“Move over Starbucks, I have a new favorite coffee spot. My fiancé and I had a pleasure meeting the owner at Cello coffee house & cafe Saturday evening. Not only was he friendly, welcoming and just a genuinely great man, he served up the best coffee! We tasted a few of his homemade ice cream flavors and they were the better than anything you could get from any container. We even brought home baklava and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We love supporting these small businesses that pack a punch in our community with such amazing products. If you are ever downtown, make sure to give them a visit! You will NOT be disappointed.“

“Hard to not enjoy the atmosphere here. I come to work when I need some chill time and focus, but they can get really busy too. Their specialty coffees are pretty fun. “Every Wednesday Sidecar has a Neighborhood Night with a 3 Course Menu Special which they email you ahead of time in order for you to have time to make a reservation if you think you would enjoy the items mentioned. This Wednesday, the appetizer was Seared Sea Scallops, the main entrée was Beeler's Duroc Pork Chop, and for dessert Biscoff Ice-cream. I happen to like these three items so I decided to make a reservation and go try out this restaurant for the first time. I arrived at 5:00pm sharp to my reservation and was greeted by the friendly host with a welcome smile. I was impressed by the warm atmosphere of the place with lots of wood accents and hunter green painted wall lined up with booths on one side and a long bar with many stools on the other side. At front there are a couple of small rooms with a few tables as well. The host took me to one of the booths in the center of the restaurant and the waiter came by to introduce himself and bring a glass of cold water that had a wonderful taste. In water the more tasteless it is makes for the best taste. I told the waiter that I was going to have the Neighborhood Night Menu of the Day and I also ordered a few slices of a Baguette with butter to start with while I waited for the food to be ready. The Seared Sea Scallops appetizer arrived and was outstanding. The waiter came by my booth at the appropriate times to check on me and fill my glass of water with more cold water. The Pork Chop main course was a nice size and very tasty. I was very satisfied with the portion size and with the flavorful cuisine. After feeling full and very satisfied with the food. I asked for the dessert that was truly a sweet complement to complete this wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for when you want to have a nice gourmet dinner, alone or with family and friends.“

I've paid more and been less pleased at other breakfast places downtown that I could name. Crumbles staff is ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS make me feel like they are glad to see me walk in the door, and ALWAYS wish me a great day! It is a pleasure to be a semi regular customer. Best wishes!“

“First, let me say that the pastries are excellent and everyone is incredibly friendly. We had both of the mini quiches (loved) and a London fog croissant that looked not great but tasted amazing. We had some sort of free form breakfast strata which was ok. The coffee was awful. I’m not exaggerating. Watery, no flavor, not quite right. We had both a drip coffee and a cortado, and neither resembled anything like they should have. Basically, come here for the pastries and baked goods, skip everything else.“

“I used to really love this place and go almost every week day but now I kind of go there maybe once a week and only because it's conveniently located but the convenience factor has taken a nose dive because of one recent development: When I pay $5 or $6 for a specialty iced coffee is it too much to ask that it comes with a lid that won't leak? It drips all over my hands all the way to my office and I have to change cups when I get there. If ya get a shipment of faulty lids why not just send them back? I'd rather have no lid at all than the illusion of a lid.“

“This is our usual stop but today we were taking our dog to be put down. So I went in asking for nothing other than his favorite treat which is a pup cup. The guy that helped me was a the best thing that could have happened. He immediately went to make a large pup cup after I told him what I was dealing with. Our dog had that last best treat. I can’t thank him enough and it meant the world to my wife, my dog, and myself. Can’t thank you enough for the kindness you showed today.“

“My wife and I just moved into the area recently, and were looking for a place with pool tables and my wife found this place. We passed by it a few times before our first stop and noticed the giant coffee pot attached to the roof of the building which is something we look for in unique places to stop in. One night we decided to visit the Coffee Pot in the late afternoon and found the place mostly quiet and empty. There was a fire going in the old fireplace which was unexpected, but shouldn't have been after I learned about the bar's history. My wife and I enjoy the occasional dive bar, we have for a while. For us, it is a nice change from the other mainstream venues we visit, and the patrons and regulars have always been welcoming and friendly. The Coffee Pot was no exception. As other reviewers have stated, it is still a smoker-friendly bar and in these times it isn't often a crowd pleaser, especially for first-timers. However, we have found it does weed out certain types of patrons who sometimes can't suspend their complaints and enjoy something completely different, historic in this case, and seemingly off the beaten path. We stayed to play pool, the goal of our visit, and then stayed for one of the band's sets. We also ordered sandwiches/hot-subs as well which didn't take long to get and the food was fresh and hot considering the Wednesday night crowd there had kept the kitchen busy and they were also short staffed. Their Wednesday night house band has been a mashup of different bluegrass players (musicians) over the last 25 years. One component of the band, and the bar, they are deeply proud of - we get it and we respect that. Plus other mainstream players, Richey Valenz, Dickey Betts, to name a few have graced their stage at some point in time. We'll be going back this Wednesday as we were told the house band is giving the stage to a younger bluegrass band to encourage and support younger bands in the area. Again, a nice change from other live music venues in the county for us to sample and enjoy. Like a good Irish friend of mine told me a long time ago... "If you don't have fun, it's your own fault."“
