Joel and Jason put their entire heart and soul into my meal, it was literally the best WH meal I have ever had. Additionally, the service was spectacular!! This is also a very clean location. It was my first time visiting your establishment and my first impression was the waitress Tabbi Englehart greeting me at the table, she had a smile and was very helpful and offered suggestions we should try. “Had to make a stop downtown for business and grabbed an early dinner right before Christmas. It was our first time trying this spot. “I came here for a work event and we were directed to the event space. I got the short rib and a couple others got the salmon. Both were wonderful.Drinks were a little slow but heavily poured and made for a lively evening.The night was made by the service given by Rylee. “This is truly one of the better restaurants in Richmond! The ambiance was lovely, funky, quirky. The music was just loud enough. I cannot say enough good about the service and food. From the hostess to the serving staff our interactions were stellar. They were attentive without being intrusive. They anticipated every need and addressed every concern professionally and promptly. The food was outstanding. I got the swellington, my husband the rabbit. Both surprised and delighted us! Not only that, but they brought us two complimentary glasses of champagne in honor of our anniversary! All in all a truly outstanding experience. We highly recommend L'Opposum!“

“Dinner at Alewife was the highlight of our five-day visit to Richmond. First off, it was a relief to get out of downtown Richmond with its huge empty parking lots, boarded up storefronts and deserted streets. The historic Church Hill section, with its 19th century row and other houses and interesting looking restaurants and shops, was such a pleasant change. Parking near Alewife was a bit of a challenge, but we quickly found a spot just a block away.The restaurant itself has a fascinating vibe, part friendly neighborhood spot and part disarmingly upmarket dining room. You just knew the food would be interesting, and it was. We started with a gin and tonic and a non-alcoholic beer. The menu is fairly short and apparently changes nightly, or at least frequently.I would never in this world think that I would enjoy an appetizer of raw oysters, bright green pickle juice, creme fraiche and fresh dill. But it was an amazing flavor combination. My partner's appetizer was equally interesting -- lox on thick, toasted rustic bread.As mains, we had the arctic char, with grilled carrots, and the skate, both perfectly prepared and delicious. Service throughout the meal was just right -- friendly, attentive but not overly so. Our charge for two, including tip, was around $150, well worth the price. Thank you for a great meal experience!“

“Came here with a group of four on a Saturday night. Quick service and the server was very knowledgable of the ingredients and current offerings. The Ceasar needed at least twice as much sauce than what was given. Everyone enjoyed their mains and there's no complaints there. The menu on the night we went didn't have a vegetarian dish, obviously substitutions could be made, but vegetarian focused dishes are always a plus“

“We had a delightful experience all around. The dim lighting, candle light, live piano music, and perfect sound level made for a great ambiance. The food was also very good. We started with the baked Brie, then got the salmon (was a special) and the beef bourguignon. All of it was delicious and came in perfectly portioned sizes. The service was fantastic too. The server was helpful and super attentive. They recommended a beautiful wine to go with our meal, and our water glasses were filled throughout the night without having to ask even once. We will certainly be back! I recommend making a reservation as it filled up pretty quickly.“

“This place is a hidden gem. The food was wonderful. I truly was not expecting it to be that good. Everything was nice and hot. I didn't have to ask for salt and pepper or extra syrup. “Food is always great. Service was a bit slow this time but hasn't always been in the past. Called in advance to ask if desserts were made in a Peanut free area and they are not. Was then charged a $15 cake fee for bringing in outside dessert. Will come back again but not for celebrations as they were unwilling to waive the fee due to allergies.“

“Stopped in for lunch. It was very busy as the hostess was dealing with two large groups. She apologized repeatedly. I understood and was patient (I'm never in a rush to rush others). I ordered the mini burger, chicken tenders and fries for my two children. My wife had the hangover burger with a lemon drop martini. I had the fried fish Gripper (it was huge). The flavor and crust was perfect. They have a great beer selection. There were no IPA's on tap so I had the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. Our server, Taylor, was amazing and attended to every requests quickly. Thank you for being awesome!“

