“Our new favorite! Our son was diagnosed with Celiac this year and we were hesitant to eat out. Jules has been wonderful for our whole family (mom, dad, 5 year old and 18 months old). It is a little quieter atmosphere which made me nervous the first time we went but the staff and other patrons have always been so kind and welcoming to our kiddos and small amount of chaos they bring. The gluten free menu, including kids menu is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable. The desserts are a highlight (we are fans of the gluten free carrot cake). It has been terrific to go out as a family and have equal options for everyone, thank you!Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free options, knowledgeable about the restrictions and cross contamination risksKid-friendliness: So kind, last time we wrote letters to Santa and they had a special mailbox, well about a week later Santa had written back. My son was thrilled!“

“As not one for Indian foods, this place surprised me! The food was some of the best in the area, and not even limited to just Indian cuisine. The love poured into each dish shines through as does the warmth and welcoming personalities of the family who run the place (from North India directly). I loved everything from the Spicy Noodle Samosas, to the Garlic Naan, and the Kadhi Pakoda. Nothing was less than perfect. The desserts were stellar too, we had the Mango Kulfi and the Coconut Cham-Cham, both of which were balanced perfectly. Thank you to everyone who made this place a reality, they have won me over and I know they will win you too!“

“Had a great experience sitting at the bar recently. They were very busy but the bartender took my order as soon as she could, and she was helpful & friendly. Their selection of amari is definitely among the best in the state. I ordered the arugula salad and it was massive, with a good amount of shaved Parm and a tasty dressing. Enjoyed tasting a preview of a super good cocktail that's now on their new Spring menu, called the "Bee's Peas" (thanks Nick!).“

“This pizza is so good and the service was fast. The server was so nice too. I got the mushroom w caramelized onion. It's a little pricy but it's worth it. I got a small and I inhaled a whole one myself tho I could've easily inhaled a large one because when it comes to pizza I'm a professional eater. The crust was so good too, like a bit salty and perfect New York style. The cheese is all from up in these parts and just all so fresh.“

“Kismayo looks unassuming from the outside but it is well worth a stop. They serve a small, simple menu. I ordered the coconut chicken stew, somosas, and a delicious sweet cardamom tea. The stew was flavorful but delicate, with really nicely seasoned, perfectly cooked rice. The samosas were perfectly shaped with fresh tasting ingredients and a subtle heat. The food is clearly made to a high standard and with love. The ladies that run the place also seem to want to create a polite and friendly atmosphere. I'll be coming back.“

“I'm glad I came here thinking I was getting an actual fried chicken sandwich. As soon as I bit into the 8 special, I thought to myself "how did they get chicken to be this juicy?" Then I realized it wasn't chicken, but a masterfully crafted egg fried like the best of the best fried chickens. Truly, the best non chicken fried chicken sandwich I ever had —even among actual chicken sandwiches. A happy accident and a genius concoction. Bravo to the culinary masterminds behind this and the super kind staff.“

“Can't visit my daughter in Burlington without a trip to Pingala. The varied and tasty menu, the friendly staff and the stunning riverfront location can't be beat! This time I tried the Brunch Crunchwrap. Super yummy and the perfect portion size. My daughter got the fresh rolls, which she enjoyed. Can't wait to come back and try more!“
“Best gelato in Vermont. Also, vegan ice cream/vegan gelato! Along with the amazing dairy gelato, there are always phenomenal flavors in the vegan versions. Paul has been dishing up gelato for years but on each of our annual visits are timing was off. Sometimes he had just sold out. This time we were able to get in and try it and returned day after day. This is the best gelato we've had. People were buying pints of it either to take home or to simply sit outside in the sun and enjoy. Everybody was happy and relaxed. It's dog friendly outside and the parking is right out front on the street. Paul takes great pride in what he dishes up as does his staff, you're always met with friendly faces!“

“I’m a big planer when I go on trips and I don’t know how I missed this place, but while hanging around town a woman recommended it to me and praise the stars she did. Some of THE best Mediterranean food I’ve had. And for the love of Pete do NOT skip out on the harissa chicken wings, they are a must get dish. The dolma was dream worthy and I’ve never had octopus the way they served it and it may be difficult to go back. Amazing food, wonderful service and an awesome experience and atmosphere. 20/10 IMO“

