“What a treasure! The food is tremendously fresh and tasty. We look forward to using the event space in the back of the restaurant soon for an executive board meeting. The staff are super friendly and I’m grateful to be able to have lunch quickly made while on my break, while having time to enjoy it as well!“

“First let me say that I lived in Europe for two years and have had quite a few amazing croissants...but nothing like this place. The chocolate almond croissant from Sub Rosa is the best one I've ever had..period. Also, the ham and cheese croissant and the tart was incredible. We heard about how fast they sell out so we ordered a few days ahead of our trip. I'd recommend doing the same if you want to guarantee you'll get what you want. Seriously, if you find yourself down here, plan to make a stop, you will not be disappointed.“

“An absolutely delightful coffee shop. From delicious array of breakfast items like biscuits, bagels, and wraps to their wonderfully creative lunch options, easily makes it one of the best places in Northside. Oh, and the coffee? Fantastic blend and variety. Let's not forget the employees! They are the nicest and coolest bunch of folks you would ever hope to see working in a coffee shop. A+ joint with a groovy atmosphere and makes you want to settle in for a while and enjoy your cuppa.“

“This is the staple spot, for multiple reasons. The vibe, service, atmosphere, and THE FOOD. Promotion of local and Black culture. Best Turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. Great ingredients. The cinnamon rose latte was SO GOOD.“

“My boyfriend and I both got iced lattes with oatmilk and they were some of the best coffees we’ve ever had. Full of flavor and super creamy while maintaining the rich roasted coffee bean taste!! The location was super lowkey but very homey and inviting. The employees were also super kind.“

“Ironclad is our safe space - the place we go to for inspiration, to talk about a big decision, or just to get some amazing food and coffee. There is nothing like it - worth every penny! Leave the laptop at home and just enjoy this coffee shop ??“

“We had a delightful experience all around. The dim lighting, candle light, live piano music, and perfect sound level made for a great ambiance. The food was also very good. We started with the baked Brie, then got the salmon (was a special) and the beef bourguignon. All of it was delicious and came in perfectly portioned sizes. The service was fantastic too. The server was helpful and super attentive. They recommended a beautiful wine to go with our meal, and our water glasses were filled throughout the night without having to ask even once. We will certainly be back! I recommend making a reservation as it filled up pretty quickly.“
“As a guy who prefers caffeine to get his day started, Rivers Edge Coffee Company is a great place to grab a treat of the artistic spin on coffee this place offers. The quality of the drinks is decent. The service is local quality. Great place to bring connection.“

“What a wonderful experience! The staff were absolutely lovely. Due to some health issues, I'm unable to have caffeine right now. The staff were extremely validating, and named what they had available - they have decaf espresso here! They made extra care to ensure that the decaf latte I ordered was separate from the caffeinated latte my mom ordered. The drink is amazing - they make their vanilla syrup in-house. It's a lovely, balanced drink. Beautiful coffee shop, great music and vibes, and attentive and kind staff. Will return again, one of my favorite coffee shops I've been to in VA! ☕Dietary restrictions: They were attentive to ensure that my decaf drink was separate from caffeinated drinks.“

“Ok . I am a New Yorker. It is in my blood - we think we know more about pizza than anyone. An unbearable burden to carry.:) None the less my wife and I made our way to pizza bones . Very nice local neighborhood spot has kind of an outdoor theme however you can down inside but it’s limited. Staff is super friendly. Placed an order for garlic bread and a pizza for my wife and I to share half pepperoni service recently, considering the only two people on shift first let me say that cheesy bread were extremely good garlic, super cheesy crust very tasty. The pizza was excellent love the crust fresh tomatoes, Gucci gooey cheese. I think this pizza is better than Xorge or Cary Street and that’s a hard crowd to beat you go $14 for a midsize prize not a bad price serves to make sure you get the cheesy bread.“
“My little sister took me here while I was visiting her for a day. I tried the Gold Rush, and it was undoubtedly one of the best ice creams I've ever had. We bought two pints for the road. I had a chance to talk to Westray as well; he was very kind and patient answering all our questions. I would highly recommend if anyone is in Richmond.“

