“Great Breakfast Taco!Visited this place on a Saturday around 11:30 AM. There was a line and we waited about 25 minutes before ordering. Once we ordered, we got the Tacos relatively fast ~5 minutes.I like that the menu is not too broad. These are breakfast tacos, all of them with a soft flour tortilla. They serve 8 different Tacos. I did not know if the tacos were big and I was hungry so I went big and ordered 6. In the end I was able to eat just 4 of them.I think the salsa is something they can improve. I am not fan of the creamy salsas so the cilantro was meh. The charred tomato was just OK.If I come back I would do just 3 and it has to be: 956, Tio Willie and 513.Vegetarian options: There is a Bean Taco: El Frijolito. Not that good.“
“The food was amazing! Very delicious, huge portions, interesting take on texmex. Great job ??Service was friendly, but unprofessional. First they made us wait for a booked! table for a half an hour, they they forgot to bring sides… hope it was only our experience, and they usually do better ??♂️“
“Service was excellent. The food isn’t bad either. I need to give them a try because I got something out of the ordinary. If you end up getting fries like I did, they’re terrific. A chimichanga is next on my list. It’s definitely worth the stop.“
“This past weekend I hosted a birthday party at Mission Navy Yard. The staff was fantastic, providing my group with a private room, bartender, bathroom, and outside patio area. Mission Navy Yard responded to all emails and questions promptly and we experienced no issues throughout our experience. Would definitely recommend!“
“Visited this place based on reviews. The place was very small with 4 tables and 8 chairs to sit and eat mostly functioning as a take out place/cloud kitchen. The food was great but not amazing. Their tacos had good options and the nachos were really nice.“
“Great place to stop for some delicious Mexican-style food while out and about touring Capitol Hill! Portions are large, staff is friendly, and lots of menu options are available. There are only about ten stools for inside dining but is convenient enough to grab as take out and picnic someplace along the hill. Taco salads, quesadillas, and pork tacos are amazing!“
“Happened past on a Tuesday at dinner time. I am so thankful we stopped in. The food was delicious, portion sizes were great, and it all came out hot. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the staff from start to finish were friendly and professional. This will be a favorite location and I can't wait to share with visiting family and friends.“
“Uno Más is an authentic Mexican Kitchen. The service, food, prices, and hospitality is superb. The food is true, authentic, Mexican cuisine. While the atmosphere is not that of a 5 star restaurant the food, and drinks surely makes up for it all. 10/10 I recommend anyone who love Mexican cuisine to try Uno Más!!“
“I've been coming here for what 3? 5? 6 years now? I always get the same thing and it's always perfect. There's one thing can be said for amazing food, it's a completely different thing when talking about amazing consistency. I've never, ever had a steak quesadilla or sangria as amazing as they make them here. It's simple, steak, cheese, and tortilla. It's so simple, but the flavors and taste are simply unmatched. Perfection. Service is just AMAZING. I think the phrase comfort food gets thrown around quite a bit, but I make a point to come 2-4 times a month because as I described to my partner, the food just evokes emotion. Reassurance, acceptance, warmth, winning, and just contentment, when I get a steak quesadilla from Guapos on Wisconsin Ave, I just know whatever is going on in my life, it's going to be okay. The sangria is unmatched. I tried various sangrias around D.C. and this is definitely my number 1. Their Tres Leches cake is also a treat when I'm in the mood for dessert.“
“Great food and great service! Love the chip and dips they served. I also love how servers were making sure that we had everything we needed. And when we asked for more additions toppings, they didn't hesitate to bring more! Definitely recommend the fajitas with steak! My new favorite!“
“This neighborhood gem is still running strong! The service is great! The food exceeds expectations! They really did make us feel like family. Who knew this was still possible in 2024! PS, Best spot for people watching on the patio btw. Highly recommended!“
“I've been a loyal customer of Las Placitas for over two decades! I've followed them from their old location to their new location here in Navy Yard. Their food never disappoints and it's a place you can come to whine down. Don Jose is the face of the restaurant and he's one of the main reasons I always come back! I couldn't recommend this place enough“
“My teenage son is rarely able to eat out at restaurants due to severe food allergies. We were thrilled at finding that he could safely order a delicious meal from Surfside Taco Stand! Many thanks to the staff and cooks who made his evening really special! @ Surfside Taco Stand - The Wharf - 33 District Square SouthwestDietary restrictions: The staff was super accommodating to my son's severe food allergies! They asked perceptive questions, double checked things, and gave good suggestions. So happy and grateful that he could eat safely! He ordered the plain chicken tacos with lettuce and cherry tomatoes. It also came with plain rice and a lime slice. [Allergies: eggs, dairy, soy, treenuts, peanut, sesame, legumes, wheat]“
“Only negative, really, was that the service was a little slow, but it was Monday. Still, no mistakes on what we ordered and everything came out quickly, hot, or cold as appropriate, and looked nice too.I haven't had enchiladas in years, and gave theirs a shot. Ordered the Cozumel Enchiladas and they were very good. Nicely caramelized cheese on the plate and the beans and rice were also very good. Excellent Mai Tai and a full pour on my beer. This place is large and has a sports bar vibe but the food a drinks are above average so don't worry about getting your money's worth here.10/10 would enchilada again“
“Such a great neighborhood gem. The food is good and the atmosphere is cute and quaint. My only gripe is that on the website, it states the restaurant closes at 9pm/9:30pm. However, it’s more like 7:30pm! It always closes early for many different reasons and if you walk in to dine at 7:15pm, they’re looking at you crazy or May tell you that you can only order takeout. I wish they’d just change the times!“
