“They have some nice stuff. Was happy to see amaro nonino for a paper plane build. The bartender was not too personalble. Felt like I was invisible at the bar. Had to actually ask for her to make me a drink. Easily waited 7 minutes with no greeting. There's a total of 5 guests in here at 9:56 pm on a Tuesday. Will maybe try again.Honestly a terrible paper plane. She didn't measure the specs. Way too much lemon“
“Super easy to find right off Main St. Not many places open on a Monday night. So glad I landed here. Casual friendly atmosphere. Service was fabulous. Food was even better. Lots of local beers and good wine too.Dietary restrictions: Several gluten free options including the pad Thai which was delicious!“
“Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and unbelievable spirits! I have never had a maple rye like they have. I find myself more of a cider type of person, and some craft beers, but always found whiskey, bourbon, and other things like that a bit much, until now.The staff is very helpful when you ask questions about each variation they have, and very knowledgeable. They ask you questions also to help you select the spirit that you'll enjoy the most. They have multiple different maple liquors (also non-maple) that I'm sure you'll find one you enjoy. Stop by and have a flight or two, to find the one that fits you best. I promise you'll be leaving with a bottle or two, plus a happy demeanor and a smile!?Also check out their main location at the distillery, a really nice spot, more room, and serve other cocktails."From our river, to your liver". Haha just great!(Disclaimer: my review is identical to their other location, as I find them both as enjoyable as the other.)“
“Stopped here in a Sunday afternoon and the bartender, Ari, told us they had been open about a month and a half. We really liked the place and if we lived closer we'd love to take advantage if the underground/basement lounge where they're going to have live music and other events. Cool atmosphere, nice selection of beers on tap, and a nice, basic menu where if you can't find something to eat then you're the problem. We split the french dip, good roast beef, homemade chips were great, and we had a side of the pasta salad with fresh seasonal vegetables which was good. Definitely recommend it, absolutely worth a shot, open on Sunday's and that's the same day Brattleboro has free parking!! Two things to note - 1) the bar is beer and wine only right now, liquor is served underground but that doesn't have the same hours and 2) the pub is part of the attached hotel, and we didn't experience any if that (although we would like to) it's still open to the public and it's not guests only.“
“Maybe one of the best bars in Brattleboro for beer and hanging out. There’s a ton of space inside and outside which is perfect for bigger groups. Huge variety of beers and the food is alright. Big tvs, music nights and pool tables so there’s always something fun going on - we always have a good time here!“
“So pleased with my Lunch here today! The restaurant is situated within a historical building which lends a warm and artistic flair to the atmosphere. Large room to the left of the bar for groups/events or more intimate dining. Wait staff was polite and knowledgeable. My lunch was incredibly savory and fresh. Prices are reasonable. This will truly be one of my go to restaurants in the area.Vegetarian options: Gluten free options“
“Small town tavern with a chill but energetic atmosphere. The place is well ran, the owner takes an active role in making sure the guests are comfortable and taken care of.The food is excellent and the hardwood is shiny and beautiful. My kinda bar.“
“I stopped in for dinner while visiting Vermont for work. The interior is beautiful: the dining area is lots of wood and metal with old motorcycles on display, and the bright, clean open kitchen with its gleaming copper oven in the center is great eye candy while you wait for your food.I've never had anything like the eggplant fries, which were crispy just before melting in my mouth, and are a must if you like eggplant. The garlic parmesan cauliflower was crunchy with lots of garlic flavor coming through - a nice "healthy" option. For protein I went with the chicken tenders which were great, but nothing unexpected there.Service was very friendly. I sat at a large common table as the private tables were reserved, but the hostess let me know that I could have a private table if I wanted when a reservation was canceled. My server had a bubbly personality and was helpful in explaining the menu. The crowd was mostly adult, but I noticed a family with kids having a good time. The place is a little noisy, but it's a very positive energy. Prices are very agreeable; I spent more on a similarly sized meal at a chain restaurant in Lebanon, NH. There aren't many restaurants in the area, but this one should have you covered if you're looking for a solid meal with a nifty atmosphere.“
“One of the top five meals of my life. Mushroom and asparagus risotto for me, steak and potatoes for my husband with an ACTUAL garlic scape on top. Wine and atmosphere as good as it gets. All of the staff friendly and accommodating. A must do over for us anytime we can get back to Vermont!“
“We went to Kipling's last night and it was wonderful. We were greeted very warmly and the atmosphere was a lovely, well kept, old tavern atmosphere. We had fries as an appetizer, I had a burger and my husband had a fried chicken sandwich, both on delicious local brioche and with a side of yummy caesar salad. For desert we had the chocolate bombe, which was also fantastic. We didn't have to wait long for each course; they were well timed. Will definitely be going back next time we're in Brattleboro!“
