“The food was amazing! Very delicious, huge portions, interesting take on texmex. Great job ??Service was friendly, but unprofessional. First they made us wait for a booked! table for a half an hour, they they forgot to bring sides… hope it was only our experience, and they usually do better ??♂️“
“Going on a Friday night was a mistake. We joined the wait list via their website but were informed when we arrived that they don't use that system anymore. The wait was long and there's no waiting area so everyone was standing in the way of staff walking by and people trying to get through the door. The food is exactly the same as their former restaurant (which is to say good quality but not true Tex-Mex) and drinks incredibly overpriced.“
“Came during happy hour, and was pleasantly surprised at the prices and options they had. Loved the frozen lime margarita (a must), with the chicken quesadillas and the guacamole and salsa to share with the table. Loved the pupusas, and the best thing about this restaurant is that the food is always fresh and hot! We loved the tres leches and the churros and ice cream.“
“Service was excellent. The food isn’t bad either. I need to give them a try because I got something out of the ordinary. If you end up getting fries like I did, they’re terrific. A chimichanga is next on my list. It’s definitely worth the stop.“
“I’ve ordered food from Surfside about three times. Mostly after going to bars and lounges in DC. Yesterday, wasn’t as crowded at 2am, when I decided to pick up food. I ordered the Cabo San Lucas- steak tacos, plain shrimp tacos, and a Maui taco. The tacos tasted great after you spent the night drinking and dancing. I spent $41.64 on 5 tacos. You have to order and wait outside or either in your car for your food. That sucks when it’s 40 degrees outside.“
“We all enjoyed our meals here on our first visit. Two of us had burritos & one had fajitas. The grilled steak in my burrito was perfectly seasoned & tender. This is also the first Mexican restaurant where they asked how my husband would like the steak cooked for his fajitas! The chips are delicate & devine. My only complaint is that my $18 margarita on the rocks was 90% rocks. I got about five sips out of it. Next time I’ll order a frozen.Parking: The lot shares a space with a convenience store, so it was pretty full.“
“Salmon salad was very good and fresh~! The salmon was not fully cooked and asked to cook it again. The house gave me more salad with fully cooked salmon. And all waiters and waitresses were kind and professional. Will recommend to friends and family.“
“We got the large frozen margaritas they are huge and delicious and well worth the price! We also got the tres leches which is one of the best in the dmv area. Highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a great margarita or great food and atmosphere!“
“The food at this place is out of this world and probably one of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. The service was impeccable. Our server Flora could not be more attentive and sweet. We will definitively come back next time we visit our son in college.“
“Great hole in the wall spot on the second floor. Food is delicious - not too oily so tacos don't get soggy. Great range of menu options. The steak, beef, chicken are halal.Dietary restrictions: The meat (chicken, beef) is halalParking: Strip mall with lots of spots to park“
“I've been coming here for what 3? 5? 6 years now? I always get the same thing and it's always perfect. There's one thing can be said for amazing food, it's a completely different thing when talking about amazing consistency. I've never, ever had a steak quesadilla or sangria as amazing as they make them here. It's simple, steak, cheese, and tortilla. It's so simple, but the flavors and taste are simply unmatched. Perfection. Service is just AMAZING. I think the phrase comfort food gets thrown around quite a bit, but I make a point to come 2-4 times a month because as I described to my partner, the food just evokes emotion. Reassurance, acceptance, warmth, winning, and just contentment, when I get a steak quesadilla from Guapos on Wisconsin Ave, I just know whatever is going on in my life, it's going to be okay. The sangria is unmatched. I tried various sangrias around D.C. and this is definitely my number 1. Their Tres Leches cake is also a treat when I'm in the mood for dessert.“
