The restaurant had a dark and romantic yet friendly and comforting atmosphere. We looked over the tasting menu and chose mostly different dishes from the options provided. We both ordered the lamb, which I found to be impeccable, and the wine pairings were thoughtful and tasty. The seafood was spectacular, but I felt the duck was a little undercooked. My husband surprised me with an anniversary weekend at the Ashby Inn and restaurant. We have always enjoyed our time at the Ashby as a services impeccable. The rooms are filled with amicable and necessary items, especially firewood for a romantic Cozy evening. The restaurant is tremendous, and the staff and service are equally knowledgeable and helpful. The Chef's Tasting Menu was amazing. Wonderful wine pairings explained by the Sommelier. Lovely litte B&B nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley area. The restaurant is part of the Inn. Very horse country centric.
