday for brunch. The place was packed - there are two sides to the pub - from what I can tell, the left hand side is for smokers - the reason I state that is there was a gentleman smoking a cigarette holding the front door open for an elderly couple - he then went back inside and to the left - still smoking a cigarette. I opened the door to that side - and it smelled like cigarettes. Yuck. So I went over the other (right) side - which did not smell like cigarettes. There was one booth open - which I snagged. My server arrived promptly and presented me with both brunch and regular menus. I ordered the "Belmont Ridge," which is sausage gravy over your choice of bread - I opted for their buttermilk biscuits - served with hot, crispy breakfast potatoes, and your choice of meat (I went with bacon). I added two eggs over easy - and coffee and water. Coffee and water came out first. Standard coffee - nothing interesting about it. My food order came out shortly afterward. Most of the food was hot - the sausage gravy, was lukewarm. You could see the bits of sausage in the gravy - but, as with so many sausage gravies - the gravy is under-seasoned - and it really doesn't taste like sausage. I added black pepper, salt, and Cholulu hot sauce to the gravy to amp it up. The potatoes were hot and crisp - but they too needed seasoning. The eggs were cooked properly and the bacon was crisp and tasty. Checking in with the Yelp app secured me a 20% discount off of my bill. A paper bill was brought to my table on a small clipboard - so no Apple Pay option - at least by default. Service was good. #SpankysShenanigans”