“Parking wasn’t bad, but I might have gotten lucky. Worst case scenario, you park a 4-5 minute walk away. Was sat immediately. The place is HUGE. Don’t think that it’s not worth going if you don’t have a reservation.By huge, I mean 3 expansive floors, an outdoor seating area, and an indoor rooftop deck.I sat with a friend at the table furthest from the rooftop entrance. Cool view of the strip outside, and close to the bar.The food and drinks came out alarmingly fast. I had the crab and shrimp quesadilla, which quite literally came out in 4-5 minutes. The quesadilla had a good meat to cheese ratio (40:60) and was portioned well. It wasn’t soggy, which a lot of quesadillas have problems with, and paired well with the tomatoes, jalapeños and guacamole that came on the side. 10/10The chips and salsa that came on the house were standard. The chips could use seasoning, and the salsa was the watery type, which isn’t my favorite. 5/10The strawberry daiquiri was delicious- light, flavorful and fresh. 10/10The lemonade (with lime added) receives the same regards. Fresh, the right amount of tartness and sweetness. 10/10My friend’s review stats:Quesadilla- 8/10Margarita on the rocks- 10/10Chips and warm salsa- 9/10Service was efficient.“
“Went there with a group of friends late at night, when almost all other restaurants in the area were closed. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was tasty. They had great music playing and the ambiance was nice. Would definitely recommend this place!“
“Discovering this spot was a pleasant surprise during the time I lived in DC. Offering authentic Mexican cuisine, it provides a taste of Mexico right in the heart of the city.Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, adding to the enjoyable experience. Additionally, the restaurant maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere.“
“This place is in the middle of an alley. Came in wanting a burrito but got confused by the “WDB” acronym special with random ingredients so I called an audible and got Steak Chimichuri, later realized that meant “Well Dressed Burrito”. The music was chaotic. Food was great. Vibes were immaculate. 10/10 would do “
“Had their signature burrito. It was delicious. Cost was about $10; a couple of days before I paid $15 for a really terrible one from the DC food trucks. My daughter had bubble tea from a different spot in this food court that was also way better and cheaper than food truck. My conclusion is skip the food trucks and head over here and you will do much better.“
“My husband and I decided to give this place a try after a day at the zoo and we are glad we did. The owners and bartender were very welcoming and gave great service. The food and drinks were fantastic. Happy hour is from 3pm until 9pm. They have $5.00 margaritas and mojitos along with other adult beverages available at great prices. There is also a nice selection of food during happy hour for $10.00. The regular menu is also very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed for about 3 hours chatting with the owners and our bartender. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable, almost like being at home. If we lived in D.C. this would be our regular spot. We will definitely be back every time we visit D.C. I highly recommend this place!“
“Came on a Friday night and I can say this location is the best one I’ve been to so far. The Dominican manager is the best! I requested to change my drink mid-meal and he was so accommodating. Definitely recommend this location, food, vibes, and service is 10/10!“
“Mixed bag: dinner food was great (best Guac I've had in DC actually and birria de res soup was filling and bountiful). The service was also very good and attentive, and the music in the patio was perfect. I really liked a lot about the place, so it was a bummer that the patio is littered with trash and looks pretty scrappy -- it and the bathroom could use some regular TLC. If they got someone to keep the space spruced up, their food was good enough to compete with other popular Mexican spots in the city. Second what everyone says about the habanero sauce. Delish!“
“Wow...I just stopped by bc I had the use the restroom and out of respect just ordered something light like queso n chips and woah it was sooo good like the best queso ive had since NYC the waitress were so nice too and the dj was Kool too I enjoyed the little time I had and the the queso was real cheese as a cheese fan I give it 11 ⭐ out of 10“
“The chicken sandwich I had here was outrageously good! Was good enough that I will go out of my way to stop by here next time I'm in DC. Also the owner was really great. I look forward to meeting him again. We had a lovely conversation while I ate my super tasty chicken sandwich. I got the butter crispy fried or something like that, I can't remember. Next time I think I'll just get a straight up fried chicken with lettuce tomato and mayonnaise and I'm sure it will be awesome!“
“Was there last night celebrating a birthday. We're 1st timers and it won't be my last. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for a Mexican restaurant, The drinks (Margaritas) were EVERYTHANG & Happy Hour goes until 8pm(How awesome is that ?). The service was great and the food was delicious ?. And It's conveniently located near me. The best part was, because it was a large party, The server was kind enough to let us split the check(More tips for him ?). Overall everybody left satisfied. I will be back Margaritas... Don't worry ?♥️??“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Los Caballeros for their weekend brunch and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the owner himself. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a laid-back vibe, perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Now let's talk about the food. Los Caballeros proved to be a pleasant surprise. They were able to accommodate options for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. But what truly stole the show for me were the drinks. I highly recommend trying their pitcher of tamarindo margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and definitely hit the spot. They also had other options like mimosas and bloody marys for those who prefer a classic brunch drink. The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our meal and even gave us some recommendations for their signature dishes. It was evident that he takes great pride in his restaurant and wants his customers to have a memorable experience. To end our brunch on a sweet note, we decided to try their dessert. And let me tell you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.Overall, my experience at Los Caballeros was exceptional. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out for their weekend brunch or even for a regular meal. The owner and his team have truly created a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for their customers. So next time you're in the mood for some delicious food, head over to Los Caballeros and treat yourself to a delightful brunch. You won't regret it.Parking: This area of parking gets very busy due to being right beside the area of the Capitol.“
