“I have been to this location a couple times and I have always been treated like family. The bartender and servers are alway on top of your orders and drinks making sure everything was perfect. I love the Tyson location and will always be a regular here.“

“This place is now CLOSED PERMANENTLY. The owners wanted to focus on their other restaurant (El Establo in Woodbridge). I was there for their last party before they closed, It was PACKED and so much fun!! Probably at least 150 people inside and on the deck. See video. I will miss this place and the amazing staff! “I had the pleasure of dining at Swahili Village Restaurant and I must say that the food and my experience was amazing. The food tasted so good and was accompanied by African music. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were happy to share their knowledge of the dishes and made sure my dining experience was just perfect. I loved the decor and the drinks were fantastic. I really am lost for words, apart from the fact that you absolutely have to eat there or you will miss out on something exceptional.“

“We had a blast here last night at trivia! It was five rounds of 11 questions and I loved how they covered many different topics. I also appreciated using a phone app to play, which definitely helped with hearing questions when the restaurant was packed and quite lively. For food, I got the blackened mahi-mahi and brussels sprouts. The mahi-mahi was scrumptious, tender and smoky from the grill. It was served over yummy cilantro rice and creamy/zesty lemon butter sauce. Needless to say, I wiped my plate clean! The brussels sprouts was also stellar - everything crispy in it from bacon to shallots to the actual brussel sprouts. It was served with bleu cheese, which rounded out the crispy heartiness with just the right amount of funk! We also sampled through a few of the delicious beers on tap from kolsches to sours. Service was prompt and great, too. What a fun time - hope to come back soon!“

“Came here with friends for dinner. Our reservation was somehow lost between systems, but the staff was thankfully able to find us a table in the lounge. Not ideal for dinner with 4 people, but we made it work!Food was decent, dessert was the favorite course by far. We did the restaurant week menu which was a great deal. Would be interested in coming back for a table in the dining room and to try other items from the menu.“

“Can't believe I haven't reviewed Wingos yet. When my wife is out with friends, their hot wings and seasoned fries are my go-to. You can't go wrong with Wingos. I always order delivery, and it's always warm and arrives quickly. I would recommend this place over any other if you're craving fries in DC!“

“first of all, the owner is probably the smartest person I know, but watch out, she also has a sick aresenal of pranks. all the food is going to be amazing because she won't allow anything substandard to be served. service was great for our large group and there's lots of value priced products and specials. and if you want to watch rugby, look no further. “I run an alumni club, and Clubhouse is my go-to space for events of all kinds - whether we're hanging at their weekly trivia nights, throwing singles mixers, or even having "fireside chats" with authors, the staff at Clubhouse is always accommodating, kind, and professional. The atmosphere is fantastic, never feeling close or crowded, the food is delicious, and, again, the staff could not be better. A wonderful venue for groups of all kinds.“

“My favorite place in the broader neighborhood! The staff are friendly and attentive! The food is consistently good - everything on the menu is good, my favorites are the ribs platter, Gouda burger, steak and cheese, wings, blackened seared tuna app, and great fries too. I, and other friends, go out of our way for the hand-dipped chicken fingers (a staple pickup for take out since I live nearby).In addition to great selection of beers, they always have NA beer selections too, which I get when coming with the kids. They love the nachos, wings and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Seating indoors is all high-tops, so low-tops are on covered patio. Good kids menu w/crayons. Never a problem with tables during non-peak hours, but if a big game or something, do the best you can.“

“I came here with a friend to play darts. While I didn't get food I did come here to grab a drink and check out the area... The Cue Club is a sports bar and pool hall if you enjoy going with a group of friends for a night out. I think it has the essentials of a good sports bar. Draft beer, good food ( I haven't tried it but the bulgogi sub looks good ), and pool, darts, and foosball for people to play. Service wise it took a minute for me to flag someone down to order some beer but beers did come out quick once I did confirm my order in. I don't know if the cocktails are good but we'll have to try again another time. For what I came here for, darts are in a separate room like the pool tables, and it's very spacious. The darts were available if you chip in 5 dollars, play all you want really. I honestly had fun learning how to play cricket but it is a long game. Although I didn't win against my friend this is enticing enough for me to play more when my friends are available. It's also across the street from O'MyChic so familiar territory for me.“

