“Tony's NY Pizza is a slice of heaven for those in search of authentic, mouthwatering pizza and a myriad of Italian delights. This isn't just a pizza shop; it's a taste of New York's pizza tradition with a side trip to Italy, all without leaving Fairfax. With great service and a casual, welcoming vibe, Tony's invites you to kick back, relax, and prepare your taste buds for a journey they won't soon forget. Our pizza pilgrimage began with the Margherita Special, a testament to the power of simplicity. With fresh tomato sauce, sumptuous fresh mozzarella, a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of basil, this pizza is a love letter to Naples. Each bite is a reminder that when it comes to pizza, sometimes less truly is more.Next up, the Sicilian-style Tony's Special took us on a detour to the bustling streets of Palermo. Loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions, this thick, square-cut masterpiece is as hearty as it is delicious. It's the kind of pizza that doesn't just fill your stomach; it warms your soul. For the carnivores among us, the Meat Lovers pizza is a dream come true. Pepperoni, sausage, ham, beef, and bacon come together in a carnivalesque celebration of all things meat. It's a meaty marvel that's so good, it might just convert vegetarians back to the dark (and delicious) side. But Tony's NY Pizza isn't just about pizzas. The Antipasto Italiano is a colorful cavalcade of Italian staples, served with a side of garlic bread that's worth writing home about. The Linguini Alla Posillipo, with its tender clams, mussels, squid, and shrimp in light marinara, transports you to the Amalfi coast with every forkful. And for those who fancy a creamier fare, the Fettucine Mediterraneo, with its luxurious combination of jumbo shrimp, scallops, and crab meat, is like a first-class ticket to culinary bliss. Not to be outdone, the Chicken Parmigiano and Chicken Brunello offer a poultry paradise, while the Ziti Pie turns traditional pasta on its head in the best possible way. The Steak & Cheese Sub is an homage to the classic Philly tradition, served with non-traditional trimmings. While not my favorite of our visit, it's still a solid choice.Dessert at Tony's is the cherry on top of an already fabulous meal. Whether you choose the airy Tiramisu, the classic Cannoli, or the innovative Donut with cannoli filling, each sweet treat is a perfect punctuation mark to a satisfying meal.In essence, Tony's NY Pizza is more than a pizza shop; it's a veritable treasure trove of Italian and New York flavors, served with a side of warmth and welcome. So, if you find yourself in Oakton with a craving for something truly special, make your way to Tony's. It's an experience that's sure to leave you saying, "That's amore!"“

“Great service, outstanding ambiance, fantastic food. Visited for the first time recently with a party of four and sat out in the courtyard. We started with arancini, bruschetta, and truffle bread. The arancini are medium sized, you get 5 and they are awesome. The bread starters were good but not as mind blowing as the rest of the meal. The highlight was my entree, ricotta stuffed gnocchi. I would really find it hard to order anything else here, they are that good. Teardrop shaped and pillowy served with a creamy sun dried tomato sauce. Sooo good. I was contemplating between the gnocchi and blue crab bucatini. Both are probably a win.“

“Came here for a birthday, had a reservation but still had to wait 15mins, not a huge deal but be aware. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Had to flag our waitress down every time I needed anythingThe food: steaks were cooked to perfection and were some of the best I’ve had in the dmv. Rockfish was exceptionally good. Cesar salad was fantastic.Busy place prices are reasonable for what you get in quality of food but definitely not cheap. If you appreciate a quality steak I would highly recommend Ozzie’s. I will be trying it again.Parking: Parking wasn’t hard to find but may need to walk a block or two.“

“Another wonderful meal at a truly lovely restaurant. The staff is very cordial and helpful and the food is tasty and well-presented. I had the salmon trio (smoked salmon, salmon tartar, and salmon roe) for an appetizer and sea bass for my entree. My husband had the wonderful onion soup for an appetizer and the crab cake, scallops, and shrimp for his entree. He was able to get the dish minus scallops as he is allergic to them!! Sample desserts and coffee rounded out our meal. A very pleasant evening all around.“

