“Stayed in Vermont for a few days with the family. It was challenging to find places to eat as many were closed on Monday, Tuesdays and/or Wednesday's. Mulligans was open on a Monday so we decided to give it a try! It's located in the Stratton Mountain resort, in an area known as "Stratton Village" and it is, as You can imagine from the name, a pub with pub food....and then some. There was outdoor, covered patio seating, but we choose to eat indoor as it was rainy and humid. We were promptly greeted and seated. For one of the few places open on a Monday, it was busy, but not overly so. We started with the pretzel sticks and nachos. Plenty for 5 people. The nachos were huge and loaded. Dinner included the lobster special (2, 1.25 pounders, steamed for $28) which were enjoyed. I had the salmon salad, which was...okay....the salmon was over cooked, which I find typical at most restaurants. The salad was ample, but lightly dressed. Other orders included cheeseburger and fries, chicken wings (plain) and warm lobster roll, which, like the steamed lobster special, was ample, and delicious. The service was delightful, by a very accommodating server named "Susan" who was friendly, attentive and just an all around nice lady. We had fun, we left full, with leftovers and a good time was had by all....and we were thankful they were open on a Monday!!“

“Creative seasonal menu of delicious fare using lots of local products and prepared with a step above twist! The burgers, saison fries, shorty (shortrib) pie and house chips with VT cheddar cauliflower dip are staples and the seasonal specials, salads and soups never disappoint. Oh, and that Whiskey cake!“
“My four year-old daughter and I took my husband out to Barrows for his birthday dinner. I only mentioned it on the OpenTable app because it asked if we were celebrating any milestones. I didn't think anything of it. Our server, Alex, was amazing. He was incredibly kind, attentive, had excellent suggestions, and he was consistently checking in with us. Truly a lovely person. Drinks were devine. I had a lemon drop mocktail that both my daughter and I LOVED. Husband had an old fashioned and said it was perfect. The food was excellent. The soup of the day was a shrimp chowder - beyond! Barrows always had amazing soups. Steaks were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. Our daughter had the kids burger and we opted for the veggie instead of fries for her. She's not a cooked carrot fan yet she inhaled every roasted carrot on her plate. Dessert was shared by the three of us and was yummy! Just as we were finishing dessert, Alex arrived with an entire personal-sized birthday cake for my husband, candle and all. It was such a special and thoughtful gesture. I was really surprised and grateful for this kindness. Barrows has been a favorite of ours for a while. This experience was simply another fantastic evening there. We will always be back!“

“Super accommodating, party of 12 phone in same day. You can tell this is the locals place. Food was surprisingly good. Mac n Cheese bites were gone in seconds. Chowder exceeded my expectations and was very large! Brownie Sunday was a tad dry and wasn't "sizzling" the time it got to table. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers and prime rib. Stacey, are server, did a fantastic job!“
