“This place gets busy 12-1:30pm, I usually go by 11:30 and never have to wait for a table. The staff is really polite but do not expect them to wait on you. You order, they bring your food and will bus your table. You must get your own chopsticks, napkins and water like an adult.“

“I recently tried Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine and I was impressed by the freshness of their ingredients! One standout dish was the Grilled Coconut Chicken on Rice- the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and had a delicious creamy coconut flavor. The accompanying vinegar sauce paired wonderfully with the sticky rice, adding a nice tangy contrast.

I also ordered their Iced Coffee, which was rich, sweet, and almost dessert-like—ideal for a hot day. I actually got it for a picnic, and it was the perfect refreshing treat!

“I was in the area craving bahn mi, this was the only place that had it so we came here. My fiance ordered the mongolian beef and we were pleasantly surprised by a gorgeous and huge plate that included a lovely salad too. We also got eggrolls and everything was delicious. Staff was also very kind, i even saw one move to hold the door unpromted when they saw a wheelchair user heading out. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Overall a great find, so glad we came!“

“The best pho broth in the east side. Balanced and flavorful. I could sip it everyday. Have been coming here for years. Used to dine in for pho once a week in “before COVID” times with my now fiancé.

I like to get #45 the brisket, fatty flank and tendon. The tendon is really good and melts in your mouth. Docked a star because the pho meat portions seem to have gotten smaller since the pandemic started.“

(4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. “10/9/2021 Recommend? Yes. I arrived right after they open with my luggage because I was starving from my long train ride in from Whitefish, MT. The server was super nice. He got me hot tea and banh cam to settle in with. I ordered bo bia (autumn rolls), vegan pho, and roasted pork banh mi (to go). The banh cam had a thick dough and it was huge. Two of those could've been a whole meal. Everything I ordered was delicious and they were so kind! My favorite was definitely the banh mi. It was even good after I had refridgerated it. The best part was the vegan butter and vegan pate. I absolutely loved it, best vegan banh mi I've had.“

“I stopped by here for some quick food before a Seahawks game, and I was incredibly surprised by how good this place was
I got the Grilled Pork Bahn Mi, and what surprised me the most was how cheap it was. Compared to how expensive everything around me was, the fact that I could get this for as low as $10 instantly drew my eye. Considering this price, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this actually turned out very good

I've had a bunch of pork bahn mi's in the past, and this definitely ranks up there as one of the best.
The baguette is super crispy on the outside, yet it didn't feel chewy or hard to get through like you'd often feel with bread that is too hard. Despite the crispiness it was still not too difficult to bite through and get through both sides of the sandwich
I loved the amount of mayo slathered across both sides of this. When making a sandwich like this, sauce is exceedingly important because the risk of making the sandwich feel dry is high. However, in this case, it added to the flavor a lot

The vegetables as a part of this were really good too
The highlight of this sandwich was the pork. It was in relatively large circular pieces scattered throughout, and was abundant throughut the sandwich. This pork was cooked really well, super fatty and flavorful, and you could tell it was recently grilled because of the char marks on the outside - which just added to that grill flavor. It was fantastic

For the price, you really can't beat how good this was, and it was pretty filling as well

Overall, a tiny place that offers an incredibly good version of this classic sandwich. 9/10“

“Billiard Hoang is a rare spot in Seattle where the quality and quantity of the meal was well worth the reasonable price. The space inside won't win any awards, but it was casual, relaxed and had pool tables if you want to play. The menu isn't the largest I've seen in the city for Pho, etc but it had more than enough to satisfy most people. The food we received was absolutely delicious - among the best Vietnamese fare I've had in the Seattle area. Absolutely will be back!“

“Best bahn mi in Seattle. I’m a big fan for bahn mi (thus have high standards for one) and I crave them a few times a month. Had tried a couple of places in Seattle, Belltown, UDstrict and west Seattle, but they rarely meet my expectations.

This place is my go to! The pork Vietnamese sandwich tasted just right with the traditional topping and paste. The baguette is also perfect. Everything is done the right way.

Also for $11, it was very affordable and easy to grab for lunch when working remotely (i used to live near the store)“

In an era of $20 bowls and $18 lunch specials, Tan Dinh offers the best bang for the buck I’ve come across in my adventures. “I’ve eaten at almost every pho shop in the northwest and this is definitely one of the best ones I’ve been to.
Probably the top two!
The broth is so good and intense. I always get the steak of brisket with steak on the side and I like to cook it myself.
I also like the self serve condiment bar because I absolutely love plenty of basil, lime, and sprouts. And they also have cilantro, which made me very happy.

“Finally a place that serves more unique Vietnamese dishes beyond the more commonly known pho, rice noodle bowls and fresh rolls! Love that I can get Bun cha Ha Noi, Bahn Beo and Banh Cuon! Atmosphere is simple and I wouldn’t give the service 5 stars, but I didn’t go there expecting perfection in these areas. I went for the food, and it is solid! “My friend brought me here because she loves her hot and sour Thai noodle soup and the service. As soon as we walked in I understood what she meant about the service. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They remembered her preferences -- which is always a good sign.

She ordered a fresh avocado smoothie, and it was truly delicious. Not made of powder but actual fresh avocados and choice of dairy or non-dairy.

It was on her recommendation that I tried the hot and sour Thai noodle soup but instead of Thai noodles she recommended the pho noodles. She went with the vegetable broth and the tofu to keep things vegetarian and I opted for the beef broth and the rare steak slices for the flavor. The soup was both refreshing and flavorful, something that it takes a really good spicy and sour soup to pull off. (Not to be mistaken for the Chinese hot and sour soup, which is an entirely different flavor.)

I can see why this is a regular go to pho spot for my friend.

“I loved this small place on Beacon Hill. I was visiting from Detroit and saw it as I walked from the train to where I was staying. I went in an hour before they opened without realizing it, and the friendly owner invited me to come back at lunchtime. I'm glad I did. The owner greeted me again warmly. I had veggie pho with tofu and a Vietnamese coffee, both absolutely delicious. The servers were friendly as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Not much atmosphere, but very friendly, satisfying food, and reasonable price. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go back.“
