“The food here is typically great and when every other restaurant on the walking mall is crammed, this place typically has tables open. The uncomfortable wooden seats and the cigarette smell are the only reasons we don’t eat here more often.“

The food was surprisingly good and delivered very quickly.At no fault of their own, there was a lady being slightly obnoxious, but the bartender, who was awesome all night, told (not asked) that yelling obscenities will not be tolerated. “I travel a lot for business and I get so tired of trying to find decent places to eat. Union Jack was an amazing find. Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Paired with the Union Jack IPA, and pretzels with beer cheese... I'm glad I don't live near this place, I'd weigh 400 lbs. The bartender Emily was super sweet and pretty darn cute I might add. Atmosphere was perfect, great music (not too loud) and soft lighting, but not so dim that you couldn't see what you were eating. Great place to grab dinner.“
“Our attentive and accommodating server and excellent food (the pretzel-crusted chicken with Dijon sauce and vegetables was fantastic) made for an enjoyable experience. The only downside is that, despite the "non-smoking" dining room, we left smelling like cigarettes, probably from smokers in the tavern. Improved HVAC design would probably fix that. My solution will be to visit during mild weather and take advantage of the outdoor seating. We will definitely be back!“
“15/5 stars. So so good! The service is beyond great, everyone is so nice, welcoming and shares their own recommendations which means you know it's good if a person works there and can still recommend haha. They also have the fastest tap service. Literally you will order a beer and it's like your server does a spin and boom! Beer on your table. In addition to the great service the food is AMAZING. My personal favorite is the chicken cordon bleu sandwich, my husband likes the George Washington. Definitely recommend!“
