“This is such a sweet place with people who clearly love to cook and be adventurous with their menu. I had the chicken salad tacos and I loved the watermelon radishes instead of a taco shell. The flavors were outstanding and the outdoor seating was beautiful. The prices are reasonable and the options are plenty! I fed myself and my kids and got drinks plus a tip for $60. There isn't a road sign on Main Street that I saw, but the GPS gets you there easily. Definitely check it out! We'll be coming back ☺️☺️“

“My husband is a Veteran and we love to support businesses that recognize our Veterans. Super casual and fun environment, the staff was very helpful and explained how to properly through the axes and the ground rules. They had a large selection of adult beverages and offered pub style food like flat breads, chicken wings, and nachos. The owners are very friendly and stopped by our group to chat and make sure we were having a good experience. I would highly recommend a visit!“

It comes at the typical Virginia premium (whites in the ~$20 range, reds up to $40).Adults-only in the tasting room, but kids allowed at the farm store (which sells wine by the bottle, but not tastings).Rentable rooms where the cost goes straight back to buying things.“

“Best french toast I've ever had! ?The only caveat is that I added a lot of the fruit that was a side, inside in between the layers ???? (strawberries and blueberries) great job with the nuts... also amazing steak and egg sandwich!!! The cilantro jalapeño aoli is bomb af, and you get it on a CROISSANT... Latte was smooth and barely sweet, with honey available to add at your leisure. I just wish they had more locations, more obvious signage, and more space inside. Quite the hidden jewel ?“

“What a nice "discovery" this place was for us. Riding our motorcycles back home after visiting Western Maryland and WV, we decided to stop for lunch here. Food was abundant, fresh, and tasty. We all had the country fried steak breakfast platter. Cannot go wrong with it.Another pleasant surprise was the coffee. Best cup of coffee I've ever had at a diner. We kept asking for "more coffee, please"!Another special note about our server, Allison, she was friendly, professional and very attentive.Will definitely come back when I'm the Marshall area.“

“A relaxing location close enough for a short trip, but still has views of the rolling hills of Virginia. The owners, staff, and winemaker are informative and if you stop in around the right time, you may get an invite to help pick grapes or bottle wine enabling you to learn more about the process. This was one of the few wineries we've ever visited that both me and my wife enjoyed all of the wines. Children and dogs are allowed, though with some limits (dogs can't come inside due to new Virginia regulations and children are asked to stay on the ground floor). All in all, Cana Vineyards and Winery is a great place to get relax for a few hours when you get a chance, and then head down to Middleburg for dinner and shopping!“

“I've never been to a cafe that serves alcohol before, so I had a couple drinks to help make up for all of the times that I'd been to cafes in the past that didn't serve alcohol.I had the special of the day: a burger with Swiss cheese and ham (ordered without pineapple) and onion rings. This place does food really well. BOTH sides of the buns were toasted, the burger was quality, and they used spiral cut ham chunks! I was expecting deli ham, but they knocked it out of the park.It was a great way to have lunch on my 40th birthday.Parking: The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall. “This is a great place! I can't overstate how wonderful Vint Hill is or the amount of fun we have when we visit. The folks that work and visit there are nice, the wine is great and the ambiance is fantastic. Definitely a great place to enjoy wine and learn a thing or two. We like it so much we joined the wine club and joined Mark as he taught us how to make wine ourselves!“

“Sad they do not have the Curry Chicken Salad anymore, but still very good food. The person at the register didn't know the menu as well or didn't want to make recommendations. Small inside, but had outside seating. It's getting a little chilly for that.“

“A group of friends and I reserved the Loft space at Lost Barrel for an event and had an absolutely great time. The food was fantastic, the drinks were great, the servers were all super nice and attentive and the grounds of the property and a delight to walk around and hang out in. “Our first visit to Field and Main for my birthday 02/2024 was exceptional. We had made reservations well ahead of time, and were seated in the open kitchen area that was very interesting to watch. The head chef was the expediter, and all chefs called out the dish after he called it to them. A well oiled run machine that kitchen is!Kyle, our server was friendly, prompt and chatted with us about some wines. The Oomami smash burger was delicious, and the bread board was surprisingly rich and light with the truffle ricotta. Our main course of scallops in a parsnip puree and the buccatini pasta in a carrot sauce were to die for. Rich, elegant and warming. Now I want to attempt to make a carrot sauce!We will certainly return for future dinners, and can't wait to sit outside once the weather warms. “I don't usually review wineries but had such a great experience, I felt compelled to share. Everything was wonderful from stat to finish. We came to La Grange on a cold January day for a friend group outing. My husband and I along with another friend couple arrived ahead of our other friends. We decided on trying the buy 1 get one free wine tasting and went with the reds. I had mentioned to my husband walking in that I never remember wines when visiting wineries. We both agreed after this wine tasting, this would not be the case. All of the wines were amazing! And unique. It was hard to pick a favorite among them.We had the pleasure of working with Chris, who seamlessly bounced between our friend group arriving at different times, seeking different wine style tastings. He was friendly, patient (our group may have broken a glass upon jubilant hellos), and knowledgeable. Being int he Bull Run area, it was fun to learn about the history of the building and wines Just be careful with Chris - he's a great salesman! He easily sold one of our friends on a membership - although the memberships do seem like a great value. I can't recall the exact specifics so don't want to speak on it, but if you are even slightly interested in a winery membership, I'd recommend asking about this one.We spent most of our time in the basement which is a cozy space, decorated with lights and that could accommodate our group as well as others. It was also helpful that they allow outside food, since we could pair what we wanted with the bottles of wine being consumed.Great time, great people, great experience. I'd love to come back in warmer weather to see the ground. Highly recommend!“