“I had previously reviewed this restaurant on yelp and the review has somehow been removed. Sad, because it was a 5-star review with a photo of the amazing birria torta that I ordered. It was perfectly toasted on the outside with a soft middle like it should be. And the flavor was amazing. That was my first visit. I've been back several times for takeout and dine in and I have never been disappointed. Last weekend, I met a friend for dine-in and was disappointed to see the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. I want to stand outside waving a big sign to get people to stop in and see what they are missing. This last time, my friend ordered a taco salad -- all the ingredients were so fresh and the taco shell outside was perfectly crispy (muy importante for the salad). She and I both ordered a margarita -- which we both found to be pretty terrific. And the service is pretty outstanding. I hope this doesn't wane as the success of the restaurant increases. The staff is friendly and helpful and obviously engaged in the success of the business. I really do think the location is a deterrent. I've seen more than one restaurant fail in this location in the last few years. The inside is festive and welcoming and is a sharp contrast to the outside which is an easily-missed corner lot with a vape shop. Don't let the outside fool you -- just go! And support the presence of this full service dine-in restaurant in walking distance for Potomac Yard neighbors!“
“Im so excited about this place, i was devastated when Dos Amigos closed in Springfield, found out this morning out of desperation of why it closed that Dos Hermanos was opened with the same amazing Management from the Springfield location and immediately rushed over for lunch. This is what I have been missing in my life and Im so excited as everything is just as amazing from the food to the customer service. This is my now go to spot and I will be a repeated customer with all my family!!!!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in the DMV. Food is always amazing as well as their frozen margaritas. The atmosphere is always beautiful. Candles and fresh flowers on every table for dinner. We drive 50 minutes just to go here. If you've never been I'd highly suggest going asap!“
“Stopped by for a mini brunch. The mimosas were amazing and great to get during brunch only $5 each. I decided to be sat on the patio since it was a 67 degrees out. My server was amazing, she provided a great amount of recommendations. I wasn’t super hungry, so I went with the shredded chicken taquitos with chips. It tasted so good, the flavor was super satisfying. The salsa for the chips also was tasty, perfect texture to it aswell haven’t good salsa like this in awhile. I highly recommend Urbano!“
“It's new, it's good, it's worth visiting. [fin] Ok, jk jk, I'll write more. Let's cover food, service, and ambiance in that order. Food: Solid to very good. Of the el arriero ny steak, lomo saltado, and molcajete ... the steak and molcajete win. Sadly the lomo saltado, while quite decent, doesn't hold a candle to Super Chicken in Tysons. Ok but here's the important bit: THE CHIPS. The chips are great. Not only are they thin and crispy, they're well salted AND served with both WARM and COLD salsas. I never thought anyone would do as well as Uncle Julios for chips, but ... well, Guapos does. Service: Ironically we've been twice and we had the same server both times. And she was excellent. Super friendly, quick with requests, and checked in frequently. Not only that, they clearly operate as a team and several folks came by during the meal to ensure drinks were filled, napkins were in order ... and shockingly, as we were wrapping up, someone wiped the crumbs off the table. I mean that's a white-tablecloth steakhouse thing... right? Apparently it's a Guapos thing too. Ambiance: Fun to hip. The first time we were there was opening week and the live band was both entertaining and, uh, loud. Look, we're fogies, we complain about this err ... stuff. The second time we went it was much quieter and we were able to enjoy our meals AND our conversation. The decor is pretty great, the table arrangement spacious, and the place was packed, nevertheless. I'll close out with parking. It's a big lot, and it gets crowded ... but we found spots nevertheless on a busy night. Looking for Mexican? Yeah, I'd go here again. No arm-twisting required.“
“Great food and great service! Love the chip and dips they served. I also love how servers were making sure that we had everything we needed. And when we asked for more additions toppings, they didn't hesitate to bring more! Definitely recommend the fajitas with steak! My new favorite!“
“I went there for a second time with my family to celebrate a birthday and the food and customer service was amazing. Ivan has been our server the two visits and he goes above and beyond to ensure our visit is one of a kind. Ivan was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the menu. He kept checking on us to make sure everything we needed was being met. Highly recommend this restaurant and please ask for Ivan when visiting as he will make sure your visit turns out to be an outstanding one.“
“Discovering this spot was a pleasant surprise during the time I lived in DC. Offering authentic Mexican cuisine, it provides a taste of Mexico right in the heart of the city.Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, adding to the enjoyable experience. Additionally, the restaurant maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere.“
