I spent 6 years living on the coast of SC and moved back several years ago to my hometown (and knew not to order seafood when in a landlocked state).I took my family to Berret’s and my oldest son who loves seafood is now ruined from eating it back home because of his newly acquired taste of fresh seafood that he got from this establishment. The food was amazing and the service was spectacular.“

“March 2025 | Spring Menu | My friend had the burger. It was his second time at Amber Ox, two different seasons, same protein. He loved it. He compared it to the fall menu burger and was so impressed that it was done this way. It was my birthday. I got the pork chop dish. Although, I love your menus, this is absolutely my favorite. I will be back before the end of the season for another taste. The staff were wonderful and attentive as always. You made my birthday dinner. Thank you so much.“

“It was our first time visiting Keland's and we tried the crab balls, alligator bites a and catfish poboy. Everything was cooked to perfection. To top it off, the customer service was impeccable. Shawn ensured that we were satisfied and provided excellent hospitality. We will definitely return to try some of the other items on the menu.“

“Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere! My friend and I each started with a crisp, cold, and delicious Classic Greek Salad. He had the Gyro (huge), and I ordered the Greek Burger. The burger was amazing, if a tad sloppy with the all sauce and feta. Knife and fork time! I didn't mind one bit! The fries were fresh, hot, crisp, and delicious! My friend raved about the gyro, and we immediately agreed to visit again soon! Gotta get some baked goods and take photos next time!

Update: Still no photos, but Mom got the strawberry cheesecake for us to "share." She left two rather small but absolutely delicious bites for me. I'll be back!“

“Wow! I have found the store that has all I have been looking for in great desert! I love ice cream and especially soft serve and I love fruit and chocolate. Also, I only go to establishments that put the customer first. This shop has it all, creamy high quality soft serve with all my favorite flavors including rich chocolate and fresh fruit choices! You can combine two flavors in a swirl and then go the to next spot you choose to continue to add the amount you desire into your cup. You have quite a number of toppings to choose from as well. They weigh the cup and charge you by weight. The focus is on the customer and on serving and supporting the community. Very pleasant staff and they know how it all works. The best of the best!“

“A quiet retreat from the bustle of Colonial Williamsburg, the Dale House welcomes guests of the APVA-owned side of Historic Jamestown for a bjte to eat and deink alongside of the James River. The caterer at the Dale House is exceptional. Beer, fountain soda, coffee, hot tea, and other bottled beverages are offered. The pastries and sandwich breads are home baked. The soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiches are just the right ticket for lunch. I strongly recommend any sandwich on the croissant buns if they are available as a special!Just be sure to purchase the APVA ticket in addition to the fee for admittance to the National Park in order to access the Dale House. Recent changes have required both tickets to be purchased due to ownership division of Historic Jamestown by the APVA and NPS. But, a week long pass is well worth the price for returned admittance to enjoy the offerings and unobstructed Jame River view at the Dale House!“

Center Street Grill is a hidden gem in Williamsburg that we stumbled on thanks to a post on Neighbor to Neighbor. When I read the post I had to check out and I am so glad my husband and our good friend did. We were not disappointed and ready to go back! My only complaint is I feel the price of the largest cup of ice cream doesn't match the size as their largest would probably be considered a medium or small at other ice cream locations.“

“I had the best customer service from one of the members here named “CASSIDY”. She was very polite and helpful when it came to how to order and what is the best options on the menu. She was very polite when I was having difficulties with the pesto and help me by telling me to shake the pesto mixture. Over all I have been coming to this restaurant for 4 years and I think she has been the most helpful and kind employee I have met. I will definitely be coming back.

“We were in the area to go to a ghost tour and we're looking for some place for a bite to eat. We stopped in and were absolutely delighted by the sandwiches that we had and the carafe of wine. It has a wonderful atmosphere and we were only saddened that we wouldn't be able to return in the morning as their coffee selection was superb.“

“My husband and I had a delicious lunch at Ichiban today. My maki rolls were wonderful, and my husband really enjoyed the General So chicken. The hot and sour soup was some of the best we've ever had. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is beautiful, with soft music in the background. The staff is polite and professional. We can't wait to go back soon for dinner. Ichiban is now our definite go-to place for Chinese and Japanese food. I highly recommend this restaurant!“

Really knows his stuff and an equally personable and professional like Sunni. (I wish the property supplied them w proper Bing cherries to go w a Manhattan instead of Maraschino cherries which are best used for Shirley temples;)). Food: Very impressed w the food!
