Guy cooking was fantastic, friendly and kind, great with the kids and their weird requests.He made it much more fun for them!I got the roast beef cheddar melt and it was fantastic! Big enough for 2 meals for me and he even wrapped it up for me rather than just handing me a box.Keep in mind fries are not on the menu. Breakfast served all day!Street parking right out front.Limited but sufficient seating indoors.”

“Best and only real barista in Rutland! She knows how to steam the milk and texture it properly. Others just put the wand in the milk and start steaming...thats not steaming the milk! If you like real steam milked from an espresso machine, come here.”

“Hey name is Alex and I own “Hair Force One” on Stratton Road and a client of mine gave me a gift card to West St., Grill… I finally decided to use it this evening being February 16 and asked my son to join me so we went… We were seated immediately. The waitress was awesome, the bartender was super friendly!… We ordered soup first that was dynamite!… The main course came and it was so good we inhaled it !…. Seriously, I do not cook whatsoever therefore I eat out and this restaurant rocks.!!….. Everybody has got to try this place, you will not be disappointed!!”

“Masala Corner really exceeded my expectations, I’m glad I came in. I came by myself (and missed the buffet, which is only on Wednesday) so I didn’t get to try many things, but everything was flavorful, spicy, and fresh - much better than most of the indian places near me in NYC, and better than anywhere else I’ve eaten in Rutland. I’ll be back with a bigger group!”

“Extremely well run, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Even famed author David Sedaris talked in Rutland at his reading last month about this place. Sometimes my husband and I take the hour and fifteen minute one way trip here because we love it so much. I hope it never changes. The only criticism is my kids want to buy everything in the gift shop and a 60 dollar bill turns into a 140- haha.”

“Wife and I arrived and taken straight to reserved table. Great service, GREAT FOOD, dessert (blondie brownie w/ ice cream) and meal was very reasonably priced. Definitely will go again, and if you are in the Rutland area, make sure you stop in to try the menu.”

“I have tried Jones' donuts a few times. They are absolutely amazing. I love the Lemon filled, Maple glazed, Apple filled, Chocolate Frosted.. These donuts are the best I've ever eaten. I live 2 hours away and have recommended Jones' donuts to everyone i know.”

“THEY CHANGED HOURS… Thursday Friday And Saturday they’re open 8-8 and do wood fired pizza! Look on their instagram for more information!!! Amazing place one of my favorite spots in town! As a local this place is just amazing they remember your names the staff is amazing. The food is fantastic some of the best pizza I’ve ever had (worth the price to me!). Also they got new owners in June of 2023 amazing people, local family, super invested and have definitely seen an uptick in quality and menu items! A new name change is coming soon can’t wait Vegetarian options: There’s street parking in front of the bakery and behind the bakery! When busy it’s difficult to find parking but usually can find parking within a 2 minute walk, all free!Dietary restrictions: Gluten and vegetarian options for pizza nights. Expanding their gluten free options for baked goods and desserts. Lots of vegetarian options!”

“Honestly this was an experience. When we arrived the line was wrapped around the entire sandwich shop and we decided to wait it out. It was so worth it!!It was fun watching the entire staff with the hustle and bustle. They had an impressive system going. From the prep stations, refill station and then the crew tackling the sub line!We got the Hot Italian on a gluten free wrap. It was truly impressive. The events are really special - we've enjoyed amazing food, super entertaining musical offerings, and a small town atmosphere, in the best possible way. “Have wanted to try Bueno Burrito for awhile and finally did. So glad! We will be regulars because of the healthy choices we can make for delicious food. Whole wheat wraps, brown rice, beans and veggies and then the Chipotle aoli for a spicy additional treat. We had burritos, bowls and quesedillas. Everyone was pleased with their choice. Since the food was so nice and fresh, I'll try one of the salads in the future.”

“Food is 10/10! Loved the specials! Pizzas are my favorite here. Seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night (4/27). Food came out quickly though, once ordered.Love the atmosphere. One thing stood out though. As much as I love cultivating a family like atmosphere, seeing multiple 5-6 year olds sitting at the bar while the bar is also packed on a Saturday night is not a good look. Also, it quite frankly is bad for business. You’re literally losing money allowing children to be saddled up to the bar. There were plenty of open tables for them to be sitting in while they wait for a table. Again, seemed understaffed which is why the tables weren’t full, yet a line out the door. I’d be quite unhappy as the bartender…. And I certainly wouldn’t be happy sitting next to a 5 year old while I’m taking tequila shots trying to let my hair down on a Saturday night.”

“Chose this restaurant for a light breakfast, and really enjoyed it. We ordered the breakfast special, which consists of eggs, cheese and bacon on a wheat English muffin. I ordered a regular coffee ( plenty of types to choose from) and my wife had a caramel latte. Coffees were good, and sandwiches were delicious and filling. We ate in and there was ample seating at 9 am.”

She didn't particularly enjoy all the taxidermy displays on the wall though. I got asked lots of questions about how the animals got up there.”

“My new weekly ritual on Tuesday is to order my dinner from Avellinos. Rigatoni with meatballs and Italian sausage. Homemade Italian bread also included. For the price...usually $11, you get your to go container full of delicious pasta with sauce and parmesan cheese. Don't care where you dine in Rutland...for the price, you get enough food for at least 2 meals. Plus I get to support a local business, and a fellow moose lodge member. If you haven't called them before, perhaps give them a call sometime for dinner on a day you're unsure of your dinner plans. You won't be disappointed. I believe orders are taken from 4-7pm. Take out of course.”

“April 19, 2024 can’t say enough about this spot. The service, drinks, and dinner was over the top. What a find. We had some Spanish wine. Lots of apps. Meats, cheese, olives, Brie. Salads so fresh. Steak with local blue cheese and grain salad for the non meat eater! Sambuca and the best black coffee ever with NY cheesecake. Wow make a reservation”

“This is a classic Italian delicious. They're all about sandwiches, but we got stuffed shells, eggplant and chicken parmesan, and split peanut soup. They have a few tables you can sit and eat at, and everyone there is really nice. The food was excellent and the choices were great. They had five different soups on offer! The deli case food is all made fresh each day, and well it was just great.One thing you should know: enter through the beverage center main doors. We were confused but a nice guy coming out steered us in the right direction.Parking: You can park right out front. Super easy.”

“I tried Speakeasy’s biscuits and gravy for the first time six months ago and I don’t think I’ve gone more than two weeks without them since. Their Very Serious Burrito is also amazing and one of the more unique and flavorful breakfast items I’ve ever had, and they always have a great rotating cast of interesting cream cheeses and biscuits. I’m moving out of Rutland next month and will SORELY miss the Speakeasy Cafe!!!”
