Our bartender was fantastic and so helpful and explained the menu as well as being open to any questions. I don’t like regular pizza but I do love a white pizza. They made us a half white and half meat lovers that changed my world!!! I actually ate more than he did and that has Never happened!! We will be returning because we wanted one of most everything on the menu!!“

An unexpected gem after spending a little time at Chick‘s Beach with the family… Was not expecting the excellence we got from the moment we walked in. The staff was quick to greet, and very friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely, nice low, but perfectly sufficient lighting, a lovely patio with hanging lights and the back of the restaurant overlooks the water and a lovely little walking bridge, beautiful stonework bar, with a superb whiskey selection, though I was in the mood for beer last night… Our server, Natalie, was incredibly warm and helpful, offered to let me to taste some of the beer on tap, which led to me purchasing a pint of one of the most deliciously creamy raspberry wheat beers I’ve ever had. She recommended the pizza rustica, and I, as a chef of 13 years, was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but yet again, perfection. There was literally nothing wrong, I tried a bite of each of my family members’ food as well because I do that... It was all excellent, the “avocado and IPA bacon grilled cheese” my daughter ordered was my second favorite after the pizza. Just a fantastic spot. Worth a trip out to Virginia Beach for dinner from anywhere else in Hampton Rose, even without a prerequisite beach trip.“

“My husband and I stopped by on our way home. We've driven past multiple times, but since we were hungry this time, we figured we could try their pizza. We came in around 2pm and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. Our server Katie grabbed our drinks, took our orders, and was polite and friendly. The fried pickles tasted fresh, briny, and delicious. The pizza was good with a very tasty crust and tomatoey sauce. The cheese and pepperoni were good. I probably wouldn't order sausage on our pizza again as it didn't taste like Italian sausage, but almost tasted like breakfast sausage, being too sweet. The only downside to our meal was the group of servers standing around to loudly gossip in the hallway right next to the dining room. And the group of children that came running out of the game room in the back rattled the entire room, sending our table and booth to shaking. We'll be back to try them again and look forward to the garlic knots we keep seeing mentioned! Food: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4 out of 5“

“Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! “I visited this establishment today 2/10/23 for the first time. The environment is inviting , friendly. The pizza was a bit disappointing paper thin pizza , very dry and crust not cooked thoroughly and not fresh. The taste was good but not enough cheese. I will return for a second time hoping it’s a better experience and maybe it’s better to order a fresh pie and just bring it home with me. Over all I give it 5/10 with room for improvement.“

“Today, we did some volunteer work at the Oceantfront. I rarely travel north to that area bc I live in SB. I would have never thought about getting a pie from Basil, but someone purchased some pizzas for us volunteers. This pizza was probably one of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be ordering Basil next time I'm in the area. It might be good enough for me to drive the 40 minute round trip from home once a month or so. It was takeout so cant speak to service or atmosphere, but flavor and ratios were 10/10“

“I ordered pizza for my kids through the app I went to pick up the food it was ready a few minutes after I got there granted I live close by. My pizza was not as expected but that was no problem a gentleman named Tony came right on over to assist me and made everything right he made the pizzas my kids wanted and offered me the pizza that wasn’t desired I took it of course extra pizza is always great. I came home my kids were like what took you so long I said I had to make sure take pizza was tight and they were super excited I came in with ALOT more pizza than expected now they have “SNACK” for after school tomorrow as well.

“Ynot on Kempsville Road is an amazing family place to dine. My family and I went there Tuesday 1-13-26 to celebrate my granddaughters 8th birthday. The staff was able to accommodate all of us. The waitress was extremely kind and amazing . Not only was she attentive to each guest she was patient. One of the best experiences I have had in a long time. We will definitely return.