“I’m happy with my Picadillo?️ Atmosphere is nice, despacito song was playing? My partner did not finish Tofu Plate, so can’t recommend it? French fries are a big portion and good! Coconut Flan (a desert) wasn’t available. Leaving 5 stars for the overall experience anyway?Parking: Was relatively easy to find a spot for street parking at about 5:30pm on a rainy Friday“

“i cannot believe this place exists! for YEARS, i completely cut out the idea of going out for breakfast, as there are always little to no vegan breakfast options at restaurants. but this place has anything and everything i could ever want, AND MORE! i will definitely stop at this place every time i visit“

“The most amazing staff you will ever encounter, yes it may take a bit sometimes to wait for your food (that's because they are so yummy, everyone wants them) but they always make up for it with a smile and sometimes they even give me a free drink. Love this place been going forever 10/10“

“Pretty good service and lovely location on the dockside. Didn’t love the mezcal negroni but it wasn’t too bad – bit of a harsh aftertaste beyond the typical negroni bitterness. The fried chicken sandwich and beet salad were quite good. We weren’t convinced that the kimchi hot dog actually used kimchi. More like sauerkraut with some hot sauce added to it but it didn’t taste bad.“

“This is not a deli it's an experience. It is everything that is pure about food and hospitality. OK yes, you will wait sometimes but, what a beautiful gift to sit down in a room full of a lifetime of art, sip a beer and be here now while, waiting for an absolute genius to lovingly prepare a handcrafted masterpiece. You want fast, cheap, and easy? McDonalds would love your business and you would love McDonalds....but for the purists, the artists and the romantics...sit down and breathe it all in and, when your food arrives and the universe kisses you on the cheek like a perfect sunset you'll know you're alive.“

“My favourite brunch in all of Burlington! The way their waiting list works is so good because you can walk around while you wait but it usually goes by fairly quickly.Every meal I’ve tried has been perfect. “My wife and I have gone to Bluebird multiple times in the past few years. We’ve had very mixed experiences, some great and some not so memorable. However, my wife and I went recently and had the bbq for two. We had the brisket, smoked turkey and smoked chicken. The brisket was juicy, had a great bark and was super tender (best one we ever had). The chicken was unbelievably moist, fall off the bone, and a delicious smokey taste. The turkey was tender and had a great smokey taste. As for the sides we had the Mac and cheese (perfectly cooked, seasoned and creamy), the coleslaw (creamy and fresh), the braised kale (really well cooked down and perfectly seasoned), and the broccoli (was nothing really special and I would opt for a different side next time). Their maple lemonade was refreshing and a little tart and their bbq sauces really complimented all the meats super well.Whereas I would have rated my food a lot lower in other visits, their food today has redeemed itself and I’m confident in recommending bluebird to anyone visiting Burlington (or lives in-town or nearby). My wife also has celiac disease and they made sure to be careful in the kitchen, and brought the Mac and cheese separately to prevent any cross-contamination, which we greatly appreciated.“

“Go go go go go go go go go go go go go go! Period! Honestly I'm beating myself up for not going prior to my last day and it was only a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I'll know for sure next time. The breakfast sandwich, cinnamon roll and a maple latte...every since I left I make my coffee with maple syrup now. No other way. Very delicious“

“Very cool coffeeshop right in front of the Co-op has great coffee and standout pastries - best croissant ? in Burlington so far - still have more to try. The building itself is a yuppie dream warehouse situation.Parking: Parking is tricky to get into because the access road right next to the coffeeshop is one way. Enter through the Howard center and there is another entrance in back.“

“My mom came to visit me in town and we came here. So glad we did. Sat at the bar. Friendly prompt service. Good wine. Delicious bread!!! And I loved my entree: stuffed quail and mushroom risotto. Great flavor, well executed. Oh! And the tiramisu was THE BEST dessert I’ve had out! Seriously.I live here in Burlington and don’t go out that much anymore because I’ve been so let down by really expensive meals that aren’t that great. Trattoria was worth it.It was so refreshing to have a fantastic night out with great food and ambience. Mom loved it too— and she’s a tough critic!“