“Last night we spent a wonderful evening at Bonaroti’s for our anniversary. It was our first visit, and we throughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing, the service was excellent!I use a mobility scooter, and I was very nervous about my ability to access the restraunt itself. However, I need not have worried, the restraunt had a portable ramp and the staff had obviously assisted wheelchair users many times in the past. Several able bodied men spotted me both entering and exiting the restraunt without making me feel as if I was disturbing everyone (believe me, this attitude is not always the case). Also, Bonaroti has a wheelchair accessible restroom as well.Thank you to Sergio and his staff, we will definitely be returning customers!Wheelchair accessibility: Last night we spent a wonderful evening at Bonaroti’s for our anniversary. “Gregorio's Trattoria has become a regular in our take-out dinner rotation. Food is consistently excellent, orders are always ready when expected, and folks that work there are very nice and engaging. Great pizza, chicken parm, shrimp fra diavolo, bruschetta, carbonara, salads...everything is really good. Portions are large enough for two meals, so it turns out their prices are very reasonable...and they have been sending me $10 coupons every time i order guaranteeing I come back. Highly recommend.“

“Perhaps the best Italian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere and service were both excellent. Drinks were refilled regularly and the food came out very quickly with exceptional quality. I would recommend Zeffirelli to anyone seeking fantastic Italian food.“

“We came here for the first time last week, and loved it so much that we came back today! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Shout out to Yaseen, who provided top notch service and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be our go-to sub spot. We had the Milano and the California cheesesteak. Got extra Italian dressing on the side to dip my Milano sub in and it was perfect!“

“This is a very unassuming restaurant tucked away in an old shopping center. Doesn't look like much inside or out, but the food is fabulous. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, from appetizers to desserts. Wonderful wine list. The tables are well spaced for comfort and privacy the atmosphere is relaxed, and you never feel rushed. There is no kid's menu. Opened for dinner only.“

“Casual dining heaven...what a find! This cozy spot is close to Clemyjontri playground (my nice and nephew love) ticked all the boxes for a laid-back dinner. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff managed to seat us promptly, and their friendly demeanor added to the inviting atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food - simply delicious! The pasta selection was impressive, and the build-your-own-pasta option was a hit with our group. And for those craving something classic, the chicken parm didn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of Peroni 0.0 - a perfect choice for a non-alcoholic drinker (like myself that evening). In summary, if you're in the area and craving some comfort food in a relaxed setting, this spot is a must-visit. We'll definitely be returning for more pasta perfection. And as always, go Caps! #bubblytip: Great spot to go with children“

“I'm in town for business and decided to try a local Italian restaurant near my hotel. The food was good considering I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to authentic Italian food. Bread and pesto dip were fresh and the pasta and (colossal) meatball were pretty good (mine are still better - LOL)! Mike was the server, along with another person in training (didn't catch his name). Both did an excellent job and were super friendly! :-)“