“Came for dinner after checking out the Black Lives Matter Plaza. Food was good. I was very impressed with the shrimp and crab dip. Just wish they gave us more! lol. The crab cake did not disappoint either. Although we could have used more dipping sauce. And the sweet potato casserole was delish.Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The place was busy when we arrived but it was dinner time and happy hour so I could see why. But we had no problem getting a table.“

“The food was so good I couldn't wait to have a bite (or a few). The espresso martini is one of the best I've ever had. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was crispy and crunchy, leaving me craving for more. The Rigatoni Vodka Pasta was good but the garlic bread paired with it was stellar. Monday night is trivia night which was very entertaining.“

“For the prices, good food and decent selection of beer. The building is a little run down and the owner is a complete goofball. He saw me with my tablet and told me I better not be trying to hack into his network. I was just reading the WSJ online. Weird dude, has some social skills issues. Hence my rating of 3 for atmosphere. The rest of the staff are pretty pleasant. Not a bad spot if you can avoid the owner.“

“I attended a Sunday brunch that was curated specifically for a group of 25 ladies. It was a pleasure to patronize a woman minority- owned establishment in Adams Morgan. Straight forward bar menu of fried foods, but the wings, calamari and truffle fries stood out for me. Will definitely be back to enjoy the Sunday Bottomless mimosa brunch. Great atmosphere and music, the bathrooms were CLEAN, and the staff were welcoming and capable. Drinks were flavorful and reasonably priced for the area. I will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Excellent options for acai bowls and whole fruit smoothies, veggie options for the quesadilla as well“

“Kilroys is a family restaurant that been here forever. It's casual and has an old-fashioned ambiance highlighted by heavy, dark, wood decor and hundreds of posters, photos, signs and magazine covers from decades ago, back to the 30s or 40s. The food is of good, but not great, quality. No connoisseurs here. Despite finding a sign at the entryway they they were short-staffed, our server was prompt, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately the appetizer we ordered , Crispy Fried Calamari, arrived late, barely warm, and soggy. We complained and the server gracefully removed it both from our presence and the bill. Everything else was delicious. Prices are reasonable ($50 - 70 for 2 without alcoholic drinks)“

“A fun happy hour spot in a prime spot in Arlington. Decent seating area to pair with the various arcade games you can play (requires $), primarily pool/billiards and pinball.The whole staff was superb from top down. There’s few who you’ll find are more kind than Mel in the service industry.The only caveat I’ll say is it’s essentially self-serve — you have to order your food/drink by the bar. But the swift service more than makes up for it, as I never had to wait more than a minute for my drink.Parking: There’s a paid parking garage right by the restaurant. There’s also streetside parking during certain hours, not sure if it costs money.“

“There are two entrances- main entrance is on the main parking lot side of the Eden center (and then you go down stairs). The other entrance is on the back, next to a gym, with less parking (and less light at night) but a door that's easier to find.“

“If you are looking for a quick lunch Proper 21 is a good option. There is plenty of seating so the wait was short. They menu had a bunch of different options so something for everyone. I had the salmon burger that I would highly recommend. The burger has limited filling and great flavor. The restaurant also has TVs so a great option to sit at the bar and watch the game with friends and family.“

“I'm passed the club days; however, I stopped in on a quite Tuesday night and it was empty but the late night HH sign lured me in. It was a handful of people but the guy behind the bar was cool AF and def made for a good night. His service wasn't like the club vibe since he came on the deck to ask if I wanted anything. All I know is he's from Nebraska and super friendly guy. I'd be back to visit just to pop in for a couple drinks.“

“At least based on my lunch experience, I'm surprised WJ's Tavern is rated so lowly. I loved the salmon wrap...and they even asked how we wanted our salmon done (and mine was perfect medium-rare which is my usual test of the kitchen's attention to detail). It's a great wrap with wasabi slaw poised against the strong salmon flavor with other delicious bits thrown in...but lunch also includes a wide choice of excellent sides (mine was the fine side salad and my companion's elote corn was great, too, served on two short corn cobs). Service was friendly, if a tad slow (it was an off-hour lunch) and the tavern is a cozy place to hang out. There's a great central TV bar with some hunky slinging drinks and working hard. The sour cherry pie and ice cream for dessert was also delicious. Cheap, no; but I'd go back for that salmon wrap ASAP.“