“My date and I decided on the newest ML Steak location in the Chesterfield Town Center on a rainy, romantic Wednesday evening. These guys absolutely hit it out of the park. We sat at the bar where we were promptly served by our bartender Tom. We could not have been given better service: Tom explained the menu with both detail and passion to the point we were nearly hypnotized at the end. It’s the kind of professional level service that you rarely see anymore but we experienced it here. Tom would even transfer Felicia’s beer into a frosty pint glass if it were sitting too long. These little details truly make the difference. I ordered the Beast Burger and I may have had a better burger in my life but nothing comes to mind right now because this thing was a juicy culinary masterpiece of bison and boar meat. Felicia gave me some of her fried smoke half chicken and it was equally amazing. Chicken smoked in house and given a special blend of spices. We couldn’t have been happier with the total dining experience here at ML Steak, including the ambiance. It’s the type of restaurant experience that has become rare today but needs to be experienced and celebrated. Bravo! We will be back!“

“Had my husband's birthday here tonight. Very nice and accommodating staff. Service was excellent and the food was wonderful. We have a couple of vegans in the family who were able to have delicious meals which is rare, and we never take for granted!! Highly recommend.“

“We are visiting and picked Dinamo because of yelp reviews and it met its ratings. Quite small it's best to have reservations which we didn't although our party of two was accommodated. We enjoyed two pasta dishes after the pepper and mozzarella appetizer. In truth, all the servings we large and we could have shared one pasta dish and the appetizer. I had tagliatelle with marinara which was good while my husband had the special lamb meatballs and fettuccini- in my opinion the meatball dish and red sauce accompanying it was better than the marinara. A lot of diners had white pizza which may have been a better choice. All in all it is a place I'd return.“

“First off.....this place is tiny so no parties over 4.....but there's also a nearby park if your group wants to order and eat there. I've done this on a nice day before. The variety of options here is outstanding. I've tried several sandwiches here and have never left unhappy. Most recently I had the Manny, the Teacher, the Scribe and chicken Salad. I would get them all again but the menu is so vast I'm always compelled to try something new. Most recently Kiki took care of us and was great suggesting something new. “I love this cart! It's right on the VCU Health campus M-F during lunch hours so it's convenient for me to go on a quick run while I'm at work. The people are friendly and the food is awesome. I always get the chicken salad, sesame noodles and cheese wedge. Generous proportion for less that $9. Highly recommend it!“

Everything was literally so amazing - the waitstaff were incredibly kind and helpful navigating our food allergies, the bar tender made me a delicious mocktail mojito, and our food was so so fresh. They are in fact a scratch kitchen, and everything tasted like it was grown out back and picked just for our meals! We can't wait to bring family and friends here! My one teensy complaint is that it gets a little smoky when they cook, as there doesn't seem to be much ventilation, but that would not stop me from coming back. The decor is cute and the ambiance is also so peaceful :)“

“What a hidden gem! I live so close to this place and never realized it was here, but I have been really missing out. The food and drinks were so delicious and the prices are not bad considering the quality and uniqueness of the items. Our server was amazing, he was so cool and checked on us frequently even though it was a busy Saturday morning. I also love that you can make reservations - pretty rare for a diner-type restaurant, so that was a big win. Cannot wait to eat here again and try something new.“

“Dinner with a friend at The Savory Grain. Early reservations for two and were seated immediately. It had been a long time since I had been out so we really wanted to talk over drinks before ordering so I checked with our waitress that this was ok. We did not want to tie up her table if a turnover was needed. She encouraged us to relax and go at our own pace and asked us to let her know when we were ready to order since she did not want to keep interrupting us. A couple of happy hour beers in we ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, shrimp and grits entree, and the meatloaf entree. The beer was nice and cold, the food was absolutely amazing. The appetizer arrived long enough before the entree for us to enjoy it. The entrees were generous enough that we both brought home leftovers and mine became my husband’s dinner. I could not have asked for a nicer evening out.“

“Been a while since i visited 821 Cafe & today I decided to come in for lunch.I was immediately greeted and quickly placed my to go order. She made my drink right on the spot and the food was ready within minutes.I decided to get a Greek salad as I usually am here for the breakfast! They did not disappoint and the size was great for the price. I got the small portion(pictured below). It's very fulfilling, smells and tastes fresh!“