“I needed a cup to giddy up, so it was nice that Cuppa Giddy Up saved the morning while walking around Middleburg. It's a small coffee shop on the basement level on the main street, so may be easy to miss. But if you make it here, they'll have everything you need to giddy up for the day. We visited Cuppa Giddy Up in the late morning on a Monday and the place wasn't busy, but with just one other customer in line. The space is very small, as it serves more so as a take-out establishment versus a cafe where you can sit and sip, which was fine with us because we planned to take our drinks to go. The menu was large enough, with different coffee and tea drinks, with many different flavors. I ordered a drip, which was solid. Nothing special, but I just needed to wake up, so it got the job done. As for food, there were just a few pastries at the counter available. But inside, there's a bathroom and a space that has a brochure and map of Middleburg and other tourist guides. Glad to know that Cuppa Giddy Up is here for a caffeine fix in Middleburg.“

“The food was good. Slightly overpriced compared to surrounding areas but no major complaints. The Pad Thai was a good texture but not great to reheat (that's probably my problem.) We also had the udon which came with a funny spoon. We really liked the taste both both. The place was small and slightly hot and we were left standing in the front area for at least five minutes because there was only one server. We felt bad and awkward because it was literally in front of the door. We had to wait even though we had a reservation and the food took forever to come out. The food was a 5/5, service was 3.5/5.“

“Hunter's Head is an authentic 18th century tavern with delicious 21st century food. We sat outside on the lovely patio surrounded by flowers. Three of our guests had the Thyme & Mushroom quiche which was absolutely the best quiche I have ever put in my mouth! Definitely will return for dinner.“

“Beautiful building in a great location just past the downtown. The gentleman at the bar was extremely knowledgeable. You could tell he loved the world of cider, mead, and wine. It was a Sunday. A musician was playing out back, he was very good and it made the whole atmosphere so relaxing. Sipping cider while watching the leaves fall was magical. Great food truck that day serving Asian cuisine, and it was yummy! Nice place for events!“

“First Visit to Barrel Oak Winery in VA.Amazing place for people who like wines and Beer,huge collection .They also have fresh pizza outlet which taste really good.Some live music at the spot.lot of benches outside and good spot for family or couples away from noise in calm place.They also have inside sitting and woodfire for evening.You can bring your pet along,have some good family time,food,wine and great view from the hill.“

“So my buddy found this place for a quick beer while we were riding around on our motorcycles. We got there a little early since they open at 1130 but it wasn't bad. The area has some nice shops and plenty of space to walk around for a few. The gentlemen who served us at the bar was very kind and had some info on the best motorcycle routes and different ways to get to his spot from where we were coming from. Overall great spot, good location and great beer. Oh I got the rueben sandwich and it was delicious.“

It was a nice day, so we sat outside on the patio. It is on a parallel street to the main street, so it doesn't get people wandering by - it's definitely a destination spot. Playground, live music, kids menu, fire pit, large grass areas, little gardens. all you need for a high-quality family day. Importantly, the beers were great, and prices were ok.“

“Wow! One of the best meals we ever experienced! We arrived early for our 5 pm reservation and had drinks in the bar. I asked our bartender, Payton, to make me something novel and I was not disappointed. We enjoyed sipping our drinks in the beautiful, wood paneled lobby. Later, we went into the Conservatory, to find that Payton was also to be our waiter. We opted for the Chef's Tasting Menu with one substitution, since I don't eat beef. They happily complied and my wife and I enjoyed the most interesting and delicious meal. I am not an adventurous eater and there were one or two things I would not normally have ordered, but I would have been missing out on some exceptional dishes. And each course was artfully displayed. Add to that the great atmosphere: sitting in a beautiful glass room, surrounded by forest, in front of the fireplace, very attentive service, it all made for one of our best dining experiences ever! “It is a nice winery, with large outdoor spaces with tables and benches, great for a picnic. The site is very clean and well organized. Wine is excellent, but some wines are available only by bottle, not by glass. Unfortunately, you can't get "wine tasting" outside (you can only get a glass or a bottle). Place is elegant, but the bill is a bit more expensive than other wineries.“

“Beautiful setting in a glassed in area of the inn and restaurant. Service was impeccable. We had the four course Chef's tasting menu. All selections were highest caliber in taste and presentation. If you want fine dining in an elegant setting, I recommend the Conservatory at Goodstone.“

“We were in Middleburg, and a friend recommended this winery. Of all the wineries we tried in the Middleburg area, this one was our favorite. The 2021 Norton and Albarino white were to die for. The Petit Verdot was also amazing.We saw a lot of negative reviews about the food. But we decided to try it anyway. We got the Thai pork belly, and the pesto panini. We can’t speak to the pizza, but what we ordered was really good. Highly recommend this winery. The food is good, the wine is good. The views are spectacular. What more could you ask for?“