“We really enjoyed the food. The server was apparently very Burlington and was a bit unpredictable. We were late in the evening diners, which doesn't bode well for downtown Burlington - we had no idea. We enjoyed every minute of our dinner outside, but know for future visits that early is the way to go.“

“I come to this place probably once a week for a bagel before work and I just had to write a quick review. Whoever is DJ, there's always an amazing playlist. Not only is this my favorite bagel restaurant in Vermont but the music makes me feel like I'm inside of some bagel club and I'm in love with it. Today was a Laryn Hill playlist. Never change. Amazing vibes. 10/10“

“I had an apple muffin the other day that I LOVED. tbh I think it should be called a cupcake since it was an apple spice cake experience in small form but it was really delicious. I love that they have flavored vegan cream cheese. I'm not the biggest fan of their bagels--they're kind of bready, not very traditional bagel-ish. I also want to warn that the past 2 times I've ordered bulk bagels, I've received a cheese bagel in the pack. They used to have something on the website that said they only put vegan bagels in bulk orders, maybe they deleted that? But FYI!“

“i had a bad experience here several years ago, and avoided the place until recently. And now we happily go back weekly, and have never had a less than stellar meal. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the food is served quickly. It's worth the wait!“

“Can’t speak highly enough of this place. The energy, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and the taste of the food. I’ve had several meals here, hot sandwiches, soups, and the buffet. “I tried this place when I first arrived in Vermont a couple of years ago and thought it was OK, nothing special. I just went back a couple of weeks ago and I am still thinking about the pineapple fried rice. I was very happy with the flavor and service. Got there early and still had to wait for a seat, but once seated the food came quick, hot, and good. Going to put this on my take out list...in fact, might order it tonight.Parking: You might struggle to get a spot. Street parking means a bit of a walk.“

“I enjoy working from here and the pastries and espresso drinks are great, but I had a cup of the drip coffee today for the first time and it was way too caffeinated I feel really sick from it. I didn't realize while I was drinking it just how strong it was but this feels dangerous that I'm this wired and jittery from just one cup after 6 hours when I normally have a pretty high tolerance for caffeine. If you have any kind of health issues or caffeine sensitivities be careful!“

“Our server Sally was fabulous!! Best we have had visiting VT. The whole waitstaff was excellent in fact. We liked the ambience except for the fact of a small congregation ( 10) of homeless people hanging out across the courtyard smoking and talking loudly. The cheese plate was fantastic as was the quinoa salad. The Caesar and skewers were also delicious. The peppery salsa with them was super yummy . But...Our risotto cakes lacked flavor despite being crunchy. Nice wine selection and would certainly.gi there again.“
“What can I say except the picture says it all no?? WOW!! What a great ice cream shop. Over 100 flavors to choose from. They have vegan choices also. But come on, that sundae is AWESOME!!! And I think it was 4.75? Sweet deal to me. I only visited 3 times in 2 days. ?? 5 stars for sure!!“

“We went to the Gryphon as a Saturday afternoon date. The ambiance is gorgeous as it occupies an historic hotel. The place was pretty empty but we were day drinking. “Came across this in Burlington next to the lake as we were coming to get beers at Foam Brewers. Deep City is their concept restaurant in the same building, with a bigger food menu. It has some pretty impressive things. A lot of it's meaty but not all of it. There's plenty of plant based choices that replicate the meaty stuff. After seeing this place open we changed plans and went here instead. It's a fancier looking place than the brewery next to it. The prices unfortunately reflect this. It's about $16 for typical items. They got rid of the half portions they had, and now only have the bigger more expensive ones. Boo. There's plenty of plant based options including the Vegan Poutine. Looks a lot like the real item. This instead has cashew squash queso and maitake mushrooms. Good but expensive. This is the only big issue. For sure the food is good. It's just pricy, and they now only have the big portions. These may cost too much, but the good thing is there's plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.“