“This place was recommended by our AirB&B host and it was so good we will be going back before we leave! Between the coffee, food, juice and the atmosphere this place has 12/10 vibes, I tried the Black is Beautiful juice, croissant sandwich, and the breakfast burrito!“

“I used to come here almost every day while I was at VCU and lived down the street. It was one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. I just went back for the first time in 15 years (after moving away from RVA). It's so nice to see that this lovely place is still here.I don't normally notice much difference in drip coffee (it's either good or bad... strong or weak basically) but the one they serve there is noticeably excellent and some of the best I've ever had.The prices are super reasonable. Stefa and Katherine served me and my friend. They were friendly, helpful and patient.Really nice to meet the owner, Quillin. I hope she's proud of her much deserved (and hopefully continued) success and contribution to local culture.Great vibe, kind people, cool art, good music, interesting stuff to read... places like this make Richmond the city it is.:)“

“Husband is very kind and relatable. Not sure why the wife always seems terse, maybe she does all the work Haha really cute place though, table games and couches, good spot to hang out.Updating review, but nothing is new, still the same beloved lounge, and I'm glad I get to turn new people on to them whenever I'm in town“

“Love this place! Exceptional service and wonderful- affordable- sandwiches and coffee. I’ve always tried to shop within my downtown neighborhood and prefer this to the big chain coffee shops. It makes my morning when I’m able to make it by before work. Thank you!“

“Great local, neighborhood café with cozy atmosphere, warm service, and even cozier food. Try a meat, egg, and cheese bagel—my favorite is chorizo; it comes as a layer of spicy sausage crumble. The coffee & espresso are great, and the café is always clean. Excellent place to bring family, friends, and/or coworkers.“
“The Market at 25th has really stepped up their game lately and I am impressed! It’s always been a cute market, but used to be lacking in many areas. Now they have so much more high quality stuff. Even added a new deli sandwich section that looked really good.A small critique I could make is that they still don’t carry my fav yogurt and eggs. But that’s honestly it.Something I’ve always loved about going to get groceries here is the people. Everyone is warm and welcoming. They are my go to spot for groceries in the Church Hill area and I’m grateful they’re around!“

“I’d share a photo of the Italian beef I got, but I ate it too fast. Slow, SLOOOW cooked beef with giardiniera piled on a hearty sesame bread. I’m going to be thinking about that one for a while. It might cost more than you think a sandwich should cost (if you’re older like me), but the moment you start to eat it, you’ll know you got a deal. Plus it comes with chips. Better than fair.“

“I’m so happy to have Sefton a block away from my office! Aways incredible service, consistently amazing coffee, and fantastic pastries. The random surprises, whether a flower, penguin, or fortune cookie with the coffee, are always an added treat.“

“The convenience of the location is extremely important to me as I live in Jackson ward. The only thing I can say is be prepared to wait a bit. Not their fault, they're super popular but you aren't popping in for just a quick coffee unless you drink it black. Also, somehow my price is always high but that's on me for always wanting their mozzarella pesto sandwich with my specialty coffee!“

“This is our favorite sweet treat. (Lombardy location) I haven't found any other donut shop with a variety of vegan options. My child has food allergies to eggs and nuts. The employees even placed the vegan donuts in a separate bag/box to prevent cross-contamination. Kudos for the service and the best tasting treats.Vegetarian options: A row of different types of donuts labeled vegan“

“Cool place with a nice vibe, beautiful setting. We ate inside but, there's a courtyard for outdoor dining. The appetizers and dessert were amazing! Cooked to perfection. Get the sampler at a minimum. The Caesar Salad if fantastic. For dessert, doughnuts are heavenly....very good no flour chocolate cake. Entrees were solid but, appetizers and dessert stole the show. Staff is very attentive and friendly. We'll be back!“

“A pleasant little coffee shop with some really tasty breakfast options. Staff is friendly and attentive to the needs of the customer (meaning they got my order perfect because I am picky about my eggs and how they are cooked). Prices are reasonable and the breakfast sandwich I had was large with flavorful sausage. I will be back for more next time I am in this part of Richmond.“

“We visited the Staples Mill location for the first time yesterday. The staff was friendly and helpful, telling us about their business and offering free samples. We got a variety of bread, baked goods and sweet treats and so far everything is top notch. The baguettes are amazing - we just had some in France and these are just as good! Amazingly, we found the prices to be very reasonable. We will definitely return.“

