“J&K Style Grill catered my mother's 60 Birthday Party on 3/16/24. We ordered Pulled Pork, Grilled and Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Collards, Potato Salad, Egg Rolls, Dinner Rolls, Tea and Lemonade. When the food was delivered Kelvin and his wife Latonya and their daughter took the liberty to set the food up for us and light the warmers. They were only supposed to drop the food off. Kelvin also offered to leave his food warmers to keep the extra food warm until it was ready to be served. He went out of his way to make sure that we were ok. I really appeciate the GREAT service that was given and would recommend them to any and everyone. On top of the great service the food was also really good. You will not loose if you choose J&K Style Grill. Will add photos later.“

“We were visiting from PA and this spot came highly recommended for brunch, so we stopped in before heading home. Great restaurant in a very good location. We arrived 5 min before our reservation and we're able to be seated right away. We were greeted by our server rather quickly. The drink options were nice, I ordered the Mimosa Mango Sorbet (prosecco with a scoop of mango sorbet) but I was torn between that and trying the mimosa flight. There were so many great entree options but I went with Filet Mignon Benedict it was delicious, the sweet bacon with the fried green tomato along with the egg and sauce was perfect pairing with the filet. For our shareables we did biscuits and firecracker shrimp, both were yummy. “Terrapin is one of my "must go" eateries. Very welcoming atmosphere and elegant appearance. I have been here several times. Always greeted with smiling faces. Once I visited on a busy evening, no reservation, and I was seated very quickly. Staff is always exceptional. Table service is excellent. Servers are knowledgeable, attentive, and very personable. Food looks marvelous and is delicious. Last trip, I had a salad, 6 oz steak, and tiramisu for dessert. Enjoyed every bite.“

They welcomed us like old friends despite no reservation and seated us at a table perfectly suited for an enchanted evening. Our waitress, Kate expertly guided us through our options and periodically had little surprise samplers of delectable goodies throughout our meal. My ribeye was cooked to perfection with the sauce and whipped potatoes creating the best flavor and texture I’ve ever experienced in a steak dinner. It was melt in your mouth good. “The food was really good here once you finally got it. The service was very slow and bad, ordered drinks came out 10 minutes apart for same table, no water or coffee refills. The kitchen was playing loud music that contrasted with the dining room music so you heard them both at the same time, was very distracting. The ventilation system here is awful. Clothes and hair smelled like an old combat cafeteria after leaving you have to shower and wash everything to get it out. Bad atmosphere and service but great food. Can’t have it all I guess.“

“I had the tuna and my son had the calamari. Both were phenomenal. The tuna was not like tuna bites you get at most restaurants. This was SUPER tender for real!! At first you think it won’t be enough but it really was. I have had calamari that was not fresh, and when it’s not fresh, it is like rubber I’m very hard to chew, but this calamari was very tender, and had an excellent sauce that accompanied it . We also ordered the Spiced Rum Cake that was delicious. We had two servers, first of female, and then a male and both of them were excellent, however, I do want to say the male was more attentive, but both were awesome. We went on a Saturday in the middle of the afternoon and it was not busy at all. Although it was raining a lot outside, so that might’ve had something to do with it. They do have outside seating, which I would imagine in the summertime would be great.“

So far I’ve had the buffalo chicken sando , mozzarella logs, and hush puppies. All three were amazing. “This was my first time back to this restaurant in a long time. The service was great, though the server didn't know the price of the specials when asked. My friend had the octopus and a goat cheese salad, which she enjoyed. I ordered the oysters and the short rib special. The oysters were good, and the taste of the short ribs were good, but the consistency was more like pot roast, which is not one of my favorite choices. I would definitely return to dine again.“

“The best place to get fresh seafood dishes. I always get the baked seafood penne. Shrimp, crab, and oyster. It is absolutely delicious. “We were a group of 4 there last night. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would give them 5 stars except they refused to provide a gluten free alternative for the fish dip...not even carrots or celery...they are not friendly for people with gluten intolerance or allergies. One of their cocktails listed both gin and vodka and they refused to make that cocktail without the vodka...which tells me that their drinks must be pre-made and that they can't make any drink not specifically listed on the menu. The prices are a bit higher than expected for the menu and portions offered.“

I had to explain what an Americano was but the waiter obliged without a hitch. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy to sign up and on a busy Saturday we only waited 10 minutes before getting a court for Shuffleboard. Then if you have never played (like us) they give you a nice lesson and tell you to make a few practice shots. Now lets get to the food. We got sliders, wings, waffle fries, and a hummus tray. All of it came out fast and wonderful. The sliders were perfect in every way and the perfect size. Wings had alot of flavor, they are finger licking good. Ok, you know I got a cocktail. Bahama Mama was excellent and a really good size, I highly recommend all the food and definitely order a drink. YUMMMM. Everything was wonderful. Happy staff, great location, tasty food and wonderful drinks. I can't wait to go back. I was the big winner By The Way. This is a must if your in the Virginia Beach area.
