“This has become a favorite restaurant of mine. They have “wonderful” sushi and their service is also “wonderful.” I haven’t tried anything other than sushi here, except the miso soup, which is also “wonderful.” Everything is fresh, very tasty, and service is also excellent! It truly is a “wonderful” restaurant!“
“Best and freshest sushi in the Hampton Roads peninsula/Yorktown/Newport News area/Gloucester area!! Recently moved up to the area and in search for my go-to sushi restaurant. Kero is the place!! Exceptional service and amazing sushi rolls. My favs are Dancing Tuna Roll, Twin Tower Roll, and X-Mas Roll. If you are looking for a delicious sushi restaurant with a robust menu, Kero Sushi & Japanese Restaurant is the place!! Highly recommended!!“
“Wonderful Japanese style eatery (not because it’s sushi but how you sit at the bar, order, get your food). Not big so best for a date night or take out for larger orders. But soooooo fresh. Rice, fish, everything was the best we’ve had in a long time. Pay attention to the hours! Early March was closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, open Wednesday on. The Chef is a great guy too. Highly recommend going at least once during your stay. Try the Japanese sodas too. You won’t get a cavity like our homegrown drinks.“
“Great food and service! The family and I dined at Asahi for the first since before COVID. As expected fantastic food, we all ordered either the sushi or sashimi all you can eat dinner. Service seemed a little slow but did not diminish the experience. Sorry did take pictures.Update: B-day dinner for one of the kidlets. We all got the all you can eat sushi and had a great time with good food. Great service as always.“
“I have been searching for a good takeout hibachi place and this is exactly what I've been looking for! I wanted relatively cheap (this meal came in at about $12) and relatively plain rice which this was. My meal was delicious, they gave me so much food, and they were pretty fast after I ordered. I will be going back for sure!“
“Hands down one of the best hibachi spots around. Been coming to this place ever since my last spot changed ownership, which had been about ten years. The staff is always cheerful when we come in and make us feel like family. Once you try you be back again and “
“I’m a Korean food self proclaimed connoisseur. :) I’ve eaten it my entire life since birth, from my mother to all my aunties, to cooking it myself and let me say- they have the best Korean food in 757. It’s most authentic to how the food should taste and not so Americanized. This is my fav go to spot for takeout or a nice dinner date. I’ve also attended a few private catered parties here. The Grandma makes the best kimchi. Catered dishes differ from the main menu. It’s all around just so delicious! The Owners are very kind and I’ve always felt very welcomed.“
“First time here on a dinner date. The place has an inviting vibe once inside. I had the Yummy Yummy roll. So delicious ?. Comes out on a rectangular plastic throw away dish with 6 rolls.Parking: Place is located in a little shopping strip. So parking is shared with the other establishments.“
“The food was phenomenal, and the experience was delightful. I only chose the steak and shrimp hibachi for this experience, but I will be going back to try more.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options with both the hibachi and sushi.Kid-friendliness: The show the chef's put on is perfect for kids of all ages.“
“It's located in the Patrick Henry Mall food court, Japanese/Chinese fare, very good tasty food, they cook it right in front of you. Reasonably priced, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the portions are ample, they're not stingy about it, it's a mall atmosphere, but you'll forget about while enjoying your meal.“
“I had an amazing dine-in experience at this restaurant. It is relatively small but everyone was extremely nice. It seemed to be a family owned business so they were pretty busy. Nonetheless, I still got served fast with delicious food. Highly recommend their spicy tonkatsu ramen and earthquake roll!!“
“Visiting from NYC, I basically eat whatever and wherever my family recommends. Every member of my family ordered their own Hibachi platter and there was so much food, which resulted in leaving some for the next day. I had the chicken and steak combo with fried rice and vegetables. It was my first time trying Yum-Yum sauce and it definitely elevates the deliciousness of the food.“
“Great food, their combo specials are their best deals. I’ve tried Volcano and other mediocre places like Poke Sushi. This place does not disappoint, their trays are professional and unique with great tasting ginger and wasabi. They are hard workers that care about that craft. The crab is also not Krab, sorry SpongeBob fans!“