“As many of you (me when I come back and read this later) are aware, my wife and I take our date night locations seriously and a few nights ago we went out on a limb and decided to try Roberto's on our most recent outing. You're always taking a risk when you go to a restaurant when you're not able to pronounce half of the things on the menu. Some might say that's a sign of authenticity...some might say that's a recipe for embarrassment. Either way, we gave Roberto's a shot and, overall, we're glad that we did. I'm not an Italian expert by any stretch of the imagination, but even my uneducated palate could have told you that this place was miles better than 80% of the other Italian restaurants I've been to in the past (Olive Garden included, I'm sad to say). From the outside, Roberto's is a pretty cool looking place. The restaurant is pretty small, but the large Italian flag waving out front gives away its location pretty easily. We made a reservation online pretty easily.Overall, we had a really good experience here, but walking in almost ruined it for us. When I had booked our reservations, I did not anticipate bringing our children with us (both under 2). When we couldn't find a baby sitter, we called an audible and brought them along which I thought would be fine because they're literally like 20 pounds combined. When we came and checked in we were almost instantly greeted with a pleasant, "You know we don't have high chairs, right?" Which I didn't know (not sure how I would have). There was a minute or two of adjusting because we had two extra "people" with us who didn't take up chairs, but we were then pretty quickly led to a booth.I had made a mistake and maybe I was just getting a taste of Italian hospitality, but I was a little unhappy about that first impression. Nevertheless, from that moment on everything got much better. The main dining area of the restaurant is essentially a large room with tables laid around the walls and a big serving section right in the middle where the waiters grab supplies and things. That was a cool layout that I hadn't seen before, it also meant that we were helped pretty quickly. We had our water within a few minutes and fresh bread only a few minutes later. Not unlimited, but unlimitedly delicious. After a few minutes of translating the menu my wife and I ordered. I went with the Fettuccini (because it was literally the only thing I could pronounce) and my wife ordered the gnocchi. Within a few minutes, my wife's food was out and my pasta had made its way to the center island thing in the restaurant. From there, the owner of the store (or manager?) put the pasta into a giant wheel of parmesan and personally created the alfredo sauce in front of us while explaining the process, that was pretty cool. The food itself was incredible. Both the gnocchi and the fehttuchini alfredo were wonderful. The portions were a little smaller than I would have liked, but enough to leave you feeling like you were satisfied. We ended the meal with a little espresso and chocolate gelato which, I kid you not, is the best I've ever had. While the hospitality coming through the door wasn't great, our servers were wonderful the whole time. They were attentive, helpful and kind. I was also impressed to see that the owner/manager/woman in charge made her way around to each table to check in on folks and make sure they were enjoying their meal and have a short conversations with them. That was a nice touch that, honestly, hasn't happened to me in a long time. The last thing I'll discuss is the price. You're getting good quality food but you're not paying Olive Garden prices for it. Both my wife and I's dishes sat around $30/pop. For a group, you're talking some big money.Would I come back to Roberto's? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. Would I come back often? If I was rich...maybe. It's a fun place for a date night, but probably won't be our regul“

“This is the best Italian spot, if not the best restaurant, in the DC area. It’s a small menu, updated regularly, and the staff couldn’t be any more perfect. If I could only have one meal for the rest of my life, squid ink linguini and the pineapple upside-down cake. WOW!“

“A very old school family-run vibe. In a day of chain restaurants I appreciate this. The linguine and clams were delicious, and both the lasagna and shrimp scampi were also quite good. The wine selection is small, but when you have quality table wines with generous pours, who cares. I would certainly return anytime.“

“MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT MAGGIANO’s, SPRINGFIELD, VA! There are not enough word in the dictionary to describe my experience in Maggiano’s! From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. Thank you Mo, (manager), Jessie (server), and the rest of the staff at my Maggiano’s! Dana Neese, 12-23-2023.“

“One of the best places to go for pizza and pastas. Simple, Italian dishes, but really good homestyle cooking. Highly recommend coming here if you are planning to get a grub to eat before a movie. My picks from here would be the piccatta, or chicken parm pasta. Their New York style pizza is also really flavorful.“

“I've eaten at Dante's a handful of times, but never in the larger dining area, so that was exciting to eat in a different part of the restaurant! I took my parents to have lunch on Mother's Day. The waitstaff was attentive, and we enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was festive, with many families coming to dine there too (some even noting the unusual circumstance of Dante's being open on Sunday), so it was nice that we all appreciated a special place to take our mothers, grandmothers, etc. on Mother's Day!“

“After having been here several times the food is quite good. The lasagna in particular is a personal favorite. The ambiance is pleasant although crowded at times. They have an excellent wine selection. One recommendation- if you order takeout in particular -pizzas. Check them before you leave. The pizza I ordered last night had the four ingredients put in four separate corners. I don't understand it but can only assume I was given the wrong order or someone in the kitchen was having a bad night!“