“Popped in here with friends to watch football and grab dinner. It's a narrow space under Tiki on 18th with TVs covering almost every wall. We were all pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was, since we were just expecting standard sports bar fare! We shared four items: lumpiang Shanghai, mumbo salmon lettuce rolls, spicy pork sisig, and the jojo pansit. Everything was incredible. I loved how crispy the lumpiang was and the mango chili dipping sauce was great. The sauce on the lettuce rolls was SO good. We wanted to get the beef pares but they were out, so hope to try that again in the future. I'm glad I didn't know it was associated with Tiki on 18th before because I would have missed out on some delicious food. I stopped going to Tiki on 18th because they are predatory with the 20% included gratuity, by only showing you a final total on the card reader and automatically prompting for additional 20% tip. All that to say, I'll make an exception for The Game because the waitress reminded us about the included 20% which I appreciated and the service was excellent.“

“I arrived solo and somehow felt out of place. My drink was amazing. Ordered 12 wings with 2 different flavors but I couldn't tell if they were actually 2 different flavors because they tasted the same. Neither was the flavor I ordered. Then again, I'm from Memphis, TN home of south and flavor is a must. According to reviews I was excited to go but unfortunately it was not a friendly environment in my opinion. My drink was good though.“

“Well “The Hood” is out and about as Spring is getting officially closer. Had lunch here and it was ok. Good bar atmosphere loud and exciting. Food: good had a la Cubana (possible spelling error). The gang with me had various food. Sorry for no pictures the hood was hungry. Service: good people checking on you as you go. We apparently threw the server off when she asked at the end if it was separate checks and we said yes. She had some difficulty with it 1/2 hr later she finally got the bills right. Atmosphere: if you like the bar type scene a great place to go. Well as the weather gets better The Hood will be out and about again. I’m not here to judge just looking for great food awesome service and a great atmosphere. Remember to be good to each other because you never know when The Hood will be in. Be kind to each other and keep adventuring!“

“We had our son's birthday party here last Saturday. Hard to argue when he (aged 8 now) and 12 of his friends had a great time.Doyle's Outpost has something for everyone, and apparently, a lot of adults come here sans kids, which seemed odd to me, but they do have a full bar and pretty good food. Anyway, there are a lot of arcade games, including the fan favorites. The laser tag arena is really cool--two levels.Since this was a party, we had a table. The party area is just a common area with a bunch of long tables, so you won't have a ton of space dedicated to your group (other similar venues have individual rooms).We had pizza and mac-and-cheese for the kids, and some good appetizers for the adults.The staff were great about being attentive in refilling the pitchers and bringing out the food. They were also on top of the times for our laser tag games, giving us plenty of time to round up the kids.So, yeah, pretty good experience, and most important of all, my son and his buddies had a blast.“

“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“

“Just a great place to have a relaxing and informal meal. Good food, swift service, unpretentious atmosphere. Lots of TVs tuned to sports channels if that's your thing. If not, you can choose a table away from the bar. Decibel level won't be a problem.“

“This place is very spacious/open and is great for kids/babies! I came with a group of 5-10 for brunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of space for all of us. Food was great and lots of drink options. Service was nothing to write home about, but I wouldn’t expect super quick/attentive service for a beer hall and it wasn’t too bad.“

“Cute place, loved the decor and all of the lights. the atmosphere was great and the bartenders were super nice. we sat at the bar and they made sure to ask your name and gave you theirs. checked in often and made sure we thought everything was good. there were a ton of options for food which was great, especially for picky eaters! the only negative I would say is it is a small place. obviously the size is out of the restaurants control but it made the space feel a little tight. I would definitely go again and recommend for anyone in the area who wants something simple and good!“

“This Ethiopian restaurant has authentic flavors and vibrant spices and is the best Ethiopian food in the area. The injera served with a variety of savory stews creates a delightful blend of textures. The filet mignon "yishint tibs" is a must-try.“

“Service was really good! I went late and they were out of some of the food I was looking at, but the bartender got me some delicious sushi! They served food after midnight, so I was grateful. The mojitos were super strong though! People were singing karaoke, dancing and having fun. Parking was limited.“