“The food was amazing. My seafood burrito was the best i had ever had. Service at this restaurant was top shelf. Our drinks never went dry, and the wait staff were very friendly and amazingly efficient. If I lived in this area, this would be my go to restaurant.“
“Only negative, really, was that the service was a little slow, but it was Monday. Still, no mistakes on what we ordered and everything came out quickly, hot, or cold as appropriate, and looked nice too.I haven't had enchiladas in years, and gave theirs a shot. Ordered the Cozumel Enchiladas and they were very good. Nicely caramelized cheese on the plate and the beans and rice were also very good. Excellent Mai Tai and a full pour on my beer. This place is large and has a sports bar vibe but the food a drinks are above average so don't worry about getting your money's worth here.10/10 would enchilada again“
“Great food and drinks! Love bringing friends and family here and the service is always great! Especially Brady! I don’t think I’ve ever had a better waiter than him. He is the greatest of all time! Will be back soon!Vegetarian options: Plant Based chorizo tacos and Cauliflower tacos. Can even make Vegetarian FajitasDietary restrictions: They will cater and accommodate to most if not all dietary restrictions.“
“We were pleasantly surprised with this place - good food, great drinks, wonderful service - what’s not to like! The food came out fast (in a very full restaurant on a Friday night, mind you!) and it was good. Unlike some other Mexican restaurants we’ve been to, the house margarita in this place is a very good one, not watered down and had a good bit of tequila in it - so if you want to relax with family or friends after work one night, this is the place to be, we certainly enjoyed it!“
“We had an amazing experience at Los Tíos Grill in Crystal City! The food was delicious, with generous portions that satisfied both our appetites and cravings. The entrees and drinks were truly phenomenal - a perfect blend of flavors that left us wanting more.During our visit for a work event with family in tow, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. They were friendly, understanding, and treated our dietary needs with the utmost care, as if we were their own family members.I highly recommend Los Tíos Grill to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in the area, do not miss the chance to visit this gem of a restaurant!“
“I love this place so much, I had to come back. The atmosphere is nice and you can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in. The food was prepared quickly both times I came here, no complaints. I had the Shredded Beef Burrito with chili sauce and the meat was juicy, tender, and flavorful. The chili sauce wasn't too spicy so I could still enjoy the notes of other flavors in the sauce. The seafood burrito was also delicious with cheese sauce on top. Appetizers and drinks were 10/10. Everything here tastes great, I highly recommend.“
“In my humble opinion, Plaza Azteca is one of the best Mexican/TexMex restaurants in the greater DC area. From the people, service, delicious food options and cleanliness, we always leave happy. Recommend the enchiladas platter, tacos and salads. Hope you enjoy Plaza Azteca as much as we do!“
“This place is in the middle of an alley. Came in wanting a burrito but got confused by the “WDB” acronym special with random ingredients so I called an audible and got Steak Chimichuri, later realized that meant “Well Dressed Burrito”. The music was chaotic. Food was great. Vibes were immaculate. 10/10 would do “
“An amazing small burrito joint! Definitely call it a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. They don’t have a ton of options, but what they have is absolutely delicious! Not a place where you dine in, but there is a park nearby where you can eat.Vegetarian options: They have the traditional Latin American vegetarian optionsWheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. They have stairs at both entrances, but this shop is doing what it can with the limited space“
“Place has a very chill environment. The cook is very sweet and polite. She made the food in prompt timing. She also served our food. My son and I went on a Thursday noon, it wasn't busy at all. Very quiet if you'd like to sit and eat in peace. Food was good, menu layout could improve perhaps add pictures to it to make it easier for people who aren't familiar with Latin food. A little more lighting and a little background music could be convenient too:)“
“El Tio is probably one of my favorite places in the area! Amazing food + the kindest staffMy partner and I go to El Tio at least once a week. I either get their bean and spinach enchiladas or their mushroom quesadillas, with the spicy guacamole. Never disappoints :)“