“This was my first visit to Capri despite living in McLean for several years. It is a traditional white tablecloth restaurant and I was a bit hesitant to try it, but the food was wonderful. My rack of lamb was cooked just the way I requested and was not at all fatty/greasy as some lamb can be. The dark gravy was excellent as were the accompanying vegetables and crispy small roasted potato wedges. The other members of my party had Italian dishes which they were very happy with. Desserts - spumoni encased in chocolate and tiramisu - were excellent. We will definitely be back.“

“Had to convince my friends to go again because of a long-ago disappointing Restaurant Week dinner. This time, we all loved the food, the generous portions, and the service. “The food is fantastic; having grown up on Italian food in NJ.My issue is with one of the managers. There is nothing better than fantastic Italian food accompanied with good red wine.I came in on a federal holiday (Monday) and was surprised at the fact the bar was packed at lunchtime.Regardless…. I ordered my food, but also wanted some great red wine.My server recognized me, and understood when I asked how long the bottle of red that I wanted was open.Within a few minutes… someone (who was clearly the front of the house manager); yelled out loud “Am I giving this away?” Because I wanted a sample. My server tried to talk her down, and in the meantime, the daytime drunks sitting at the bar chimed in about free samples. You need to figure out how you want to sell wine.Don’t you dare expect a guest to pay a chunk of change for vinegar (wine opened for more than 6 hours)…especially when you carry a decent wine list.Give your guests some credit. And please… don’t embarrass us when we ask for a taste of an open bottle.“

“Villa Bella is such an amazing restaurant. It can be difficult to get a reservation here as it is really popular in the Burke area, but that's because it is such a unique spot. I love the wood-fired pizzas from here because this style adds to the crispiness of the pizza crust. Calamari fritti is nice and airy, unlike many places where they sometimes make the appetizer too dense or oily. Reasonable amount of salt in the calamari fritti, which impresses me because I don't find that often in the calamari I've gotten from other Italian restaurants. The fried mozzarella and arancini are also some must-haves. Before eating here, I used to not like arancini, but this place has converted me into someone who loves arancini. With pasta dishes, some of my personal favorites are the ziti alla Paesana, manicotti, and ravioli. Their chicken parm pasta is also really good. This cozy restaurant nestled in Burke definitely sets the bar high for Italian food in the DMV and has personally elevated my palate on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and even a faraway drive is worth it in my opinion. I definitely hope to come back here.“

“Walking in, I was impressed by the clean, well lit building. I ordered Chicken Alfredo with penne pasta. Original cost was $13 and some change but they gave me a discount because I work in the same shopping area. When my delivery arrived I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo! My first impression looking at it was that there was enough portions for me to eat twice which is awesome considering the the price. The sauce was definitely creamy but I felt that it could've been a bit thicker, it was a little thin. There was plenty of chicken, they did not hold back! The pasta noodles were perfect, not too hard not too soft. I do wonder about the quality of the chicken. Was it cooked that moment, earlier that day or was it frozen/precooked.. The Garlic bread was epic! Two nice toasted buttery sized pieces.. Overall I enjoyed the meal. I suspect there pizza is better so that would be my order next time I stop by. Theyve got great lunch deals soo be sure to stop by and check it out!“

“As a New England pizza snob this is the best pizza I've had since relocating here. The crust tastes homemade and the sauce is perfectly salty and tangy. Ingredients were fresh and delicious and this was one of the largest "personal" pizzas I've ever had. I felt I received a good deal for what I paid. I got a margarita and a pepperoni- both could have used more fresh basil (margarita pizza had entire slice with zero basil) but I was grateful the basil was fresh and not dehydrated. “At Luciano, I recently dove into their "Meat Trio" pizza, and let me tell you, it's a culinary masterpiece. The crust strikes the perfect balance between crispy and chewy, providing an ideal base for the explosion of flavors to come. The trio of meats was a savory delight in every bite, and I decided to amp it up a notch by adding mushrooms, which added a delightful earthiness to the mix. The cheese, a gooey perfection, brought everything together seamlessly. Luciano's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary finesse truly shines through in this pizza, making it a must-try for anyone seeking a delicious and satisfying dining experience.“