“The Sweet Spot serves amazing ice cream! Their red velvet cake ice cream is to die for. They even offer different flavors for their cones, which I’ve never seen at any other place. I also love that they serve coffee and other hot drinks- what a great combination!“
“Finally something healthy I can stop in and get before hitting the gym. These shakes and teas are sooo good you'll not believe they are actually healthy. Susan, the owner, is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Stop in and give this a try. You'll be back for more!“

“Birdie's has become my husband and I's go-to date night spot. We first visited during the Evergreen pop up and had one of the best times. It was such a fun way to celebrate the holidays between the festive cocktails and the beautifully decorated interior. Every time we go, we get AT LEAST a dozen oysters and I would definitely venture to say that it is the thing that they do the best for sure. The accoutrements are perfect and all of the oysters are fresh and clean. They offer a variety and they are organized on the menu from saltiest to sweetest, which is helpful for people like myself who enjoy oysters frequently! We have also enjoyed some others on their menus. Here's what I would highly recommend: COCKTAILS- Sparrow (perfect pairing for oysters, you won't find better), I'm a Pretty Little Birdie, Bloody Mary for Brunch. They also serve Blanchard's Coffee. FOOD- house made salt & vinegar chips are DIVINE. Oysters are a must obviously. Also enjoyed the Lobster Roll, Cucumber & Honey Dew (Brunch), Biscuits & Gravy (Brunch) and Shrimp & Grits (Brunch). A few things that I personally wouldn't recommend is the hot dog, Shrimp Toast, Night Owl, and Crudo. I think the quality for the food was there, these just weren't my favorite flavor wise. The Night Owl has a banana component, and is not what I'm looking for when I am in the mood for an espresso martini. So it is a no from me, although my husband enjoyed it. The service here is slow during brunch, but prompt during dinner service. Overall, we LOVE Birdie's and will continue to frequent and bring friends and family when they are in town.“

“I had the most delicious breakfast at this cafe! The BBQ Brisket with eggs was fabulous. Toast was crisp and fresh, didn't even need butter! Well prepared and appetizing presentation with huge portions!! Well worth the price. If you're not super hungry, you'll have enough for another meal!! The coffee was disappointing, but maybe they should get a flavored coffee option? Real quiet atmosphere, almost like a library. Comfortable seating. Nice place to dine!!“
“Just went to this Starbucks inside of Target. First time at this location. I ordered a coffee that I typically get, and the person who made it somehow made it the best that I have ever had at any Starbucks. Must have added extra love or care. I believe their name was Jen. Thank you for making my morning better!“

“Very quaint very cute very sweet a little story we have here and the woman that was managing it took my shepsky cocoa and I with a very customer service friendly the service was top-notch show that early in the morning doing it all which I can definitely appreciate and respect I would if you're in that area definitely worth a stop in if you're into Starbucks there is no drive-thru so that's the kick in catch but again college kids it's in a perfect and very quaint little part of town that's very nice and cleanParking: Street park8ng is how I was able to easily find dead front of the entrance but I was her first customer that morning and u haven't been there anytime other than that one. So I'm not sure how busy the parking may get but the have a medium good size lot to the side of the shop8ng strip and in the front along the street.Kid-friendliness: Yeah just like any other Starbucks not going to be a No-No for kids to go into it's just not a big sit down with drive-thru type of Starbucks is very small and really nice and chill with Lobby in the front I definitely kid friendly but nothing for them to do in there if that be the case I'll just leave them in the car if you can it's not just be kind of bored looking at everything but I love bringing my dog in there with me so“

“This is a nicer hotel that’s very close to the airport. The only bummer was that the shuttle to the airport in the morning only ran every half hour. Be sure to put your name on the list at the front desk because the shuttle only had room for 10 passengers. Richmond airport is easy to fly in and out of. When I have to go to the area, I’ll often turn my rental car in the night before my flight and take a shuttle to the airport hotel and then shuttle back in the morning. To pick up the shuttle to the hotel from the airport, you need to go to the middle island and to the right as you exit the baggage claim area. I would suggest calling the hotel and letting them know you’re there if you don’t see the shuttle.“
