“My first time at yama was wonderful. We had it recommended to us and my wife and i decided to try it. Our usual spot is great but is becoming more and more expensive but that's inflation i guess. Anyways the service was great. Got drinks and food very quickly. The waitress was very kind and offered a a bevy of complimentary free treats like spring rolls and desert. Although i won't expect this every time. The sushi we got was some of the best i have had. The ambiance was quiet, intimate, and although i couldn't understand the music i was vibing a little. Overall a wonderful dining experience and my wife and i will be going back.“

“This has become a favorite restaurant of mine. They have “wonderful” sushi and their service is also “wonderful.” I haven’t tried anything other than sushi here, except the miso soup, which is also “wonderful.” Everything is fresh, very tasty, and service is also excellent! It truly is a “wonderful” restaurant!“

“Best and freshest sushi in the Hampton Roads peninsula/Yorktown/Newport News area/Gloucester area!! Recently moved up to the area and in search for my go-to sushi restaurant. Kero is the place!! Exceptional service and amazing sushi rolls. My favs are Dancing Tuna Roll, Twin Tower Roll, and X-Mas Roll. If you are looking for a delicious sushi restaurant with a robust menu, Kero Sushi & Japanese Restaurant is the place!! Highly recommended!!“

“The atmosphere is amazing. My daughter and I joined a gamer friend at their Thai New Year event. It was awesome, and they had friends from other Thai Restaurants in the area join them for traditional dances for ther Water Festival. It has the same family vibe as the Thai restaurant my friends and I would always go to back home in Hawaii.“

“We both had the Chipper two piece cod. Great food made fresh, so we waited about 15 minutes but worth the wait. We were greeted upon entering and thanked for coming as we left. Small dining area and clean. Don't let the outside appearance stop you from going in. We are from Texas and stumbled upon the Chipper while we were heading to another restaurant.“

“Great food and service! The family and I dined at Asahi for the first since before COVID. As expected fantastic food, we all ordered either the sushi or sashimi all you can eat dinner. Service seemed a little slow but did not diminish the experience. Sorry did take pictures.Update: B-day dinner for one of the kidlets. “I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been great. Tonight I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and was impressed with the portion size. It was delicious!I thought it felt like things were missing and realized when I got home it’s because there wasn’t rice and beans on one plate with the lettuce, tomato and guac on the side or even on a separate plate. This time it was just beans no rice on the same plate as lettuce, tomato and guac. Would have been great with cheese but it was delicious without it.I will continue to recommend this place because the food is always good and the staff is very welcoming.Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat beef or pork and love that there are plenty of foods I can choose from that taste good. They have many different shrimp and chicken options. Even vegetarian options.“

“The food was so DELICIOUS! As someone who is from Hampton Roads, I don't care for most of the Chinese restaurants here. But this establishment's food was well seasoned, reasonably priced, and nice size portions. And the egg roll? I do not know what meat they put in their regular egg roll, but is was DELICIOUS! I can't wait to return and try some of their other dishes but I can't imagine how good everything else taste!“

“There are maybe two or three barbeque restaurants located within a few miles from me. They all are really good, but the one I visited last weekend is definitely one of the three best in my area - the County Grill & Smokehouse. There are two locations of this restaurant, actually. Both have the same quality food and service, but the one I am referring to is located in Yorktown, Virginia. My Grubbing Buddy and I went on a rainy day and used a County Grill gift card that a good friend gave us as a "thank you." The food smelled incredible as we walked in, and we were immediately seated, though it was pretty crowded at the time. I ordered one of their specialty beers, which was different, but not bad at all. From the menu, I ordered the "Pick 2" half BBQ chicken and half rack of St. Louis style Ribs. My Grubbing Buddy had the house special of two large deep-fried pork chops with a side of gravy. Our sides were similar: collard greens, mixed veggies and mac and cheese. Both our waiter and our hostess were wonderful and very attentive, and the food and drinks were incredible. This is one place we plan to visit again and again.“

“China Ocean is our favorite Chinese place in the area for pickup. They do not have a seating area (the location just isn't big enough for one), and I believe they only deliver within a very small range (we live too far away). Also, some of their items are NOT good for leftovers, which can be dissapointing if you're like me, and enjoy leftovers the next day (sesame chicken is one of them). It is great food if you plan to eat everything within an hour or two of picking it up!“

I would like to have a picture but I was too, too busy stuffing my face as soon as I got it, although nice and hot!Seriously, the flounder sandwich had more pieces of fish than the entire box I'd just purchased @ grocery store, and didn't have to cook it!Worth every dime 4REAL! Skrimps great too--EVERYTHING IS GREAT, EVEN BANANA PUDDING DESSERT. Be warned, NO ROOM for dessert w/fish sandwich (flounder best). You are going to absolutely love this place! ?“
