“First time ordering. We have the cheese steak, potato salad, cheese cake, and red velvet cake. My wife picked everything up and said the peyote were super nice. The cheese steak was fantastic. Not the run of the mill seasoning. It was just loaded with awesome flavor. Potato salad was good, nothing to compare to how amazing the flavoring on the meat was but still good. The cakes were really good. Red velvet was just what you want. It was very tasty and not sickeningly sweet. Cheese cake was really good. My father was a baker, and I'm a bit of a cheese cake snob, and this was really good (would get again and again) like the other cake, it was not overly sweet, perfect texture, which is tough to do. Let's go back to the cheese steak, get it, and go get it asap. It is just great. Overall, nothing to fault everything was really great. We will be regulars for sure“

The chocolate almond croissant from Sub Rosa is the best one I've ever had..period. Also, the ham and cheese croissant and the tart was incredible. “My niece and I first stopped by Bell Greek for lunch while in town visiting my mom in the hospital. We were treated very well. The following week we were in need of a last minute catering for my mom’s service and we immediately thought of Bell Greek. They were able to fulfill our order with a quick turnaround. They delivered our food on time to the church and set up everything for us. Everyone raved about the food. It was absolutely delicious. Very nice local neighborhood spot has kind of an outdoor theme however you can down inside but it’s limited. Staff is super friendly. Placed an order for garlic bread and a pizza for my wife and I to share half pepperoni service recently, considering the only two people on shift first let me say that cheesy bread were extremely good garlic, super cheesy crust very tasty. The pizza was excellent love the crust fresh tomatoes, Gucci gooey cheese. I think this pizza is better than Xorge or Cary Street and that’s a hard crowd to beat you go $14 for a midsize prize not a bad price serves to make sure you get the cheesy bread.“
“The service is top notch at FP. I got to taste three different types of iced black teas because the staff want to make sure I pick my favorite. I also got an apple turnover that tasted quite good. Despite the store being a little pricey, it has charging outlets available on the wall. So many people brought their laptops to chill and work here. It also has a free public restroom that's comfortable and very clean. Highly recommend working here, I'd definitely come back here if I'm around the area.I hope the staff can be more proactive to shut the doors because it was really windy that day, and it became chilly indoors.“

I'm not a coffee drinker so I actually got a hot chocolate, but they have lots of espresso flavors and it's clear they take coffee very seriously. I did get an apple turnover, which was delicious! “I used to come here almost every day while I was at VCU and lived down the street. It was one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. I just went back for the first time in 15 years (after moving away from RVA). “This place has been on my bucket list of places to try for what feels like forever. I'm happy to report it was worth the wait. Lamplighter is busy street corner with a tiny little parking lot in front. They have a separate entrance for you to place your order. When you place your order they ask for your name no additional order number is given. This proved to be a little confusing as there were two Jason's at the same time and they received the wrong drink. I ordered an iced lavender latte, breakfast burrito and a sweet potato muffin. Everything was really good. The breakfast burrito tasted homemade and was accompanied by a fresh salsa that was great. I will flag that this cafe is Vegan friendly as they have several vegan/ vegetarian options on the menu. Overall I really enjoyed my coffee and food and look forward to trying this place out in the future!“

We came here when they had opened, but I think that they were having a slight delay with getting their items out of the oven. The pastries themselves tasted fresh and not too sweet, and I feel like the best time to go is when they're open first thing in the morning; I also feel that their items do sell out quickly.
